The capital city of my nation, has a large emo music scene so large that 45 % of the country love this music. So does your country has a music scene going on there?

OOC: Emo fan I take it? Nothing wrong with it- I'm a fan of everything.

IC: Big centres for music in the Roman Empire? In Rome is a large and diverse music scene covering every style of music imaginable, including an indegenious music recently dubbed "real Latin". In Tulum, in the province of Hispania-Romano, the music scene is pretty much all psychedelic music of all kinds- as every resident there smokes marijuana and does not do anything all day.

The Tarran music seen has yet to recover to the full strength it possessed beafore the fall, the two majour types of music that have reemmerged fastest have been the minimilist electro-acoustic expermental musics loosley trermed as 'classical' and the more down to earth crossover genra called 'glitchpop' which incorprates the tambral diversity of Electroacoustic musics with the rhythmic and structural power of electronica.

OOC: And now I get to say that I'm going to advertise for my favorite bands calling them an ASW enterprise! Go listen to the tracks I post.

IC: In the North, people tend to listen to heavily constructed or dark German music. Some perfect examples as follows...

http://www.gothicpalace.com/freeloader/bumped/Das%20Ich%20-%20Der%20Schrei.mp3

People also enjoy many classical songs. In the South, people enjoy music much along the similar genre, except in English/Asian languages, or with more English or Asiatic influences. Examples...

Much of ASW likes to focus on the (goth) industrial, techno, or heavy metal theme. The anthem was re-written to keep pace with the modern times in a heavy-metal version, simply to drag out a standing applause from audiences. It succeeded.

OOC: Not emo, I'm an elitest ass, don't draw me into a debate about it, but anyways...
IC:

Haaregradia has a thriving music scene, many cities have thriving industrial, hardcore, emo, techno, trip-hop, shoegazer, punk and just about every type of independant music. As most radio stations are owned by colleges or the State they are more concerned with promoting culture then with making profits.

After hearing bands like Moss Icon, Heroin, The Swing Kids, Indian Summer and Saetia an almost uncountable number of emo bands sprung up in and around Trotskygrad. While the hardcore scene in Trotskygrad focuses on the emotional and is introspective, the Leningrad and Kiev hardcore scenes are about strength and unity. Kiev is the home of Haaregradian straight edge hardcore, and isn't a place to bring your beer and cocaine.

Haaregrad City is the most cosmopolitan city with a wide range of styles, however emo, especially Fugazi, Hot Water Music and Small Brown Bike influenced emocore is very popular here. Trotskygrad bands scream and cry, Haaregrad City bands tend to be a bit more restrained, but are still very emotional.

Haaregrad City is also the centre of Haaregradian techno, most of which is similar to gabber and terrorcore. They say Haaregradian ravers are more hardcore the New York City punks.

Jamwo is an extremely cultured nation, with classical and jazz predominating our music scene, with world music also on the map.

All cities, down to the smallest town, have a music hall. The most acclaimed is the Thomas J. Cartwright Music Hall in the city of Redstone.

If so that's disappointing.

~Broken up by cities and regions~

In Luxorn the music scene is mostly country, folk, classical, Gregorian chant, gospel, and sagas.

In the island of Luxorn itself it's country, folk, classical, ballads, sagas, jazz, beebop. (This is the same in the island of Lincoln)

In the island of Davis the music scene is country, ballads, reggae, bawdy songs, tribal music, barbershop quartet, and choir music.

In the island of Gull it's sea chantys, bawdy songs, reggae, free form jazz, early rock & roll, love songs, and fiddles.

In our capitol Dar Kartha, the music is a rai-influenced pop sound.
politics is a primary theme in this type of music.

The northern frontier clans are a bit isolated, but the newer generation has espoused metal as their genre. Many bands have a progressive influence similar to the band Mizraab (http://www.mizraab.com/),and other bands such as Kayo Dot/Maudlin of the Well, and Opeth.

The most popular bands here are the Jimmy Henderix Experience, Iron Maiden, Queen, Black Sabbath w/ Ozzy, Van Halen w/ David Lee Roth, NWA, Public Enemy, Ice T, and the BWO theme song.

We scream like Thursday, Were just more post emo indie rock. We do cry ok. Were just more into more of the emo which many people know about. We are also into Fugazi and Rites of Spring. We like Saddle Creek bands. I just forgot to add em(I'm probably the youngest leader ever, I'm 12). You see, our main influence has to be Fugazi, Nation of Ulysses, Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker, and Rites of Spring. A lot of us are influenced by Fugazi and Sunny Day Real Estate. Plus I'm just a young leader and most of my emo knowledge was from Fourfa. Many emo kids do like Julia, Heroin, Moss Icon, Indian Summer, Antioch Arrow, Second Story Window. It's just too underground to be noticed in the Blargian mainstream. Sunny Day Real Estate is just minor mainstream. We do know what the octave chord is.

Though every commune in FOE has a roboust music scene, Port Bakunin is the undisputed cultual mecca of the Federated Anarchist Communes. Every variety from folk and jazz to punk, rock, and ska is represented, though most contemporary Free Outer Eugenian music is a fusion of many 'genres' with poetry, philosophy, spoken word and preformance art thrown into the mix. This heady mix is exemplified by music collectives such as Glazed Ham, Pornhut, Carnival and The Cyanide Hotcakes.

tecno-ambient glacialy cool fussion seems to dominate our music
in the mountains outdoor festiveals that are held freequently in many of our smaller villages

while large crowds do gather from all over for these events

it may be interesting to note that actualy performing music is almost
as popular as listning to it

actualay tecno-ambient glacialy cool fussion IS the traditional music of carlemnaria

though 'covers' of other genre are also quite fun and popular

people often bring odd, creative, even fancifuly shaped objects which
are synthizers with them to these concerts and no performing ensamble can get away without at least one audiance participation track.

another form of popular musical even is the bardic circle

these take place in the evenings in a majority of villages and neighborhoods, often several times a week, our weeks being only six days long as to fit three of them into each 19 day month.

Gemraven
24-03-2004, 18:23
The nation of gemraven is still contemplating which area of clubs it would like to buy in its region of Berkeley. The Telegraph Ave. scene is currently being dominated by the college set, but in its fairly recent history bands such as Cake and Green Day got their start there. Then there is the Gilman the stage for more hard core punk performances, The Starry Plough which does a bit of river dancing and all sorts of odd things, and Ashkenaz which has zydeco music, open mics and swing bands depending on which night you attend. Right now I believe we're leaning toward annexing the downtown area which has Jupiter's an open air brew pub with frequent jazz & blues performances, Beckett's an irish pub that has a drag queen doing karaoke once a week, and the Shattuck Down Low which caters to the hip hop and salsa crowds. The region of berkeley truly offers many musical choices.
