Reclusive Nation Reopens Communication!

The tiny nation of Isidonia reopened its borders today, sending a small military zeppelin out into the skies above the South-Eastern Continent. This is the first flight out of the nation in months, the nation having closed its gates and ceasing all airship traffic in or out of its inhospitable region. While a minor player in International Politics, Isidonia made waves in its day, with proclaimations banning artificial intelligence, as well as sanctioning the destruction of electronic lifeforms found within its borders. It was also amont the first nation to make contact with the African Principality of the Difference Engine.

Isidonia is among the smallest nations in the world to consider itself an empire, having only a single colony in the harsh regions of the Isidon Valley, located in the largely unexplored parts of the South-Eastern Continent.

Whether or not the nation will resume diplomatic relations is unknown at this time, and no official statement has been received from its capital city of Heliona.

The Communist governement of Sonnorion would like to send their goodwill towards you and your country. Relations amoung countries is very important in this chaotic time, and though we are a fairly new nation, we have grown substainally and always look foward to more countries in the international playing field.

A new and startling developement has occured, in the story of the lone zeppelin seen in the skies above Isidon yesterday evening.

As dawn broke today, the airship was sighted approaching the Isidonian border, when a sudden flash of light, resembling a huge electric arc, lashed out from the ground and split the craft. The bolt apparently ignited the zeppelin's gas bags, causing the entire craft to be engulfed in flames in a matter of minutes.

Observers believe that the bolt may have been produced by one of the many Tesla rays which ring the Isidon valley, providing defence from aerial invasion and missile attack. It is believed at this time, that the defensive grid malfunctioned, making this the first reported ray accident in the nation's history.

As of this printing, the Isidonian government has yet to release a statement, and no rescue effort has been observed.

Hours after the fatal zeppelin explosion earlier today, the Nation of Isidon broke its months-long silence, sending a transmission via wireless telegraph to the offices of the International Press. A transcript of this message can be read below.


"Citizens of the world, it is with great reluctance that the Isidonian people return to the international stage. Nearly a year ago, our peaceful, devout nation was the site of a great upheaval, in which a number of citizens, misguided and poisoned by external influences, attempted a revolution. Thousands perished in the rioting and street warfare which followed, but eventually, those responsible were captured, and placed in the Inquisitions best internment and rehabilitation encampments.

"Recently, a number of these dangerous men escaped confinement, and attempted to flee the country in a stolen scout dirigible. As was reported by your International Press Service, this rogue zeppelin was delt with by our missile defense systems.

"As the Office of the Grand Inquisitor conducts its investigation into the escape, we, the Regent-Priests of Isidon, humbly request the assistance of the worlds' governments. Two major revolutionaries, going by the names of Wulf Jaeger and Juan Marco Diaz, are still unaccounted for, and may have secretly left the Isidon Valley. We request that our international neighbors assist in our efforts to apprehend these criminals. Remember: These men are dangerous terrorists and skilled liars.

"Any assistance will be remembered favorably by our government. We now look to the future, to establish new ties to the world beyond our borders.

"In the name of the Glorious God Emperor, may peace be upon you all,
