Rixtex
08-03-2004, 14:58
This is the third poll of a number of directors of the UNSC. The election is at different locations with different candidates because the NS Forum limits the number of options which can be added to a poll.

Each participant has three votes, one vote in this poll, one in Poll 1 and one in Poll 2. Please cast votes in all three polls. A link to Poll 1 and Poll 2 can be found in the replies below.

Please see this link for the election announcement and rules:

With the vote hanging in the balance (currently with 3 votes split fairly evenly between the candidates... :-)
we await the opening speeches of the 3 candidates before casting our vote.
If anyone would like to bring their credentials to the platform?

An election isn't won with silence (unless its' ...er... a "Who can be the most silent" competition... bu t I digress!) let's have you then!

fellow nations...

First of all the DSH wishes to extend its good wishes for the other two honourable nations who have the conscience and determination to contribute to an important development in the furtherment of knowledge for the good of all humanity. Indeed, we salute all nations who have volunteered to be part of this consortium

Moreover, the DSH wishes to thank President Wax of The Democratic Order of Rixtex for their tenacity and determination to carry through the recently passed resolution to fruitition.

Firstly it has always been the ambition of the DSH to positively contribute to the international stage, to widely further humanity as a whole, in partnership with other similarly minded nations, and our efforts within the United Nations have already shown this. The UNSC presents a further opportunity for the DSH to act for the benefit of all member states.

The Democratic states of Hirota has spent many years perfecting propulsion technology, and already has in existence a strong network of Manned orbital stations, many of which would be suitable for use in UNSC endeavours.

The DSH is a member of no alliances, and thus could never have a conflict of interest between what is best for the UNSC, and other loyalties.

The DSH is happy to field any questions member states may have on our polices.

Regards

The Shiree vote has been placed with the candidate Hirota (whose name we didn't catch, sorry).

Our people are a little overly excited about Hirota's previous experience in manned missions and, irrespective of whose candidates are elected to the Board, would appreciate advise and training for the first generation of Shiree Cosmonauts, perhaps coupled with some form of cultural entanglement.

We wish all the candidates good luck

No, it was our oversight. My name is Jerome Hansen, the DSH's former minister in charge of space operations.

Greetings fellow supporters of the UNSC,

I am Head of the Ukroatia Space Initiative. As you all know, our country has supported the UNSC from proposal to resolution. If elected as a member of the board, I swear I will do all within my power to maintain a steady yet reasonable budget. Explore new modes of fuels, and a cost effective way to make this great vision a reality.

After the UNSC resolution passed, we tried to pass another resolution that would have given the UNSC more powers and a larger budget, but we were shot down.

We will help our coalition of nations achieve dreams that have been dreamt for far too long and help make them a reality.
