Foreword: Ok, this is just a wild, and probably stupid, impracticle and unthoughjt through idea, but before you click the reply button to flame me, just finish reading the post.

Basically, i have an idea (a vision if you like) of a system of older nations mentoring younger nations in the way of the RP. I believe that this would cut down in the number of n00bs and godmoders out there dramatically, and it would also mek older nations feel good about themselves when their nation they were mentoring starts standing up against them and attacks the older nation (without godmodding!).

Im not sure whether this has been tried or thought up before, but if it hasnt, it has now.

To get mentors, just older, and more experienced in RP nations, who are able to teach the young nation. they are selected on a volunteer basis. The young nation, will just say that they would like to be mentored by a nation and they will be assigned a nation, preferalbly one with the same kind of RP area (ie, space and space, not space and stone age).

Once again, im not sure if this would work, but does any one have any thoughts, flames or even better approvals :P

I don't know. I can see a lot of questionable nations volunteering to mentor because of their creation date. I'd hate to think of, say, Ma-tek or Raem mentoring anyone.

I dare say I may be interested in helping as a Mentor, but whether nations would be willing to listen is something else.

that was one of the problems i thnk, actually getting newbies to come and enter a program like this.

Remeber, if you're going to hire mentors, hire ones who can actually RP -- not the ones who only say they can.

I woudn't mind having a mentor. Althought I have RP:d a lot of regular rpg:s (and even LARP=Live Action Role Play's) there is still the fact that english isn't my native tongue and it would be nice to get ideas and advice from older players. My nation is an semi-futuristic nation at the moment. There is some sci-fi stuff, like the cloning of my current leader and some sentient ravens. Also I am slowly making myself into an Space Nation because it fits the original storyline for my nation. Hmm, ask me if you need to know more...

I would be interested in helping younger nations learn the fine art of roleplay. Though I'm not as old as some here, anyone who cares to look at Mind Games (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=131088) will see that I am a very good writer and possess an excellent command of the English language. I'm near-future tech and advancing, slowly climbing up to space.

The region was created specifically to help new nations learn how to role play.
