Sorry, the server is misbehaving.

Short summary
* A clear out of veterans who have left due to the continuing server problems or RL issues
* The return of some old names
* A whole bunch of new alliances formed and some dead, mainly of n00bs but some of veterans.
* Roania left and returned

I couldn't help but notice that there is another thread which seems to be about the impending death of an NS Pope, and it isn't covered with the usual righteous fury from countries like Roania and yourself... did all the NS Catholic countries finally recognise an NS Pope?

Well, it was good RP not to be spoilt by arguments based on RL or our usual dogma.

Welcome back! Good to see you once again, Iesus Christi arested some Syskevians and burned them, they then burned the Thelasi Cardinal and Bishops sent to defend the Syskevians.... they then arested the other laywers and have them in the inquisition.

Well, he did say JP II died in '88, and in that Council of the Universal Church (which I presume took place in '03) we all affirmed that JPII was the Pope, and I've quoted stuff that JPII and his curia have written since 1988, so to recognize his universe would be to contradict my nation's storyline.

Holy Vatican See's Pope was very much like the real Pope, and the HVS players really know their Catholicism, so not to be lumped in with the usual "omg eye'm the pope all otehr popes sux0r lol!!!11" stuff. Given that this allows an authentic religious RP (and yes, i'm still not in line with this Vatican's teaching) it's totally worth taking part in. I really hope you do get involved in it, Pantocratoria, since you also really know your stuff.

Not much is happening with that now that Gambini won. There is still the deal with Warriors o Jesus but its dying fast.

Well, I missed the start of the conclave itself, so I thought I'd sit out for this election. I'm not going to get into any pissing fights along the lines of "Real Pope vs HVS Pope", and so long as the HVS Pope is a realistic and well RPed one (and the stuff I've read suggests that this is the case), I'm quite happy to regard him as the Pope in RPs where others have named him as the Pope. I'm also quite happy to regard the real Pope as the Pope in RPs with people like Syskeyia.

I'll definitely be involved in the next conclave, though! 8)

I've now recognised the HVS Pope, but I still have no problem RPing with those who do not.

The Holy Empire of Pantocratoria is likewise interested in opening relations with the PRKS. There'll be an RP thread for this soon (next couple of days), please send an ambassador along! I'll post a link to the thread here when it is up.
