Fair proposals decrease political motivation

07-03-2004, 00:07
I, the president of The Democratic Republic of Dermencia state our concern for the number of proposals to vote that are way too fair and offer nothing to disagree with. We believe that international politics should have a spirit of clashing opinions, that leads to the ultimate evolution of the human race as a whole. Therefore debates with some controversy over UN proposals are necessary, and also contribute to a higher motivation from political leaders all over the world.

Proposals like 'take children out of the wars' shouldn't be taking away our time, our precious time that is already spent on taking care of internal issues, in order to satisfy our brainless population that seem to like pissing off the political class by coming up with the same problems each two weeks or so.

We also would like to support any nations willing to make stupid/controversial/illogical proposes to vote on the UN, so we the representants of the depressed international political class can piss you off in exchange by saying your proposal is stupid/illogical/too controversial to be applied to all nations in the world, and voting against it.

Kthxbye.

Sincerely,
Mr. President

First off: this belongs in 'United Nations' and it should be moved.

Second off: 90% of politics in real life is about stuff people agree on. Only the things that people disagree on get into the news.

Third off: (?) the unfair proposals are already weeded out by the delegates. No matter how many times proposals are made to legalise softdrugs, it never gets through...

Sorry then, we're a bit inexperient in international relationships.

Second off: 90% of politics in real life is about stuff people agree on. Only the things that people disagree on get into the news.

Last time I checked this wasn't exactly real life. Time to check again?

Third off: (?) the unfair proposals are already weeded out by the delegates. No matter how many times proposals are made to legalise softdrugs, it never gets through...

Too bad. Anyone to form a general conspiracy to get new delegates into power or something?

Sincerely,
Mr. President

*checks again*

No, it isn't Real Life. But the same principles apply: issues that are controversial aren't going to pass. As for bringing new delegates to power: good luck.
