Adam and Eve - not steve.[Serious RP]
The northern fields were a public place open to everyone to enjoy. It wasn't like people would flock there everyday to play but there would be enough. Once the scene of one of the greatest battles in Diminix history, it was now to become the scene of a brutal and grotestque display of human emotion....
[March 8, 2004]
The sounds of the whips cracking against human flesh could be heard from a mile away. That was chilling enough to onlookers who happened to be in the area when it started but the spine chilling sound which followed was even worse. There was a total of thirty seven men from the long known religious group "The Passions". They were mostly a silent, to themselves, type religious group. Not getting into too much politics but they had their codes and their laws.
Every few weeks they would do their KKK similar cross burning for god knows what reason, but people did not want to interfere. They just minded their own buisness. Maybe it wasn't the best idea. Over the past week twenty one men in the same area became missing. Investigations were put into effect as they normally would but something was common about all the men. All were illegal homosexuals living in Diminix.
Well now they were found. Barely alive and getting the beating of a lifetime. Up on that mountainous getaway "The Passions" took their religious anger out on these men in the most gruesome way. The men were already stripped of every piece of clothing besides a now, blood soaked towel that drapped on their body. The Passions faces could not be seen, only cloaked by their traditional white masks. The leader, dressed in red, pulled his arm back and snapped it down. The whip broke into one of the victims backs and left a gaping wound.
His screams could no longer be heard, only the emotion on his crinkled and bloody face and a tear running down his eye. The Passions got word from their brothers around the country that authorities were coming and it was time to end the festivies. In three large trucks, they dragged out long wooden pieces. People on the hills awed in shock as the huge wooden crosses were placed firmly into the grassy floor and the victims nailed to them one by one. Across that bloody field the twenty one crosses were soaked with gasoline and set ablaze leaving a trail of smoke that could be seen from the farthest reaches of Greater Prussia. Then the Passions left.
[March 9, 2004]
It was not so much mourning that had struck the people of Diminix. It was shock and confusion. Shock, considering that this generation had never witnessed such brutality. And confusion because they did not know whose side to support. The Kaiser was alot more kind hearted then his fathers and grandfathers, but the charter of Diminix remained. Male homosexuality was illegal in Diminix. It left the people confused. At this time the government had made no official responce to the crucifications and burnings.
[OOC: Alright I'm leaning more towards of just STARTING OFF with whoever feels like joining in start to put pressure on the Dominican government for allowing this to happen. Respond here or telegram me if you want to get involved. Once we establish who's in or not it'll become closed and future developments will be discussed]
I am distressed that the Government would allow such an outrage to continue. You may not agree with someone's sexuality, but it by no means should mean torture and death! Nor should this terrorism, yes terrorism, be allowed to grow.
Kaiser of Diminix, I beseech you to reconsider your charter and to stop this hideous violence against your own people! No human being should be treated in such a fashion! You are a sovereign country unto yourself, but for the love of what's rights, common decentcy and common sense, put an end to the violence and blood shed!

When it becomes obvious that a group of people cannot control themselves in a civilized manner, precautionary measures must be taken to ensure that the peaceful lives of thoses who value life and the fruits of it are not in danger of losing what is rightfully theres, regardless of sexual preference. I encourage Diminix first to try those responsible for this barbarous display of ignorance and hatred, and secondly to repeal its laws forbidding homosexuals from residing in Diminix. The trouble your country is going through just too appease some conservative religous-types is far to great for the prosperity of freedom your country could enjoy otherwise. The country of Igottapee is in favor of any law abiding actions that must be taken in order to preserve the safety of life in the world and the importance or civility.

I'll post a statement when I can.
As queen of Quackamaduckland I have the heavy burden of caring for each of my subjects as if I were his or her mother, sister, daughter, wife, or best friend. From this experience I have learned that the essential duty of a monarch is to love. This is the supreme law handed down to us. I must, therefore, condemn any country's decrees that allow for violence against its own people based on sexuality, based on anything. If you beat and kill because you believe homosexuality is wrong what have you become? A country of vile murderers. If you think homosexuality is a sin, which is the greater: murder or consensual homosexual sex? Clearly, these abusive laws violate the purpose of government. That's why, in response, I have not only declared civil unions, but gay marriage legal in my queendom. Let all my neighbors know without doubt that the Queendom of Quackamaduckland seeks to be wise and understanding. Where there is real crime, there is just punishment; but where there is honest difference, where there is love, there is peace and freedom.
The Grove was a busy place over the last twenty four hours. Millions of people awaited the reaction to the brutal crucifications that happened early yesterday. E.S.C.N.A reporters tried to gather outside and around The Grove but were drawn away by secret service agents with M16 machine guns. Now for an entire mile around The Grove it was quiet, no one bothered to go near it. But inside The Grove things were different. The meeting which would decide the publics decision and most likely their fate on the situation was underway.
[East Grove Wing - Private Confrence Room]
The Kaiser Anthony Ses'uh sat at the end of the table with his hands folded and a small stack of papers infront of him. He didn't look nervous at all, but more happy. He took a sip of water from the cup infront of him and looked around the table at his cabinet members.
"Gentlemen, can someone please asses the damn situation here? What the hell hapened out there?" Asked the Kaiser
The Minister of Home Affairs smirked and raised his hand, getting a nod to speak from the Kaiser.
"Sir, it seems that one of our greatest predicted incidents has occured. Sixty three years ago when The Passions first surfaced and became noticed amongst the crowds they were similiar to the Klu Klux Klan. The white power, the cross burning and so on. We didn't really do anything about it because a bunch of rebel whites guys wasn't our problem. We were engaged in the Crimsvillian war and support for Crimsville was growing by the second, it wasn't our concern. So we let them go about. After we noticed that they weren't in to hurt the citizens, we officially decided to let them have their land and stuff." Said the minister
The Kaiser looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a confused face.
"My grandfather let this go?" Asked the Kaiser
"Yes, my lord. The thing is he did not want to start another worse with the country. We were mourning the death of our soldiers in Crimsville and the further loss of life wasn't nessacary. So he let it go. They didn't seem like a problem at the time. Then they just died out of existence. We thought they had given up their ideals and decided to just go home." Said the minister
"So what do you suggest we do about this? The public is awaiting a responce. Everyone is." Said the Kaiser
"The charter is the charter and it's been in stone that male homosexuality is illegal in this country. I know all of the men at this table support what they did right?" Said the general of the Greater Prussian Lufftwaffe Tony Yayo
Everyone at the table nodded.
"We can't go out there and say it wasn't a big deal. Those hippy countries out there who want peace will be all over our asses in an hour trying to rev their military engines and start putting sanctions on us." Said the General
"I suggest we lie to them -" Said the minister before he was interupted by the Kaiser
"No, we're not letting them get their way. The charter of Diminix is the law and that's it. You go out there, tell them that we do not support male homosexuality. Tell the people that they were illegal immigrants living in this country for who knows. Probally to see their gay lovers. Tell them there is nothing we can do about it."
[Announcement]
The Grove's Official Spokesman stepped out of the backroom and walked towards the wooden podium on the stage. He didn't waste any time getting to the point.
"Good evening. What happened yesterday was the most dispicable act of human emotion seen in this nation for over half a century. The brutality in which occured yesterday was aimed towards the illegal group of homosexuals living in Diminix. Now by law, male homosexuals are to not live in this country. Our charter which was written six hundred years ago says it directly and we will abide by these laws. But crucification was unfortanatley not the correct way to go about things. The religious group known as The Passions was responsible for these acts and anyone who was somehow hurt or offended by it, we promise that they will be found and tried in the correct way for what they have done. Thank you."
Then he left and walked backstage.
[Anyone interested in staying through this TG me or post here so I know. I'm trying to plan it half of it now so we can finish the unplanned middle and endings. I'd prefer somewhere from March 03 - August 03 nations. Thanks]

OOC: I'll be interesting to keep up with this.
IC:
Alexander I, Grand Tsar of Valeria, had an interesting development arriving at his office. The emperor, aged and afflicted with cancer, read the espionage report that a strange occurence had happened in Diminix. "So, some homosexuals were killed! So what? I wonder what the international community thinks is so grand about them. Maybe they are all gay!" The Emperor of Valeria had conducted raids and purges to eliminate all homosexuals found about in Valeria, and the country was clean of them; homosexuality was considered a perversion of genetics, and it was illegal on the punishment of immediate death. Except for 1,000 final homosexuals found in an enclave. Alexander remembered that last purge. All of the men were dressed in dresses to display their effeminate nature. Their orifices were occupied with barbed wire or spears. They are all executed by the Imperial Firing Squadron. It was the same squadron that eliminated 10,000 rebellious noblemen years ago.
The wheelchair-restricted emperor decided to make a statement on Diminix in a public speech the day after Diminix had proclaimed their own stance on the event.
Valerius Prime, Valeria, Magnus Valerius - The Balcony Of The Imperial Estate
"Countrymen, mark my words!" the tsar said, wheezing between his lines. "Let us make this clear that any insolent and military action against Diminix, on any blame of the violation homosexual rights, will find a wall of Valerian support rallying against them. The government of Diminix is not responsible for the death of those men, and I shall resent any nation who would intervene in what is their own situation. Leave them be to sort the issue out."
The 64-year-old emperor was on the verge of death. It had been 2 years since he had taken more actions, like interfering in the Knootian elections. Right now, he had to plan an annexation of New-Transylvania. Maybe, just maybe, he will take further action in Diminix, but he had a lot to accomplish before he dies. He might have less than a year to live.

It is the opinion of the Greater Prussian Imperial Government, of which you are a part, Kaiser, that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God. It is a horrible perversion and should be outlawed. However, while the penalty the Bible gives for homosexuality is death, one should not torture them as well. This is unChristian. It is in the best interests of your nation and the Greater Prussian Empire that you put a stop to the torture and simply find these deviants and have them executed along with the members of the Passions who have obviously violated the Christian code of ethics.
It is wrong for man to kill, except where God commands it done. In those situations where he does, it is up to the state to carry out those executions in order to preserve tranquility and stability. It is now your bounden duty to carry out the commandments of God.
His Emminance,
Count Dietrich von Oberhausen
Foreign Ambassador for his Highness's Imperial Government.
Dear Count Dietrich von Oberhausen:
Our people are working around the clock to do so. These religious groups sometimes hold very important jobs in places that could cover their identity and the identity of their "revolutionary" brothers and sisters across the country. It is extremely hard to locate someone when they do have the power to erase all knowledge of themselves from our records.

The government of Blargistania is shocked and outraged at the actions of this so called group "the Passions". It has been known for some time that the government of Blargistania not only accepts homosexuals, but officially recognizes and preforms their marriages. The brutality shown by these religious groups has moved our citizens to great anger. However, we believe in more rational responses to such atrocity We would request the government begin an extensive crackdown on the religious group "the passions". Freezing of funds as well as arrests would prove to us that the government of Diminix is making the effort to stop these terrorists from continuing their atrocities. Should these actions take place, Blargistania will offer full backing and support in any way we can. However, should these events fail to transpire, Blargistania will be forced to oppose Diminix, leading to possible consequences should they step too far out of the bounds of responsability.
Official Imitoran Gov't Repsonse:
Well, its about time someone stepped up to the plate and took homosexuals out back and gave them what they deserved. Bravo Diminix, and give our best to the members of the Passions. We will gladly fight those who wish to impose their ultra liberal pro gay ideals on you.

To those who practice intolerance towards the culture of others: you make us very sad. We, the people of Blargistania, cannot see why you would be so scorning of those who are born in a way they cannot change. Your intolerance merely spreads other intolerance, leading to hate, and the cycle of war. We have found that only acceptance and tolerance can lead to the betterment of society. As stated before, should these actions continue, we will stand ready to oppose them.

Thank you for your support. Unfortanatley there are many pro homosexual hippies out there. While there is not much we can do about all of them, the select few who wish to oppose us both politically and militarilly will fail in the end. Of course as has said before the ones who want peace the most are the first to pull the trigger and IF it comes to military invertention anywhere - we will support you as you have supported us.

The stupidity in which your nation emmits is of most disturbing. Your department of international affairs has said that if the actions continued your nation entirely will be ready to oppose us. Surely, I do not see what could be done. The religion of Diminix calls for no homosexuality as does the Charter of Diminix. It is not our fault that the patriots of this great country wish to do deeds in which we seemed to have missed. Therefore, no arrests have been made and there will be none.

You would make the pretext of prattling on about the stupidity of my nation, a stupidity that I see none of. In what way is it stupid to stand for human rights? In what way is it stupid to oppose wanton violence whereever it occurs? In what way is it stupid to demand justice be met? It is your nation that sickens us, reveling in your barbaric practices. You claim the ban of homosexuality to be found in your nation's Charter. To secure human rights, it is a simple matter to remove the ban from the charter. As for religion. It is a silly thing anyway, meant only for the poor masses to grasp at in their hopeless lives. We do not pretend to direct war against you. We demand that you bring those responsible for these gross atrocites to justice. Their actions were the most foul of human nature, something that has not been seen in hundreds of years, for good reason. Should these murders and thugs not be brought to justice, we will make full the threat of war until justice is served against the group of the passions.

Although we must take all military threats as seriously as possible and will not rule out the possibility of your pathetic political parties to try something which would endanger your whole nation."

IC: The People's Government issued this statement at 0913 MT today:
"We, the People of Mentholyptus, do hereby announce and make official our condemnation of the actions of the Passions. We also condemn the support of the Dimixian government in these crimes against humanity. We will stand firm with our good friends in BLARGistania against further intolerant persecution. This is a warning to you, leaders of Diminix: should you do nothing to halt this persecution and more are harmed because of your inaction, we will intervene in the cause of saving lives. We will not attack you, any quarrel in this case would be between the People of Mentholyptus and the Passions. However, should you support or actively cooperate in this persecution, you too shall be stopped in your actions, by any means necessary.
(This proclamation was first approved by 78% of those voting in the Mentholyptan population, we don't do anything without the people's consent)
The current controllers of the Grove were more worried then excited over the new threats coming in against Diminix. The Kaiser and generals were away in Diminix and the deputy commanders were sure as hell not as qualified/experienced as the real ones. An emergency broadcast was sent to Jedi Revolutionists to call Kaiser Ses'uh, General Jackson, Banks, Yayo and Buck through to Diminix via satelite.
The satelite feed came in at 9:48 a.m, just when all head Grove members had arrived in their offices. They sat in the soundproof room around the long table. It was quiet the whole ten minutes while they awaited for the feed to come in. Finally, the five most important men appeared on the large screen in the front of the room.
"Gentlemen, isn't is strange that as soon as we leave the nation and travel hundreds of miles away the threat of war begins to linger in our airs once again?" Asked the Kaiser
One of the deputy commanders in the Grove looked at him with a confused face on and smiled nervously.
"My lord, Their threats are nothing. Both have openly admitted that neither were entirely committed to war with Diminix --" said a Deputy before he was interupted
"But their sticking to it. Yes, they may not be commited, but if they have to, they will do what is supposdly right for themselves. The orders for full mobilization of the Dominican Navy and Air Force is underway. The Greater Prussian Lufftwaffe sits idle in the airbases across the region but the order for their mobilization is coming in soon as well." Said the Kaiser
----
The docks and ports in which most of the Dominican fleets were at was vry busy. Seaman ran about to get their battle stations which have been idol for so long. In less then three hours, two of the four main battle fleets had set sail and were heading out over a thousand miles off the coast. The two Carrier Battle fleets were to position themselves directly infront of the coast and were beginning to set up a barrier. It was to take longer though.
---
Airbases across Diminix was also bustling with activity. The mobilization calls had never even been heard by most of the 17 - 21 year old pilots and soldiers in the Dominican Air Force. So naturally when it happened, shock filled the air. Most hadn't even knew the entire situation, all they knew was that Diminix was threatened- and if they wished to protect it, they would have to get their asses moving. Fighters and Bombers were being checked out, making sure everything was working properly while most Choppers were getting dragged outta hangars, spanking new.
--
The Kaiser himself ordered for a satelite feed from him to the rest of the world concerning the situation.
"Fellow Dominicans, fellow Greater Prussians, fellow people of the world. I come to you tonight to let you know the audacity of such nations as BLARGistania and Mentholyptus. The envy in which their government shows us of is most flattering. The shock in which came across to the entire world when our most religious people took the law into their own hand and punished those who do not belong here ----- left them in quite a state. Right now the governments of BLARGistania and Mentholyptus dare to threaten us, the Dominican people, to war...
...war. War is an evil thing. Throughout time we have always been on the receiving end of war and we have always come through victorious. They say those who do not know history will repeat it. And it seems that the quote is true. Our enemies must not be to fond with the history books. Or they would know the Dominican nature of war. The aggression which our people can emmit at any time towards our enemies. If you do not remember some of the aggression which can be unleashed, how about a reminder.." said the Kaiser, with a three second intermission showing the picture of the twenty one crucificed homosexuals. Their bodies hung bloody and their flesh almost burnt right off as they hung on the crosses. Their heads drooping down.
"Have we all forgotten that already?" He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "My fellow people, it is time we rose back to the plate. Too long have the horns of war been silent. For too long have our guns been rested. I call upon the Dominican armies to raise from the state of isolation they have resided in and break the ice once more. I call upon the angels of the sky and the monters of the sea to wreak havoc upon the poor soul who wish to challenge us. Good night -- and god bless."
The screen faded.

In a deeply nestled chamber of the presidential residence, Hamion met with his top advisors. The recent moves out of Diminix had not been very startling, to tell the truth, but they had disturbed the upper levels of the government. The men and women sat around a long table, considering the actions to be taken. Finally, a woman, assistant secretary of human relations, spoke up.
"I think our course is clear. Diminix will not bring this group, The Passions to justice, they will not alter the charter, they will not cooperate. We must make one last stab at peace, but if that fails, we will have choice but to revert to war."
"I think we need war now! It is unavoidable!" The cleary incencsed General Attrius exlaimed.
"Calm down" Hamion spoke softly, but his presence was enough to put the force nehind his words. "You know that both Blargistania and Mentholyptus do not enjoy the idea of war, we view it as a last resort rather than a first shot."
"Fine, but we should at least rebuild the military a bit, it could use the beefing up"
"Our military is fine, it is large, well-tranined, and well-equipped. In comparison, their military is mostly green, many have never heard the alarm bells. But even so, they will outnumber us so we want to avoid conflict because it could turn into a war of attrition. Aside from all this, I want to avoid total war, what if we adopted a plan of trageted killings against passions members, until they have one dead for each homosexual they killed. It will be messy, dangerous, has high risk factors, and is not the justice we are looking for . . . wait a minute, the new GH-22s, they could take down the leaders without killing them, we could bring them to trial in a world court. What do we think about that?"
"Its possible, lets give it a release."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blargistanian News Network 2000 hours
People of Blargistanis, the bells of war have been tolled, but not yet answered. As of today, we issue the following decree: Should another homosexual be injured in DIminix, war will, in no doubt follow. We would request, no, demand, that any remaining homosexuals be turned over to Blargistania for their safety and prosperity. Should you choose not to comply, you will be faced with the awful drums of war"
Hamion fell silent for a moment, then:
"People, we cannot tolerate this violence any longer, mindless death does not heal or save, it only brings more death. If this group, the passions, thinks that the death of homosexuals will save them, they are sorley mistaken. The death of further homosexuals will bring them death in many forms. Today, we give a grave warning to Diminix, do not continue this path you have tread up to now, it will only lead you to destruction."
Hamion stepped away from the mic, turning and leaving the stage amidst the roars of approval from the gathered crowds.
The following day, the people's senate approved the president's actions by a margin of 487 to 13 dissenting.
Hamions speech did not intimidate the Dominican people. It only had angered them and fueled them with more hatred towards all homosexuals. Of course it seemed there were alot more illegal gays living in the nation and people knew. It turned into a long drawn out battle scene in the streets. Men of all sorts dragged the homosexuals out of their apartments and beat them in the streets. Big time riots broke out during the middle of the night and ended fourteen hours later.
Death toll was atleast one hundred and twelve and all came to a horrible end. Unlike the event which started this problem, there was no crucification but there was burning. Some homosexuals were lit on fire, some were lynched from tree branches, some were stoned. But most were just beaten brutally until they took their last breath in the streets of Diminix.
The Dominican Police Force got the bodies picked up in a few hours and disposed of them within the day. Most were just thrown into large dug pits and have had tons of dirt dumped back ontop of them. Not worthy for a properly burial ceremony nor for a proper grave. There was no one that was really outraged by the attacks and the King was to make his responce to the Blarg's tonight.

"The Blarg government has threatened us to a violent dispute if the violence towards homosexuals in Diminix did not halt immediatley. Well, the events of last night and this morning have showed our stance on it. President Hamion demands that any remaining homosexuals in Diminix be deported to Blargistania, but that is out of the question. The death toll from last night is more than one hundred and twelve and any remaining gay guy in Diminix will be dealt with the fullest extent of our law. President Hamion, I am the one who makes the demands, the threats and the promises here. So here is what I say to you, directly. The blood of a Blarg soldier being spilt on anyones soldier is honorable to any of our men in the armed forces. The readyness of our soldiers is at an all time high, for we are ready to slaughter the hippy. While it does sound corny, it's true. Our troops will gleefully march through your capital city and when we do, it will be then we hang your body from your capital building. If you wish to make war with Diminix, you wish to make death for you and your people. I hope you know what you're doing. Good night"

Hamion looked sadly at the televised response from Dominix, it was unavoidable now, he knew. There was no more negotiation, no more talks, no more chances at peace. He had tried and tried again, but Diminix had refused. Not it was time to impliment the shadow protocol.
Hamion picked up the red phone hanging by his desk, all he had to was pick it up.
"Yes sir"
"Intiate Shadow"
"Confirmation?"
"2305 zz7 htb4"
"Done sir, Shadow starting up, initation begins tonight"

The First Citizen of Mentholyptus glanced down again at the two reports on his desk. He had read them several times, but they remained unbelievable. First was the public report from the major newsnets about what they were calling the "Diminix Debacle." The Citizen thought to himself: "One hundred-twelve. Damn. Damn. Damn. Damn it all. Why must such ruthless ignorance and bigotry reign in such a promising nation as Diminix?" Raising his eyes to the portrait of Voltaire, his thoughts became a plea: "What would you do? What can I do to stop this?" thought the beleaguered chief of state. Sighing, the Citizen glanced at the other report. This one was on a disposable disk marked in three places with red "Most Secret" labeling. This was the report from the BLARGistanian government. Allowing the intelligent reader in his computer to scan his retina, the Citizen opened the report. Reading it, a grim smile broke upon his tired visage. "They did it. I knew they would, but so soon? I suppose it had to be done, considering the circumstances."
The First Citizen stared across the desk at his own red phone, connecting him to the head of SpecOps for the Home Defense Force. Looking one last time at the screen, which was now displaying a "Deleting-Project Shadow Status" dialog box, he picked up the phone.
"General Kerensky speaking."
"General, I need Project Nemesis ops."
There was a pause on the other end, the General shakily re-stated
"Nemesis?"
"Correct."
"Roger that. Nemesis active pending authorization."
"Authorization Delta Delta Tau, Mu Niner Five, Theta Omega Phi, Beta Gamma Eight."
"Acknowledged: authorization (the General repeated the code). Nemesis is active, target selection in progress. I must remind you, you will have only two hours from this time to abort Nemesis should you so desire."
"I know, General Kerensky, I know."
"Acknowledged. Receiving target list from you now."
"Thank you General. Good luck."
"Thank you, Citizen. Kerensky out."
The First Citizen sat back in his chair. He knew what he had just set underway. Closing his eyes, he opened them again to gaze at Voltaire. "I hope I'm right, Francois. For all our sake's."
OOC: I know, the First Citizen has no last name. That's intentional, the First Citizen gives up his or her name upon being elected as a symbol of his or her devotion to the People and not him/herself.

Deep beneath the bowles of the Atnor III air base, a silent alarm started to beep. Only one person knew what it meant, only one person knew what to do, only one person recieved that alarm. The nameless, rankless man pulled on some gear. Gear that looked vaugly like a god of yore. The man turned and walked out of his room towards a hangar, talking to no one, taking in the stares of wonder as he passed. Normal troops had never seen this, they had no idea what or who the man was, but the mere fact that he was in the instalation proved he was on their side. Raching his craft, man hopped into the pilot modual, turned on the mike and spoke two words: "Activation code"
The voice of Hamion came back,
"2305 zz7 htb4"
"Secondary Code?"
"Plural Z alpha, 99 z sigma, double zz alpha sector Z"
"Luanch Confirmation"
"Delta Nu Omega Alpha Gamma Nu Tao Zapha"
"Confirmed, luanch commencing"
The luanch began, the ship lifted off, its repulsers humming. A small door opened, and the ship shot out, traveling straight towards Diminix. The course to war was well laid out, but no one fully knew its consequences yet.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: A little background
The project shadow craft is a highly advanced aircraft, the only of its make. It runs off 6 repusler jet engines, able to achive a maximun thrust of 2200 miles per hour. It flies essentially silent, and utilizes the most advanced stealth technology, making it virtually undetectable. It has one defensive "artillery cannon" which fires a long duration energy blast. This blast can only be accomplished once every twenty minutes though, so it must be used with caution. The blast also sets off every energy sensor within 50 miles, showing the target of the craft. Its other armaments are a twin-mini gun, computer run system that automaticlly targets advancing enemy craft. A final armament is a seeker pod, which is realeased from a pod luancher. This pod unfolds (looks almost like a squid from the Matrix) and uses a one-way hover jet to seek its enemy. It can attack with a single .50 caliber shot , a posion needle, or a 6-inch needle. The craft is piloted, but can also fly by advanced AI, guiding the ship through the worst terrain. I don't have a pic cause I can't use CG tech well enough and I haven't found one good enough to steal. If I find one, I'll post it.

Lieutenant MacKenzie sprinted through the corridors of the barracks at Fort Vulcan, on the border of Mentholyptus. He had just received a dispatch from Commander Ulyanov, the leader of their SpecOps squad, telling him to meet in the briefing room immediately. MacKenzie arrived at the door of Briefing Room Alpha, and stepped inside. Most of the squad was already there, sitting at the desks. The rest followed in shortly. Ulyanov was in the front of the room, in front of the large Tri-D display. "Good morning, gentlemen," came Ulyanov's voice from the front.
"I'm not going to waste your time here, we need to get going immediately. I just received a set of orders from General Kerensky." (at this point, there was a collective intake of breath throughout the room: no one was really sure what Kerensky had been doing for the past 2 years, but everyone knew it was very cutting-edge and extremely classified) "Kerensky told me that..." The Commander paused for a minute. "Kerensky told me that Nemesis is active. Effective immediately. Your orders are being sent to your padds, please take them out."
At this point, the 128 soldiers assembled swiftly removed their datapads. Text appeared on the screen, at the top of the document were the words "Nemesis Target List, Diminix Operation" As the soldiers read through the list, their faces grew a bit white, especially when they saw who was "Target Priority Crimson, Pacify Upon Encountering."
Kerensky gave them a minute to collect themselves, and then spoke again. "I'm sorry to tell you all on such short notice, but we are almost out of time: Shadow has already left Atnor III" (This prompted a few gasps) "And we are slated to depart at 0215, Fististani Standard Time, tomorrow morning." Some looked at their watches, it was now 9 PM FST. They had a little over 5 hours to prepare.
A hand went up in the back of the room. "Equipment for the op?"
Kerensky responded: "Standard arms for most of you, deep-night camo, of course. Demo squads will be equipped with C4, thermite charges, and plastiques as well as sidearms and rifles. Support and general ops will have M16 Mk. 4 rifles, 0.45 sidearms, and frag and flash grenades." As some settled in their chairs, Kerensky continued; "Sniper ops will be armed...with 24 Xerrol NightStingers." That prompted a few sharp breaths from the sniper team, they knew full well the capabilities of the NightStinger.
Kerensky finished up "All right, that's all for now. I want you all to report to the Armory at 2345, we'll continue from there."
The SpecOps squad filed quickly out of the room, uncertain as to what the next days would bring, knowing only that it would not be boring...
__________________________________________________________
OOC: for anyone who doesn't know, the Xerrol NightStinger was a rifle used in a few Star Wars novels, nothing too extraordinary. It's basically a laser rifle with a silencer and a sort of flash surpresser: you can neither see nor hear the beam.
I'll be back on either late tonight or late afternoon tomorrow (Mountain Standard Time, USA).
There was no time to waste. The Dominican Navy had been on high alert for the past few days and were defending the entire coastline of Diminix. The Blargs had struck the first blow, but it wasn't the Navy who learned of it first. The Greater Prussian SDI had picked up the heat signatures from an unknown target coming near Diminix from the north and fast. The order went out from SDI Headquarters to the HQ of National Air Defenses.
Across the mountainsides and wooded forests of Diminix, twenty three mobile V4 missle launchers slowly came to life. The missle attached to the back of the launcher slowly rose, aiming at the sky. The missle experts, some on the phone, some hurrily typing a ton of stuff into a computer were all planning for the first Dominican strike of the war. In less then five minutes, twenty three of the v4 rockets blasted off into the sky, leaving a trail of white smoke behind them. The rockets soared through the light sky, seeking its target which was being fed to them by G.P.S.D.I.
But on the other side of Diminix, in the capital things were less tense and more organized. The Dominican Army was about to launch it's first offensive of the war. Again from many secluded places across the country, hidden missle Silo's were slowly sliding their doors open, revealing huge twenty foot tall intercontinental ballistic missles. Fourty convential ICBMS were up into the sky at 6:40 p.m headed towards Blargistania and Mentholyptus. Their targets were put into them long ago. It was mostly targeting their capital cities, their largest naval ports, their largest airbases and largest power plants.

Pilot smiled as the missles appraoched. These forces were unexperienced, and had cleary never seen a shadow operate before. Pilot dropped out the drone charge, a small bomb essentially that broke into 30 small engines, distracting missiles. Pilot switched on his cloak systems, and burned ahead. The radar system detected 20 small explosions. . .then. . .nothing. Pilot smiled again and soared on, buring distance over Diminix. Night was falling fast, pilot knew his time was approaching.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Within Command III, alarms began to blair wildly. Lt. Riker looked down at his screen in suprise, energy signals were lighting up all over the place.
"Sir, Sir! Massive energy signals, we've got Diminix launching ICBMs!"
"Dear god, get the chatter cannons online, I want our stinger batteries up and running as well. Notify crews around the country, get our defensive lines up!"
"Yes sir, messages going out now."
"Send a message out to Mentholyptus as well, get them ready, this is war."
"Transmitting now."
The message went out across Fististan, rigning through the military bunkers. Missile crews ran out and prepped their defensive luanchers, chatter boys suited up, loaded into the cannons, and brought themselves online. All across Blargistania, defensive preperations were moving. The country was preparing for war.
OOC: Diminix, I don't know if the v4s were for the shadow, but, remeber that the shadow is virtually impossible to see, it would leave no trace. Plus, I need him for later so he needs to stay alive. . . for now. I played along with the missles. And are the ICBMs nukes or conventional warheads?

General Bronstein was asleep in his quarters. It was well past midnight, and he had been up til very recently working on deployment strategies and mobilization plans.
An commander from Intel burst into the room, nearly tripping on his way in the door. "General Bronstein!" he yelled, immediately rousing the slumbering leader. Bronstein awoke, and was just about ready to throw something at the commander when he heard the alarm klaxons sounding in the background. "What the hell is going on, Commander?" inquired Bronstein.
"We're still uncertain, but we picked up the trails of several ICBMs just exiting Diminixian airspace!"
"What? When did this happen?"
"Near as we can tell, launch was about 5 minutes ago. Outside of Intel and Recon people, you're the first to know."
"All right. I need you to send a message to Defensive Ops. Tell them to deploy all Patriot Mk II batteries, get men in the missile turrets, and scramble a squad of interceptors. And I need you to do it RIGHT NOW!!"
"Yes sir!" (With this, the commander departed.)
Bronstein turned to his video terminal. He turned it on and dialed for the State building. An aide appeared on the screen, and visibly tensed at the appearance of the General. "May I help you, sir?" he asked.
"Yes. Get me the First Citizen. Now."
"One moment." The aide disappeared, and within a couple of seconds the face of the First Citized filled the screen.
"Yes, General, what is it?"
"I come bearing bad news, I'm afraid. Diminix has just launched a massive ICBM attack, targeting major centers of industry, military, and government. I recommend we evacuate yourself and the Senate as quickly as possible."
"Damn. Damn it all. All right, we're leaving now for Auxiliary Command. I'll contact you shortly. In the meantime, throw everything you've got at those missiles. I want them down and I want them down fast."
"Acknowledged. Bronstein out."
The screen faded, and the now-alert General immediately tore out of his quarters, sprinting off towards the Command Center on-base.
When Bronstein arrived at Command, the room was already buzzing with activity. Various men and women in uniform ran about, checking screens and delivering papers. Bronstein talked briefly with several of the other command staff, and soon took a seat in front of a computer terminal. When he turned it on, he saw a message forwarded from the First Citizen's office, a dispatch from BLARGistani President Hamion concerning the missile strike. BLARGistania had also been targeted, and was getting defenses online as fast as they could. Bronstein looked up at the large Tri-D that filled the front of the Command Center. It currently displayed the missile paths, streaking across the globe towards the most important cities in Mentholyptus and BLARGistania. The General also saw several blue dots marking the current position of the recently deployed Nemesis team, as well as a moving green blip representing Shadow.

The missiles, Bronstein noticed, were a scant 35 minutes from impact on their targets. Suddenly, a swarm of blue blips (the interceptor squadron) took to the skies, moving rapidly towards the missiles. At the same time, faint green cones represented the firing fields of the Patriot batteries.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The leader of the interceptor squadron, a Captain Briand, took a furtive glance at his radar, which was currently charting the position of his squad relative to the ICBMs. The gap between the two was closing rapidly. He radioed to the rest of the team "Be alert. We've got about forty bogeys coming in hot. Contact in two minutes."
Many miles away, the Diminixian ICBMs streaked across the blue sky, a cloud of malevolent metal. Suddenly, a red glow spread across one of the missiles. The glow turned orange, then briefly yellow...and the fuel compartment of the ICBM blew. It had been struck by long-range laser cannons based in Fististani territory (in the Collective Zone, a piece of land attached to no nation in particular). Before the guidance systems in the other missiles could adjust, three more were taken down by the blinding beams from below.
Captain Briand noticed four bogeys disappear on his radar. He allowed a cautious smile to spread across his face, knowing that the laser batteries in the CZ had done their job. His smile quickly disappeared when he looked at his radar to see that contact was in a little under 15 seconds. Briand gripped his controls tightly, and gazed into the sky to catch a glimpse of the missiles. As the first one came into view, he yelled over the radio: "Contact! I have visual at 11 o'clock!" Others assented, and the squad broke formation to engage the rapidly-moving rockets. Briand saw the first missile grow larger, and the group behind it came into view. He shivered.
The forwardmost interceptor of the squad came into firing range on the missiles. Its pilot immediately let loose with a volley of rocket pods, while activating his own nose-mounted laser cannon. The rockets streaked out ahead, closing on the ICBMs. Most flew right past the missiles, unable to cope with their tremendous velocity. Three rockets found their targets, and brilliant fireballs lit up the sky. Others in the interceptor squad also opened fire, and the laser/missile barrage took down 13 additional missiles, all told. Then, the remainder of the ICBMs flew past the interceptors, and their window of opportunity closed. Captain Briand wasted no time radioing back to base "Be advised, Command, you've got 20 bogeys coming in fast!" Command responded with a string of expletives, then the words "Acknowledged. Thanks for cutting them down for us." Briand looped around and started back to base, knowing that the missiles would arrive before him, and wondering what he would return to.
OOC: I'm going to hold there until I get a payload report, I want to do the next one in Mentholyptus on the ground when the missiles come in range of SAMs and others, and will also get to their targets.

OOC: Alright, let's get going, hehe.
Ah, and Valeria is a WWI - Post WWI tech nation. Haven't gone around modernising yet, but I will soon enough.
IC:
It was a solemn day in Valeria. Dark clouds hung above Valerius Prime, with light rain pouring intermittently. It was just one day since Alexander I, the most recent emperor of Valeria, had died. His limp body was stored in a mortuary as it was being dressed and embalmed for burial, scheduled for next week. However, in the office where the old emperor once resided in was a new face - his son. Alexander II was not even coroneted yet, but he has taken the throne de facto. Now, the empire was his to command, with its teeming billions.
News were grim from one front that Alexander's father had maintained, though. It seems that the Dominions of Diminix was entering a conflict with two nations, one of the Blargs, and the other of the Mentholyptians. The heir looked over the intelligence reports he had just received from the VECOD, or Valerian Espionage and Covert Operations Department.
"Diminix... is mobilizing," he said solemnly. The vibrant 31-year-old, still unmarried (yet engaged) pawed at his moustache with a gloved hand. He was in fanciful attire: white gloves, dark blue uniform, a feathered pickelhaube, black polished boots... even as a more liberal emperor that he will be, he still wanted to retain the imperialistic heritage of the nation.
"Sire, surely you don't want to go to war! It'll be foolish. Why, you aren't even crowned yet!"
The reply came from a bookish, wizened man who was Archduke until a son was born to Alexander II. He was named Brian Olvertus. In a red robe, with a white goatee, with nose-conforming spectacles, and with book, Imperial Coronation Ceremony, under his arm, the scholar approached the emperor with caution.
"I know that war would possibly harm us. However, I would feel worthless if I didn't fulfill what my father had wished. He wished for us to defend Diminix if anyone were to mobilize against her. Besides, wouldn't a war give me experience as a supreme commander?"
"Why yes, but will the Coronation be delayed?"
"Perhaps. I don't need to be crowned immediately. Make sure General Karagiannis, Marshal Venizelli, and Grand Admiral Kitchener are notified of our plans to mobilize."
"Yes, sire."
---
The balcony that extended over Main Street Square in Valerius Prime was prepared for the speech that Alexander was to deliver. Crowds of soldiers and citizens curious to wonder what was going on crowded the large parade ground. The Fountain of St. Valerian in the center of the square had a large Valerian flag flying over it. The pandemonium was broken as Alexander II walked out on the balcony, to the onlooking faces of thousands, and the ears of many millions more in houses elsewhere via radio.
"Proud Valerians, Mighty Uhlans, Brave Infantrymen... I have urgent news from Diminix. It seems that the nation will be mobilizing to counter a threat portrayed within BLARGistania and Mentholyptus. My father, God Bless Him, wished that if Diminix were to be attacked, we shall respond. That is what I plan to do. I am issuing the mobilization call for all men in the armed forces to prepare to defend Diminix and ourselves. Let us fight not for the glory, but for the peace of the world. I bid you all good day."
The crowd looked upon the emperor with smiles. The majority of people in Valeria were jingoistic, and the emperor's words were like the words of God. Soon, men throughout the empire and its colonies were to be summoned. With rifle in arms, sabre in belt, they will be marching to war.
---
In the large port city of Trentino in the Valerian heartland, the issue of mobilization was received by the mostly green naval officers. It was not really a shock, for they would know that war would come sooner or later. The gigantic, fearsome dreadnoughts that lied in the harbor blew whistles to call the men on deck. The Valerian Navy was large, as Valeria did not rely on the Air Force as much as its ground forces or navy. After all, air does not win wars - the men on the ground do. By the hour's end, 20 dreadnoughts were manned and ready.

Okay, first to answer the sadhow question: It emits no heat source because it does not have conventional engines. It uses repulsers to generate movement as well as altitude. So, picking up a heat source would not have been possible, the only way to detect it is with a nenergy scan which does two things. Number one: it finds the shadow, but it only picks up the energy readings equivalent to that of about 20 standard 60 watt lightbulbs. Second, the entire scan would light up because of nearby energy sources. That is why the shadow is so hard to find. \
Now, the army.

A long range stealth fighter meant for black operations missions. This fighter is 43.5 feet long with a crew of one. The pilot is known simply as pilot, has no rank, and is not officially recognized by the government or military. The ship itself runs on repuslers, emitting only sheilded electrical output. It leaves no heat signal, no trail, only charged ions, and even those are at a minimum. The armaments of the ship are a long-duration energy "artillery" cannon. This fires a 20-second burst at a maximum rate of once every 20 mins. The other armaments are twin mini-cannons, which are computer guided to seek potentional threats. Its last weapon is a seeker drone, a small squid-like mechanized weapon. It runs of a single trip repusler engine, and has a 6 inch "needle" blade, a posion syringe, and a single .50 caliber bullet with which to carry out its mission. Once completed, the drone self-destructs. As for defence, the shadow is equipped with a drone charge which breaks into 30 small single-fire engines. It also has chaff and flares. It most powerful defensive tool is a cloak feature which renders the shadow all but impossible to detect.

The ICBMs streaked over Blargistanian space, 10 or so, coming in fast. As the missiles began to come into range, the Stinger batteries opened up, sending interceptor missiles into the sky. 3 of the incoming ICBMs exploded, showering metal scraps on the ground far below. As the missiles went past the stinger batteries, the chatter cannons opened up, their gunners trying to bring down the remaining missiles. The rapid shell fire shredded two more of the ICBMs, one of which disentigrated into a thirs, causing that one to detsabilize and explode. The other four missiles streaked past the defensive systems, moving too fast for the gunners to recalculate, as they reached the horizen, several bright flashes were seen erupting on the distant soil.
Damage reports began to flow in to central command, buried deep beneath the ground in the middle of nowhere.
"Sir, we have reports of base command-III being hit, sir, initial estimates show 37% personnel losses and 67% surface craft loses. All underground structures are intact but badly damaged. Fire crews reporting in, already working on fires"
"Sir, Leningrad is hit, estimates 50% of city destroyed or damaged beyond repair, estimate 3,500 dead, 7,500 wounded. Crews responding."
"Base Requim is out sir, 10% personnel casualities, 37% craft losses. crews on their way."
"Site Zeta-4 hit sir, two plants down, power cut off to Furzay and Gidren, hazmat crews and fire crews responding."
General Rosenthall listened to the reports intensly, mentally calculating losses and ways to make up for them. He became focused on the singualr goal of recovering and striking before the enemy had a chance to celebrate. He wanted this small victory to be brief and costly for Diminix, and he already had ideas.
"Keep crews on those sites, I want the fires out and rubble out within a week. Use it to build barriers if need be, we will keep invaders from occupying any of this state. Colsten!"
"Yes sir!"
"Get task force 34 up and running, use the incendiaries. I don't care what the target is, just burn it down."
"Done sir, 34 is on red and running hot."
Out at Command-II, 50 of the brand-new R/A 328 Heavy Bombers were warming up for takeoff, their had been loaded to the brim with incendiarie bomblets, intent on burning down the Dominion cities. Assigned to go with them was an escort of 100 combination F/A 118s and MiG 34s. This was to show the Dominion people what Blargistania was capable of when angered.
[I'll get back to you about that bomber on AIM]
The reports were coming in slowly of the damages the missles had done to Blargistania. The generals smiled as they saw the number of dead in the cities. But time to celebrate was short lived. New reports of a small bomber offensive was coming in. An emergency alert was set into effect and within thirty minutes the Dominican Air Defenses were ready.
The Greater Prussian Lufftwaffe scrambled six of it's F22 Raptor squadrons which sent over eighty F22's into the skies. The Dominican Air Force itself had gotten three F-78 Eclipse Air Wings into the air, with a total of fourty eight F-78's. The Dominican Navy was also taking it's measures to prepare for the premature air offensive by putting most of it's carrier air wings on high alert which meant that one small call could send an easy fifty F16's into the skies.
The fighters in which were already in the air began to head out to counter the attack. But the Dominican Government wasn't planning on leaving the Blarged homeland alone. Deep in the darkest reaches of the Dominican ocean, seven of the Armored Falcon subs belonging to the Dominican navy opened their MIRV hatches. In less then three minutes, thirteen MIRVS blasted into the sky aiming for Blargs major cities and towns.

OOC: Well, I'll post an IC action in a bit. Right now, I'm going to start laying out my numbers.
Standing Army - 2.4% of population
1,467,000,000*.024 = 35,208,000 men in total manpower (divided among IAF, IA, and VIN)
Imperial Army
8 Million Infantry
2.7 Million Artillerists
1.3 Million Cavalrymen
250,000 Imperial Guards (AA personnel around cities)
750,000 Marines
12 million Reservists
Since I'm posting from school, I'll have to post the numbers for the navy and air force later.

OOC: Sorry for being so late finishing up the ICBM bit, I wasn't awake when those last few came in and I just got home now...
IC:
Ten high-explosive ICBM missiles streaked past the final bit of land separating Mentholyptus from Diminix, entering Mentholyptan airspace. General Bronstein, still in the Command Center, tracked their progress on the Tri-D with a growing sense of dread. His stomach sank even more when he saw the projected trajectories of the missiles: two were headed directly for Mentholypta, another was aimed in the vicinity of Auxiliary Command, and a missile each was targeted at Fort Vulcan and Alpha Base (where Bronstein was stationed). The other 5 missiles were aimed at various large cities around Mentholyptus, mostly centers of industry but a couple were headed for regional military bases. <Well,> thought the General to himself, <Our first priority is obviously Mentholypta, second being Auxiliary Command, followed by Vulcan and then us...>
A man from the Air Defense Force approached Bronstein with a report: "Sir," he started, "We've deployed Patriot batteries around Mentholypta and Auxiliary, with SAM trucks at the border as a first line of defense..."
Bronstein cut him off: "Stationary defenses-are they up and running?"
"Yes sir, all chatter cannon stations and missile batteries are crewed and on alert, a few have started seeing missiles and firing. We have reports of one missile down near Vulcan, another currently under fire at Auxiliary..." the Air Defense man received a message on his headset: "Make that one down at Auxiliary. The others are currently being tracked, and we have more Patriots rolling out in their trajectories, we'll work on bringing the rest down."
Bronstein responded "Alright. Tell your men they're doing well. Send them my congratulations on two good kills."
"Right, sir." The Defense officer quickly spun on his heel and left.
--------------------------------------------(Somewhere outside Alpha)----------
The Patriot batteries were mounted on specialized flatbed trucks, and were tracking an unseen object across the sky...then, red lights appeared on their sides and missiles swiftly burst from their tubes. A swarm of small rockets climbed quickly into the air, approaching their top speed of Mach 10. These rockets carried no explosive, instead they relied on a 500-lb tungsten core to take down their targets.
A couple of miles from the Patriot batteries, a lone missile began to descend. Targeted for Alpha Base, it was going to hit in about two minutes. Suddenly, a small cloud of glinting objects zoomed up from the ground. They closed quickly with the missile...and two struck its fuselage. Split into pieces, the missile disintegrated and, moments later, exploded just under the clouds.
------------------------------------------(Near Mentholypta)---------------------
The crew of the chatter turret emplacement was anxiously checking the radar scope. Shortly after arriving, they had been placed on high alert by Command Center. Five minutes later, a radar contact had picked up, approaching Mentholypta rapidly. Just now, the contact had come into range. The turret gunner scanned across the sky-and suddenly saw the missile. She knew she only had a couple of seconds before the missile would streak past. She centered it in her target scope, and squeezed the twin triggers. A burst of .50 caliber shells sprayed from the cannons at a rate of several hundred per second. The triggers were released, and somewhere high above, a fireball faded into the blue sky.
*also near Mentholypta*
The ICBM approached rapidly, eating up the miles as if they were inches. Many defensive emplacements had tried in vain to take it down, but all had failed. Now, it seemed certain that the Diminixian missile would destroy the central district of the city.
Somewhere deep underground, an Air Defense commander directed the loading of a strange-looking device. It was a long cannon, but instead of an opening at the top it possessed a device resembling a satellite dish. The top of the cannon just barely protruded from the ground. The missile was going to fly straight overhead: they had one chance to save the city. Several tense seconds later, the missile appeared in the sight. The gunner fired...and a crackling discharge was heard from the cannon. The missile continued on, seemingly unaffected. However, it never began to descend, nor did it make a necessary course correction to hit Mentholypta. The missile's guidance system had been thouroughly jammed by the cannon, and it slowly dropped lower, eventually impacting a nearby mountain. Several hikers were scared witless, but no one was hurt.
OOC: I will shorten this up, its getting a bit long. To summarize: One of the remaining 5 missiles was destroyed, another was spoofed. The other 3 reached their targets: a major industrial center, a high-population city, and a regional airbase. Damage report: In the industrial center- 50,000 killed, 124,000 wounded, 4 large steel foundries destroyed, cutting this month's production by 7%. In the high-population city: 123,000 killed, 87,000 wounded, and 346,000 left homeless. Airbase: 36 F-22Bs destroyed, 1 radar wiped out, 17 strategic bombers lost. Also, 9 troop transports taken out.
The First Citizen will make a speech a bit later, other than that I won't be on much tonight.
The Central Dominican Intelligence Agency's headquarters in Brooklyn was bustling with activity. In a private meeting in the deepest bowels of the huge building, CDIA Director, Brandon Wasicsko stood at the edge of the table reading the damage reports in Mentholyptus. He stopped and looked at his staff.
"Well done boys. We've managed to kill off a few hundred of those bastards in the first few attacks. Alright. Michelle, did you get the reports of the Lyptian Navy yet?" He asked
Michelle Monko, his personal assistant, shuffled through her papers and looked up at him.
"Uhm, no sir we have not gotten them yet." She replied
"Ok well keep trying" He noted
She stood up and walked out of the room to continue trying to get some more information on the Lyptian navy.[OOC: I need to know it lol]

Oh btw Mentho, that turret would in no way be able to stop the ICBM. An ICBM travels at like Mach 22 or somewhere along those lines. lol a manned turret with .50 caliber shells wouldn't even touch it]

*Letter from Viktor Leipzig I, Emperor of all the Greater Prussians, to Marcus Antonius II, King of Reichskamphen and Scotta*
Marcus, I have just recieved an official request from Diminix that we enter into a conflict that they are embroiled in. I believe this could be beneficial to the region and to Reichskamphen as well.
I wish you to keep the Kingdom on its marvelous war footing and give Hell to the enemies of Diminix and the enemies of Greater Prussia.
For these purposes I am releasing a large portion of the Royal Fleet from its duties in the Greater Prussian Imperial Navy so that they may sail poste-haste to Blargistan, or whatever that two bit backwater cretin nation is called.
Prepare the Royal SDI stations, I want them to feel the wrath of God.
His Imperial Highness,
Viktor Leipzig I
*Reply from Marcus Antonius II*
Your Majesty,
Though I see no reason as to why we should, at this time, involve ourselves in a foreign conflict, I will obey your orders and as a precaution, I will also mobilize the Royal Guard and some of the Royal Army, I don't want to be caught with my pants down or deal a blow and not be able to finish them off.
His Royal Highness,
Marcus Antonius II

OOC: response to Diminix...if you aim them properly they will indeed hit the missile. And .50 cal shells will blow large holes in most anything.
IC:
Three hours after the attacks, the First Citizen stood on the podium in Mentholypta's Agora. Below, crowding the streets, were the citizens of Mentholyptus. He took a deep breath, calmed his nerves, and began to speak.
"My fellow citizens. As many of you already know, today was a dark day for Mentholyptus. At approximately 2:53PM FST, a cowardly missile bombardment from the rogue nation of Diminix struck our beloved homeland. Though our brave armed forces were able to stop most of the missiles, three found their targets. The cities of Angora and Runota fell victim to the Diminixian aggressors, as did Fort Logos in the west. The cowards in Diminix have killed almost two hundred thousand innocent Mentholyptans, and left many more wounded or homeless. This is a tragic day in our nation's history, but at the dark heart of the tragedy gleams a flame of hope. From the ashes of our fallen cities shall rise a spirit of patriotism and togetherness the likes of which are rarely seen in the world, and the Mentholyptan people shall endure. Today, we have felt the pain of militarism and intolerance. Tomorrow, Diminix shall feel the heat of our vengeance. We will not take this attack meekly, we shall retaliate, and we shall not fail in our quest to bring the killers who perpetrated this terrible act to justice. I have requested that the People's Senate approve retaliatory military action against Diminix, and they have granted my request. I must now make a request of you, the People. In the days ahead, there will be hardship. Sacrifices will be made. And brave Mentholyptans may fall in the defense of liberty. I ask you to stand behind this great nation, and assist however you can in our quest to defend our liberty. At the same time, I request that you remain logical and reasonable, that you not be caught up in the same nationalistic fervor and hatred that is undoubtedly spreading among the people of Diminix. For in times of war, the people must always keep their eyes on peace. This is what I ask of you, fellow citizens. I ask that you help us quest for peace. Thank you."
The crowd below exploded with applause and cheers. By the time they had dispersed, the sun was already beginning to slip under the horizon.
Later that day, military recruiting offices reported a record number of enlistments: a full 4 million men and women had joined the fight, swelling the size of the armed forces to 27 million. The Mentholyptan people were usually pacifistic, but had now been forced to war. They would fight with the intense strength and courage of a people who know their cause is just and right.

The small force of fighters and long range bombers shot forward across the sky, mere minutes from Dominican soil. They had an unopposed flight so far, but they all knew it had to change, Diminix was not one to lie down and accept bombing runs. The lead fighter, nicknamed eyes, called back on a secure channel.
"Hey, we got a small swarm of bogeys comin in, looks to be about 75 of them"
"Roger that eyes" It was Duke, the commander of the fighter/interceptor squad. Long years of service had proven him to be a combat ace, giving him the knowledge of how to engage the enemy forces and win. "Let the MiGs loose, tell them 5 interceptors a piece, one singularity charge, and then have them turn their tails and prepare to dogfight."
On his que, the 50 MiGs lept forward, buring for all they were worth. The piolts had all had at least 300 hours live practice, and friendly dogfighting was encouraged among pilots. They knew what they were doing. Soon enough, the calls of "Fox 1, away, Fox 2 away, Fox 3. . ." were ringing throughout the comm cast channel.
The bombers, acting on squad orders, veeered away from the impending firefight with a small escort of 10 fighters. One fighter took point and led them away, but still towards Diminix, and fire.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pilot landed shadow amongst some wooded cover and hopped out. He looked around and saw a small game path headed towards what his sensore had last indentified as a house. He trotted along this path, moving quickly, looking for a target. The trial wound its way through the woods for a bit before emptying out into a clearing. The clearing held a small house in it. It was an inconspicious house, a cottage even. Pilot smiled, it looked almost the like the candy house from Hansel and Gretel. Unfortunatly, this house held a person far more dangerous than a senile old which. The man in this house was shadow's target. He did not need to know why, he just knew that this man had to die. As shadow watched, a tall man in a priest-like smock came out. He had on a large wooden cross and was reading out of a text of some sort. Careful examination showed the text to be entitled "The abomination of man, destruction of the homosexual culture" It was the man alright. Pilot smiled and pulled out a remote. He pressed a button and let loose the seeker. . .
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Far away, the First Among Equals, Aleczander J Hamion stepped up to a stage in front of the assembled millions. He carried with him the burdon of war, its triumphs and tragedies. Today, he would address the millions in the square, and the tens of millions over TV and radio. By the end of the day, every ear in Blargistania would hear the President's speech.
My fellow people the President's voice boomed out today marks a grave day in Blargistanian history. Today, we have been assualted. Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles were fired by Diminix, striking several centers of Blargistania. These attacks have not gone unanswered, we have already dispatched a full fighter wing to start the bombing runs against Dominican cities. As we speek, the army is preparing for a full invasion of Diminix, mobilizing to crush this threat so we never have to face it again. But, upon this day, we have been hit at our core. It has caused some setbacks and much death, again I say to you, we will not let this go unanswered, we will not cow in the face of danger. The actions of DIminix are unforgivable, and so, they will pay. Today, my people, I speak to you the leader of a nation fully at war, a nation that cannot afford to try peace any longer, a nation that has been hurt, but, like the great beast that we are, a nation that will strike back with ten times the ferocity of the aggression we were faced with. I tell you my people, that today, we will no longer back down, this has become total war. And, if it is total war the Dominix wants, it is total war they will get. The liberty of our people depends upon it. The safety of remaining homosexuals in Diminixdepends on it. My people, our brothers in Mentolyptus are doing their part to assist us in this endevor, and they too have faced attacks for it. Today, tomorrow, next year, we will stand, united, in the face of tyranny and defeat it. My people, today is your day, today is the day we fight for what we believe in and never allow this to happen again!
As the President stepped off the platform, the roars erupted. The people had been stirred to their very cores, and they were ready to defend this nation to the last man. As the next day dawned, the military centers had reported a jump in recruitment by almost 700%. Clearly, Blargistania was ready for the fight.
The navy easily saw the wing of Blarg fighters and bombers on radar. In less then two minutes they sent up a large volley of two hundred surface to air missles to destroy the incoming bombers. At the same time the Pacific Wall S.A.M Divisions also released thirty of their own S.A.M's. Twelve Dominican F-78 Eclipse in the sky swerved towards the approaching fighters and launched off of the five AA-15 "Phantom"'s A-T-A missles at the MiG's.
[The missles are SA-14 "Viper II's" -- product of Clairmont. So there are about 280 of these missles soaring at your bombers and fighters. Btw what's up with the MIRVS at Blarg?]

MIRVS?
IC:
The lead MiG caught the missile blips approaching fast. He toned into his comm system "All forces hold back, fizzle"
The fighters immediatly behind him applied air brakes and fell back. The lead MiG continued on, seemingly suicidal, but, suddenly, it fired a small missile. He pilot them thumbed a small button and the missile exploded. Well, exploded was the wrong word, the missile sort of fizzled and broke apart. Nothing had seemed to happen, but, then, hundreds of enemy missiles began to fall out of the sky, plumiting towards the earth below. The 30 or so missiles that were lucky enough to escape the EMP blast flew forward, 6 shredded into the lead MiG, it exploded, sending a red-hot metal rain to the ground. The other MiGs took evasive action, dropping flares and chaff, 18 other missiles exploded in quick succession. 6 other MiGs were caught by missiles and shredded, sending their ruins to the ground. The remaining MiGs acquired target locks in rapid succession and launched 30 missiles towards the air borne fighters. The F/A 118s that were following behind dropped elevation, gained target acquisitions, and lauched buster missiles and torpedoes towards the navel forces/ sam lauchers.
OOC: Could we possibly get a map of Diminix. Also, I couldn't tell if those were navel forces luanching SAMs or if they were navel ships.
[That wouldn't work because EMP doesn't work against Diminix. Technology in Diminix doesn't pick up the certain pulse which EMP would paralyze. I made an R&D thread on it along time ago I'm just not sure if it survived the purges. Also a MIRV is a big ass missle which breaks into 4 seperate ICBMs. Search back a few posts, my Armored Falcons blasted 13 of them towards you lol. As for a map, look at a map of South America. I use that continent as my map.]

sorry, i forgot the edit. You're missing the point of the EMP. If it's electric, it gets fried. Doesn't matter what kind of electric thing it is. If there are circuts in it, its gone. Anything else that could avoid the EMP is pre 1950s.
Have a nice day :D

*sigh*
I'm doing this for BLARG cause his post didn't go through...
If your missile have ANYTHING electronic in them, an EMP will disable them. Period. EMPs generate a pulse inducing (as Maxwell discovered in the late 1800s, magnetic fields can induce electrical fields and vice-versa) a VERY powerful electrical current in anything generating electromagnetic waves. In fact, an electrical current is also induced in many conductive materials in the range of the EMP (so wires are fried, and occasionally buildings are electrified). There is no specific frequency of an EMP, it is all across the EM spectrum-from AC current to gamma rays. The only technology resistant to EMPs is stuff dating from before the 1950s (at the very latest). The only way to have modern tech resistant to an EMP is to encase it in several inches of lead (which would make your missiles VERY heavy indeed). If you claim to use electrical devices resistant to EMPs, you are placing your RP far outside the tech realm we're working in (as in that tech is several hundred years ahead of the current state of things, whereas repulsor engines and energy weapons are not). So, in conclusion, an EMP would have fried your missiles, and if you claim that it didn't you are cutting it dangerously close to a godmod.
rofl, that Shadow bomber is a big godmod but I won't get into that right now. Iight this is the way the SAMS would work against the EMP. All the electronics from the SAMS are contained in a steel box inside the S.A.M itself. Which would stop it BUT the box does need ventilation in which the EMP could slip into some. I'll take casualties on which the ones the EMP slipped through. The box is called a Faraday cage. Also I want to see casualties for the ICBM that your .50 caliber could not have shot down >.>
BLARGistania
28-03-2004, 01:17
I explained how the Shadow worked, and why it wasn't a godmod. Besides, its not like the shadow is going to change the war. I have very specific plans for it, none of which entail it winning the war single-handedly. Other than that, its not a bomber. Its a stealth ship which essectially is meant to transport the assasin, or to get to the target then deploy the seeker. Other than that, it doesn't do too much. Oh, and are you going to post losses from my missile attacks as well as my bombers which are currently over your cities? More later. . .

Since Dim asked for some help over mIRC on EMP stuff, I feel sorta responsible for reasonable EMP use here.
Please read the following site, it is quite informative.
http://www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil/airchronicles/kopp/apjemp.html
Also, Dim, MIRV's (at least real ones) don't break into multiple ICBMs.
They are singular ICBMs carrying Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles (MIRV). Near the appex of the ICBM's trajectory, it releases a "bus", which is basically a simple rocket engine and structure to hold warheads. This bus has the warheads on it, and will proceed to reorient itself and change trajector (SLIGHLTY) to drop the warheads on different paths. The warheads (i.e. Reentry Vehicles) are nigh upon impossible to shoot down.
The only real hope for intercepting an ICBM is in its boost stage, before it has released the "bus".
Well Reichskampen told you how it would not work in that chat room but you decided not to defend it and leave lol But anyway it's like this. The SAMS which were in the first wave(that are closer to you)are the ones that were at risk the most. The ones behind them could probally survive. So, that's about 100 of my SAMS which would have died from your EMP and the rest is well, another 130 SAMS would be alive + about HALF of the ATA's. I took casualties there soo don't complain.
=====IC=====
The Navy watched it's S.A.M's fall victim to the Electromagnetic missles which the Blarg Air Force released at them. But their prays that the other rounds of S.A.M's could survive the blast and take down the Blarg offensive. But it was not the best time to worry because THEY were now the targets. It wasn't long until the R2D2's were up and running and quickly shooting down most of the buster missles(which I'm assuming are either cluster's or bunker busters, which would be pointless but ok)
[Air launched Torpedoes? I'm sure there is such a thing I'm just not too educated on them]
Two Eclipses tried to evade the incoming missles but fell victim to them. The incoming missles slammed directly into one of the cockpit and the other into the right wing, sending it plummeting onto the beaches. The others quickly evaded and launched their remaining AA-15's.
[So there you have it. I was fair about it lol. Btw, Berserker, these aren't the real ones lol They were made by Crimson Blades for his Armored Falcon Submarines which I have alot of :) ]

It was a dark night, lucky for the bombers for it had provided for excellent cover. The low clouds had also helped mask their approach, and they had done their job. The lead bomber pilot looked down over the gleaming lights of the city, he knew what was down there. Civilians. Unarmed, unprepared. He also knew what Diminix had done to his people though, and he was ready to fight back. The pilot watched the gleaming lights begin to slid under his plane. He called back to his squad leader and relayed orders. "Drop on mark. Three. . .two. . . one. . . mark."
In concert, 50 of the heavy bombers disgorged their loads, raining fire on the city below. The pilot muttered grimly "they want to burn innocents, now, they feel that burn. Good Night Diminix, welcome to hell."

Command Center Arctavian III rececieved the orders at half past midnight. They were simple, but carried a very heavy weight with them.
Priority: Red
order: enforce protocol shatter, designate targets of class III of greater. execute.
The commander looked down at the short message with shock. This protocol had only been used once before, and it had been stopped before initation. This time however, the message carried no sign of regret. The commander sent the message to his coordinater. The coordinater punched in the code, added his verification, and sent the orders out.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silo 6b7 received the orders at :45 after. They had heard the reports of the day earlier, but they had no idea it would elevate to this level. Still, following the orders, they enetered the coordinates and iniated launch. 10 minutes later, the missile rumbled and came to life. The blast doors opened and the missile lept out, like a beast freed from its cage. Across the nation, similar events were taking place. The next report came in at 1 am, 50 ICBMs headed towards Diminix. Their targets: Major Civilian centers, industrial areas, military targets.
The missiles soared on. . .

OOC: Fine, Diminix, you don't seem to want to give up on that ICBM, so here's some casualties: it was mildly spoofed by ECMs (electronic counter-measures) around Mentholypta, so it nailed a suburb instead of downtown. The suburb was pretty spread out, lots of parks and recreational areas, so the missile didn't level much of it...3,000 casualties.
IC: Nemesis Groups Alpha-Epsilon made their touchdown on the outskirts of a burning city. The cover of heavy smoke and dark night had made their landing undetectable, exactly according to plan. The 128 members of Nemesis had very specific orders: a number of targets deemed "enemies of Fististan as well as the Dominican People" were to be eliminated by the end of the week. The Nemesis operatives would not sstart the intelligence-gathering phase of Operation Inner Fire until just before dawn, and thus had some time to kill. Noting the burning city in front of them, Nemesis' Commander Ulyanov grinned. He had an idea...
Ten minutes later, 128 covert operatives enjoyed a fantastic marshmallow roast over the smoldering ruins of a Dominican mansion. Ulyanov stood, and spoke to his soldiers: "Men, enjoy yourselves tonight, for tomorrow our vengeance begins. The Passions will burn this week, paying for their crimes and the crimes of their country!"

The city was on high alert for the longest time and the bombs seen to be falling were nothing but a game for the defenses already in the city. R2D2's atop buildings and such opened their hatches and began to slowly take out the bombs which were heading for the city. Patriots spread out through the city also launched into the sky aiming for the bombs.
[I can't really say how many bombs were destroyed or survived cause I'm not sure on two things:
1)How many bombers are left.
2)The bombers maximum loads.]
----------------
Greater Prussian Satellites picked it up almost automatically. The missles were launched and the information was being relayed to the SDI headquarters immediatley.
"Do we have a course set on them yet?" Asked one of the HQ Directors
"Yes sir they're headed right for Diminix." Said a man on a computer
"Alright. Let's hustle we gotta get the V3i's up right now" Said the director
In a matter of minutes over four hundred of the V3i intercepter missles brushed off into the night sky towards the ICBMS. The computers still fed the direction of the ICBMS and soon after the missles were taking them down. The first strike took a total of twenty two of the enemy missles out of the sky, almost half of them. Twenty eight ICBMS were still headed for the homeland, but it wasn't a probally. Greater Prussian satelites also fed the Domincan military their course. Across the nation at the specified targets: the capital cities, the army bases and Diminix's economic centers all launched 2 volleys of thirty V3i's at the remaining ICBMS.
[I'll finish the defensive later]
---
The Rocket Control Center in Cerebral was punching in the final coordinates for the missles. Up in the skies above the Satelite launchers prepared the V4f's, around 200 of them to be launched at the Blargian naval forces. While the other 300 normal V4's on the ground were beginning to be launched at the naval forces as well.
[The V4f's break into 10 smaller V4's, so 200x10 = 2k + the 300 Normal ones. AND the MIRVS, still waiting for those casualties]

Okay, a few OOC things, and maybe an IC post if I can get the time.
1. Diminix, my bombers were gone before you launched your missiles, read the post if you don't believe me, its the last one on page three, so, all those missiles you launched, they were going for the forward MiGs as well as the remaining F/A 118s.
2. If you don't start posting reasonable losses soon, I'm going to ignore whatever damage you try to do to me. I launched 30 missiles from the MiGs at you Eclpises, and only 2 of them were hit? Thats almost godmoddy.
3. I launched 100 missiles at your navel fleet, you're talking about hitting a 6 foot object travelling 1500+ mph from a short distance. I think not.
4. Again with the missiles. You were criticising me + mentho for taking down a bunch of the missiles, but we took losses and explained what happened. You have just decided to take down all of my 50 ICBMs. Again, I think not. Start posting real losses, or we just get tired and nuke you. or use the ignore cannon, your choice.
5. Since you did not respond to the bombers leaving, I posted a fire-bombing of your city. An incendearie bomb is about 3 feet across and carriers napalm and gellied gas. Each of my bombers can carry about 200 of them. Thats going to be roughly 10000 bombs being dropped on your city. Patriots do nothing against them because they have nothing for the patriot to track, and r2d2s, I looked it up, its an unmanned bomber used in Afghanistan according to what I have read. So, those shooting down the missiles. Ummm. . . .no.
More later. . . dinner now.
1. I hope you don't believe that time between the posts equals time in the game. 'Cause that's just dumb.
2. Yep only 2
3. It's not impossible to shoot a missle down. Not unless it's yours of course cause all your missles are invincible.
4. lol You would try to nuke me, but that would fail so miserably.
5. Your missles are invincible. I forgot.
6. The R2D2 is just a nickname for the chain gun missle defense systems in the U.S Navy.
7. Add it all up = You're ignored.
Too bad I thought you and Mentho were good rp'ers. I guess I was really wrong.

1. Its an accepted RP rule: should your opponent not respond to your move within a day/ his next post, you are allowed to make your next move/post his losses (within reason)
2. those losses are not accurate reflections of the combat going on, get real.
3. I never stated all my missiles were invincible, i would accept missile losses. However, shooting down 100 6-foot objects within the space of a few seconds is just impossible.
4. If i did nuke you, it would be with an ignore cannon, and you would not stop it.
5. Again with the missiles. Shooting down 10,000 missiles within the 20 seconds it takes them to fall - impossible. The SAMs are also bigger than the missile and they have nothing to track, look up what your firing at before you try to shoot it down.
6. No, the R2D2 is an unmanned bomber used in afghanistan, again, look it up.
7.Only if you think so.

OOC: In light of recent events and the obviously useless debate as to who is godmodding (seeing as Diminix will clearly not give up on anything here), the nation of Mentholyptus officially IGNOREs Diminix. Enjoy the fun below.
IC: A squadron of Star Tugs blasted through the upper atmosphere, nearing the location of Mentholyptus' glorious I.G.N.O.R.E. Cannon Mark V, jovially nicknamed the "Explwn0r" by those who operated it. The Tugs docked at one of many airlocks on the Explwn0r, and disgorged a veritable army of engineers and technicians to the station.
Several hours later, with preparations completed, the Explwn0r was brought on-line on the bridge. Captain Maximillian Gladius ordered the massive station brought around to firing position, directly over the nation of Diminix. Once the station was lined up, the navigational officer reported in: "Cannon aligned, sir." Gladius' finger hovered over a large red "FIRE" button, and he commanded "Bring the primary coils on-line." The Ops Officer called out "Coils on-line. Ready to fire." Gladius counted down: "Firing in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four" all over the station, crewmen hurried to viewports, putting on flash helmets. "Three, two, one. Fire!" Gladius' finger stabbed down onto the button. A rumbling commenced in the bowels of the station, developing into a high-pitched whine. A glow brightened at the end of the barrel...and a brilliant white beam lanced forth to burn into the skies over Diminix.
Hurtling downward, the shimmering discharge tore birds, clouds, and anything else unlucky enough to be airborne into their constituent molecules. Within a millisecond, the mile-wide pillar of fire struck the Dominican capital with a sound akin to the fist of a mighty war-god striking his foe. In a blinding flash, the entire city was vaporized, and a shockwave spread through air and earth alike, buckling the ground in a rolling wave that faded slowly as it neared the borders of the hapless nation. Diminix was completely destroyed, its cities reduced to rubble and its citizens (those who weren't immediately vaped) hurled about like rag dolls.
OOC: Diminix, I won't be listening to you anymore, so you may as well shut up. This war is over.
