Green smoke filled the air as the image came into focus. Atop an altar stood a man, shrouded in darkness. A powerful yet calming voice echoed through the room as he spoke.

"In my heart’s sequestered chambers lie truths stripped of poet’s gloss. Words alone are vain and vacant and my heart is mute. In response to aching silence, memory summons, half heard voices…and my soul finds primal eloquence and wraps me in song."

The man paused, slowly considering his next few words.

"It is on the eve of this day that I come to power, striving towards a new dawn for my people. For too long we have been ridiculed, occupied, and lost. Tired of aspiring for greatness within the GDODAD and Metus, I have been chosen by my people to lead us out from our own hell."

The lights dimmed slowly until nothing could be seen.

"It is because of this, the destiny of myself and my people, that I claim Destroyer space an open war zone. All those who enter will be treated as agressors with the utmost haste. This is merely a warning, do not make things more difficult than they must be..."

"While everyone knows that learning to deal with the power that you have been given is hard at first, declaring your independance will not by any means make it a more painless process. As a planet in the Orion Sector, the planet of Destroyer has no space, for all space is owned and ruled over by the Steel-Orion Empire. In fact, your nation in itself is a mere protectorate. The fact that you are in Metus and the GDODAD strains relations enough. Now you feel that in light of our great Civil War you should strike a chord of an even higher note in furthering the violence. I implore you to rethink your actions, for if you feel that you are indeed independant, you will be required to pay taxes and follow Imperial Law."

In light of the surrounding events involving a fellow Metus member, the Czar has released a press statement. Oh! Here he is now.



"Fellow citizens of Derscon, and people of the world. As a controversy revolving around Destroyer erupts, I have decided to come to the aid of a fellow alliance member. As Destroyer's own soverengty is questioned, I will honor Destroyer with full diplomatic representation and full recognition as a nation. Just because he is in a certain region does not mean he belongs to the nation that is most powerful there! I urge all nations to recognize the soverengty of Destroyer, for so it is a nation that split off from a tyrannical regime. Any action taken against Destroyer will be interpreted as an act of war against a sovergn nation belonging to an alliance which I am a part of, and I will take action as such. Good night, and God Bless Derscon, GDODAD, and Metus."

Reaching for one her daily reports Jade took a moment to read the file over. Most she just gave a passing glance, not paying to much attention, how could she with the amount of information that passed over her desk every day. However, this one caught her attention, the file told of planet declaring it independence from Steel Butterfly, but more importantly away from Nemerov’s control.

Another planetary system is trying to slip out of Nemerov grasp she thought to her sefl we could use this to our advantage, without a doubt Nemerov will attempt to take back control the system.

She quickly wrote a message to send to the new leader of Destroyer, according the file his name was Fithos. The message read.

The government of Tappee recognizes your new found independence, and will order all civilian, and military to stay out the space around your planet. In addition if needed we will provide any kind of support the your government should require if your new borders are not recognized by the Imperial Regime of Steel Butterfly.
