Computer Virus Auction! Demonstration Soon

Pablicosta

Presenting, The Duo 3 Virus!

Short and Simple!

Remotely detonated computer virus, capable of taking down an entire network from one system. The server is not required, just a single system anywhere in the network. Router connections are also vulnerable targtes, resulting in possible mass industry computer failure.
Un-detectable by even the most comprehensive virus scanners, the virus fits into the system hardware and matches itself as a working dummie,in-visable to the user, of a key file. It betters itself in a constant battle with the true file, untill the true file is inferior and is thusly detected as an un-nescessery file by any virus checke and is deleted, leaving the virus. Then it simply over-rides the system, blacks it out, wipes and destroys the hard-disk and fries the motherboard.

Fun.

Who wants to start the bidding?

DEMONSTATION

Three men enter a room full of computers, they pass through it into the next room which contains a single server unit. NOT ATTACTHED TO A SERVER.
One man loads his weapon as another opens a briefcase and sits, he inserts a small cable, leading to a small black box into the USB port on the front of the machine. A loading line zips green bricks across the screen.
A grey windows message pops up;
[code:1:d1a14d6a62]Hardware loaded Succesfully. Operate now?
____ ___
| Yes | | No |
------- ------
[/code:1:d1a14d6a62]
The man moves the mouse to the Yes button and clicks. A second box appears, this time black and certainly not Windows.
[code:1:d1a14d6a62]Please Enter Target IP
________________
|_______________|[/code:1:d1a14d6a62]

The computer man takes out a piece of paper and enters a number from it. Then he hits OK.

A final Box Appears;

[code:1:d1a14d6a62]Are You Sure?
___ ___
|Yes| |No |
---- -----
[/code:1:d1a14d6a62]

Yes
The laoding line appears again and then dissapears.

Done Says the man as he stands, watching the units in the adjacent room blacking out one by one, then listening to the frazzling of computer circuitry.

Enough Proof Says the man, looking at the audience.

I bid more than whatever you bid! But seriously, before we begin bidding, we'd like to know if this virus is duplicable.

No you dont, thats cheating . NO PROXY BIDDERS

Secondly, It depends how you mean, it can not be cloned without the key code, which will be kept by Pablicosta at all times, so You can't have two lots of it.
However, you do not need to clone it as once the virus is uploaded onto your controll system it does not expire. You can target as many servers as you like. We don't recomend more than 10 full server hits though, as this is known to attract the authorities watching server lines, and they may pick up no the nano-second infection time as the virus is picked up.
I hope this answers your question.

Open Communique to All Involved Nations

You've got to be kidding me.

A "virus" (looks more like a worm to me) that is some weird blend of hardware and software, engages in "battle" with "key files", and somehow causes hardware to destroy itself is now going for over 25 trillion?

Are you people thinking here? Most governments these days use their own proprietary Operating Systems. How would this thing have any clue as to what system is being used? Or where these "key files" are? Does it have every OS in the universe programmed in? If so, this is one massive file.

Seriously, if I had 25 trillion chits (or dollars, or pounds, or whatever), I'm sure I could come up with all sorts of things. Has anybody considered taking these huge sums of money and giving it to their R&D departments, and developing their own things? Is this virus/worm/whatsit really worth that much money? I've seen nations sold for less!

And I'm not even getting into the issue of something like this trying any system with some sentience behind it...
