OOC: All nations are welcome to send an Ambassador or Delegate to view a Public Hearing on Edmund Dantes's Senate Hearing. Please RP right.

The Senate of the Imperial Republic took order. The massive room where 405 Senators of all provinces and districts of Tersanctus met. Arund the circular room hundreds of Senators in suits coughed and shuffled to their seats. This was a historic day in Tersanctus. It would be the first time that dismissal of an Executor had been brought before the Senate.

Speaker Aaron Clarke sat at his desk in the center of the seatings, he was a man in his forties, he had brown hair that was greying at the sides. By no means a handsome man, nonetheless he had siver-grey eyes that shone an intimidating brilliance.

"On this, the fifth day of March, the Senate of the Imperial Republic of Tersanctus will come too order."

Speaker Clarke went through the motions of roll, and confirming presences and representatives of the Senators whom were unable too show. All this was done in minutes through a computerized system.

Behind Clarke stood a massive screen that displayed the Great Seal of Tersanctus.

The screen went on too display the information relevant to the proceedings.

"Now than, it has come before this Senate, that Edmund Dantes, whom is in the Executive position, of Executor of this nation, may be in violation of the Tersanctan Constitution for "abuse and negligence of office". How plead you, Executor Dantes?" Speaker Clarke asked him though Edmund was not there just yet, but it was the words that would be taken onto the record for officiality.

Edmund arrived fifteen minutes later, accompanied by a lawyer and Patrick Stewart, the nations Executive Branch Chief Diplomat.

Sitting down Edmund was brought up to speed on the proceedings, thus far.

"The Executor Edmund Dantes wishes too enter a plea, of not guilty." the lawyer officially entered.

"Now than, I will read the charges, as these proceedings are too continue. Edmund Dantes, you stand accused of negligence and abuse of your office.
Charge one: Misuse of the National Foreign Policy in constructing alliances with Pantera, and Automagfreek.

Charge two: You have dedicated more national resources to Foreign Affairs, than Domestic.

Charge three: Your position in the United Emirates, has constantly outweighed your role as Executor of Tersanctus. Though this charge, if found guilty upon, will simply result in a new Delegate being appointed. If you are still Executor at the time, you may appoint, based on our approval.

Now than...with the charges being brought forward, I will now begin the case of the Senate against the Executor." said Clarke as he got up and wlked over to the screen.

John Ryan sat in the back of the senate room, observing the trial. He was an aging man in his early fifties, yet looked as though he had the stamina and abilities of a 20 year old. He wore a nice Agrigentonian suit, and sat in a relxed position.

Imitora did have brief relations with Tersanctus before the government had decided to go full isolationist. Now, in an attempt to re-open relations with the nation, the First Speaker of the Domain had sent Ryan to observe the procedings.

Speaker Clarke took the Floor and stood in front of the Massive Screen, which than showed his face, his giant eyes now seeming too cast over the massive room.

"On a personal note, Edmund, I know you were recently wed too Alyssa Drake, and your friend Augustus Drake, in Drakonia has undergone an Assassination Attempt, I know that this cannot be easy for you. But the nation comes first, which as Executor you well know." he said compassionately.

Edmund nodded in understanding.

"Now than, Executor. The first charge is misuse of Foreign Policy to construct alliances with AMF and Pantera, Pantera, though part of APTO, a region we consider to be friendly too Tersanctus, is still known for its low stance on human rights in Military affairs. AMF, more specifically Damien, is known for the Revival of GDODAD, Global Dominion of Dictators against Democracy.....if I need even say more." he said in a very serious tone.

"Now while in the United Emirates it might be considered differently, this is a domestic issue, and there will not be external policy permissable to the proceedings, that includes Emirate nations, which will also be questioned in these proceedings."

"In the case of Automagfreek, the charge is that you constructed an alliance with a nation that is openly contrary too the policies of this Republic, a Democracy. In the case of Pantera, especially in the events of the Trojan War, they targeted non-military targets, when you asked Bastien too join you, was this not at all upon your conscience?" asked the Speaker.

"Troy was a threat to the continued existence of Tersanctus! Of the the UE! While our forces may have been more merciful with the Enemy, what Pantera did was there "policy" speaker! And Damien left GDODAD! You tell me Speaker,...would you rather have Reavers and Sentinels fighting alongside our Templar? Or have the Templar hold back the gates of hell? What I have done, I have done for Tersanctus!" Edmund cried.

Speaker Clarke snorted.

"What you did,..you did for Tersanctus,.....thats cute. Tell me what need did wew have of their friendship in the first place, Edmund? Tersanctus stands for principle, and part of those principles is that we stand agianst those who do not rrespect human rights, and freedom of the masses to select there own Government. Both of whom you seemed to want to be in bed with politically."

Speaker Clarke than when on too the next issue.

Charge two: Devoting more national rescources to external affairs than domestic. The screen behind him brought up.

"Essentially, you spend more time in other countries with other delegates, than you do here at home. Tell me Executor, your supposed to be running this nation, yet your constantly off giving international aid, or dilemma. Drakonia seems too constatnly be getting into foriegn affairs, and look where it got them! Three wars in three years! Morgoth may well be coming to add us to his list. By what you have done Executor, is endangering the people of Tersanctus. Not too mention what happened in Old Tersanctus! An entire colony nuked!"

*The Tercero crumples the notice in anger, standing up at his desk*

"Damn the affairs of state! Charter my personal jet....we leave for the trial this very evening. Nathaniel can handle the affairs of state for now."

*His brown eyes burned in rage, annoyed that a presumptious Senate should seek to remove such a fine man from ofice, after all he had seen the nation through. This was why Crownguard made certain only the GOOD people remained on the Council of Lords.*

"I will lambast these fools at the trial MYSELF!"

*He promised, staring at his reflection in the mirror, sipping a cinnamon laced coffee to calm his nerves, awaiting the preparations for the trip to Tersanctus and to meet these "senators". *

HOURS LATER:

*He boarded the ousprung starcase, climbing aboard the Gulfstream jet, the standard escort of Longsword fighters already circling overhead in preparation as the plane taxis, then takes off. It would be another long flight, and an even longer FIGHT.*

Third Charge: More time has been dedicated too the United Emirates Alliance, than has too the office of the Executor.

The screen displayed the third charge against Edmund.

"Now, this is the less serious of the three charges, as it will only end with a new Delegate being sent too the United Emirates Leadership Council. However, Edmund, with the evidence stacked up against you, it will be unlikely that you will be able too maintain that position even if you are dismissed from your current one."

Senator Clarke took off his glasses and looked closely at Edmund's Face.

"The logs and paperwork clearly indicate that you have dedicated 8000 man-hours to the United Emirates in the last five years, wheras only 800 too Tersanctus. This of course includes your staff and Cabinet, as one man could hardly put up that amount of effort."

Edmund looked carefully around at the peering faces of the Senators. His judges, juries and executioners. He spoke carefully with Patrick and his lawyer.

OOC: I'm going to take a few liberties just to get my man on the ground. Hope that's okay since the trial is the focus. I can edit if you so wish.

IC:
When news of the trial reached Vrak, there was muttering. After careful deliberation, it was concluded that a special envoy would be sent to observe the proceedings, since, after all, the relationship between Tersanctus and Drakonia was of interest to Vrak.

A modified hypersoar bomber/transport departed a military airstrip on the outskirts of Vrak Prime. Soon, with its great speed, it neared the lands of Tersanctus and descended after receiving proper clearances.

The door opened and, perhaps much to the surprise of the hosts, no walruses were present. Instead, Special Envoy Joseph Priuik, a human male in his early forties, along with a lone, hulking bodyguard exited and soon were made their way to the trial.

His name was Russel Harrisson. He was an Agent with Acumen, the Tersanctan Intelligence Agency. He stood in a hallway off to the side in the Senate Building, he smoked a ciggarette listening intently to the charges being prattled off.

His curly sandstone-colored hair, matched his trenchcoat. He felt his leather wallet, that had his ID that was kept inside along his standard issue Magsec-4 Pistol.

As he blew smoke down the hallway he brought too mind the recording that, he had listened too many times before. It was Aaron Clarke, and another party, that had technology so advanced that they could not trace its source or filter it out too hear the real voice. They bugged the Speaker's office and home months ago when there was some strange budget measures were passed.

They were reserves, billions being put aside for a "rainy day" or some other hokey speech. They were cleverly disguised in paperwork and legal jargon, but Acumen existed to see through that bullshit.

Clarke:Yes, when we remove him from power, we will be ready too make the purchases. When Edmund is dissmissed, the Speaker of the Senate becomes the Interim Executor, so there is no speed bumps there.

Unknown Party:Excellent, than soon shall the United Emirates fall, and we are in agreement on the exchange?

Clarke: Yes, we will make the purchase, and reveal to you everything we have on Menelmacar, and their technology.

Unknown Party: Goo-- recording breaks off as encryption takes over, and the digital recording breaks off

He needed too make contact with Edmund before these proceedings went any further, he had HQ make several back-up plans to release their information to the Media should he be killed. But it was unlikely that the Senate knew anything.

The trial continued and many delgates moved about, many of whom Russel recognized, mainly from collected intelligence reports with photos.

He would likely need too wait until a recess was called, as this was very sloppy for Acumen, but this was the earliest that they were able to get a hold of him, and he knew that the Senate Guard Corps monitored all communication, electronic or otherwise, that took place in the building.

As he continued smoking, two men in dark suits approached him from behind.

"Excuse me, Mr Harrison. Would you come with us, please?" One of them asked in a quiet tone.

He turned around with an incredulous look. The Senate Guard! "How in the fuck do you know who I am?" he asked.

They simply repeated their question, and Russel knew he was going too die, there would be only one option....draw attention too himself. Something he was an expert at doing the opposite of.

He looked around nervously and prepared to scream, but one of the men put a damp cloth ove his mouth, with a vise-like grip, while the other prepared a syringe, and shot him in the neck.

His vision began too go blurry, and the image of the two men looking over him with ones arm extended over his mouth would be the last he ever saw.

**The Tercero marched down the hallways of the Senatorial building, his credit quite high with the recent alliance, and the power of Crownguard enough to make most people at least respectful and polite, if not friendly. However, Mr. Delryn was NOT friendly in the least after a very long flight, followed by dealings with several minor bureaucratic maggots*

"I WILL see the Executor, Edmund Dantes and observe this trial. I have a great deal to speak to him concerning various events as of late, and he is still the head of this nation, trial or not. DO NOT hinder me on my affairs of State!"

**He snapped at the guards, whos eemed to nervously allow him to pass, Xavier's eyes staring down all but the msot determined protectors. At his sides flanked 4 bodyguards in the outfit of the Imperial Defense Force, body armor a dull black as red image intensifier lenses blinked. The troupe moved on down the halls, the irate Tercero taking the "back way" to the trial, as opposed to the more red tape-laden official stands and the like......the group moved on, down empty halls....**

(OOC: Interesting twist of events, Tersanctus. I am considering having the Tercero and his troupe observe the murder, and set off a conspiracy theory between Crownguard and Tersanctus, as the Tercero tries to back Dantes against the Senate, and assassins sent after them. Up to you, of course.)

OOC: Thank you, thank you. Im planning on a "secret" civil war. Small grabs at power, there are even more factions that will come into play. All within the unsuspecting populace not finding anything out, one of those conspiracy stories. I need something interesting, or I will end up leave leave NS! (Thats was semi-serious, but I am getting burnt-out with the same 'ol, same 'ol. Which is why your TG was a godsend.)

IC:

Three Templar sat in their barracks watching the trial incredulously. Their Military Order was the Temple of Kungshao, technically independent of the Tersanctan Government, due to the Seperation of Church and State being an absolute within Tersanctan Politics. But the elite military training that these men and women recieved was an indispensible asset to the Armed forces, not too mention the fact that they dedicated their lives to being a Templar, this lended more ferocity too the battlefield, than a rank-and-file soldier in the Imperial Trisagion Military that had something too lose.

"I cannot beleive this shit. They're trying the Executor for...not being here or something? I mean the a Senate takes care of the majority of the politics anyway! So what if hes off making sure our foriegn policy is straight! Things have been a real shitstorm outside Tersanctus anyway!" said one.

"Eh! Its all politics anyway, man. Who cares anyway? It will all blow over in a few weeks, he'll still be in office, and the Senate will go on with their votes, which are mostly increasing their salaries, anyways." said another.

"I dont know. Personally, I think somethings up...dismissal doesnt come up for just nothing,....I mean, has anyone wondered, who becomes Executor if Edmund Dantes gets dismissed?"

"I think he can appoint someone else...or his son or something...but he doesnt have any kids, I dont think?"

"Exactly, but according to the Constitution, if hes under scrutiny, or being tried, or dismissed by the Senate, he cant appoint a new Executor, the Senate gets power than...in fact...Speaker Aaron Clarke would be an Interim Executor, than whomever he appoints with a majority vote would become the new Executor. Dont you guys know anything about how the Government works?"

Reaching into his diplomatic bag, he drew his custom Imperator 21, aiming at the larger of the two men. The Senate Guard Corpsmen were irate, as well as scared. noone was supposed too know of this. And now an Ambassador finds them.

His pistol drawn and quite level with the Terceros Head, the Guard switched the gun to Burst-Fire mode. More inaccurate than single fire, but quite effective at close range.

"Listen..I dont know what you think is going on here. But it is a matter of National Security. I think you know what that means asshole. So I politley suggest that you and your... entourage, keep walking wherever you were going, and forget what you saw." He said nastily.

Five years in the ICMC had him prepared to handel situations like this. He quickly stepped inbetween the groups, holding up both hands. He held out both arms, pushing the two groups away from each other.

"Hey hey hey, this isn't the right place for a shoot out. Lets calm down."

He looked at the Crowngaurdian group. "Listen, I know you may be concerned, but this is the job of the Tersantican security. So I'm assuming they have everythign under control."

"You are right, sir." He said too the Imitoran Ambassador. He than looked at Xavier.

"I apologize for the insult, but this was very stressful, as we came very close to having an International Incident on our hands here. This man is very, or should I say, was, very dangerous, The situation is under control, and we dont want to start a panic, or disrupt these proceedings. So please, go about your business, and speak of this too noone." he said amiably enough, though there was still a fierce look in his eyes.

Emperor's Island
Civil Defense Corps,
Naval Air Base
1315 Zulu

A large Huey pounded its rotors through the air, preparing to embark on the small naval air strip in Northern Tersanctus. The air technician directed the Chopper too land.

After the landing a group of Officers, ceremoniously got out of Chopper making way for Templar officer. This was unusual, as Interaction between regular military, and the Templar of the Temple of Kungshao rarely occured, save wartime.

The Civil Defense Corps and the Templar made their way too the an Administration Building, obviously under heavy security. The made their way through several checkpoints and eventually came into a secure room.

There, they began thier discussion.

"Gentleman, thank you all for attending, I realize that this was last minute. We all know why we are here. The Senate appears too making a move for power. More specifically, Senator Aaron Clarke." spoke one of the officers, lighting up a cigar.

The Templar Commandant, one of the Highest ranking officials within the temple, looked a bit irked by it, but pulled out a pack of his own ciggarettes and lit up.

"We Templar, are the oldest Military Order within these lands, we have held back the invasions of dozens of groups, even the mighty Drakonians, whom now are our closest ally. But not since the war with them forty years ago, have we witnessed an Internal change in power with such duplicity." he said with a vigor.

"Yes, it seems that Acumen has the evidence too back this up as well, the problem is, THe Speaker seems too have a strong backer, one whom may be strong enough to destroy any resistance to his takeover. The question is, who,...and why?" said another officer.

"The problem is, we reveal any of this. There will be civil war upon our hands, and possibly even external attempts at takeover. Tersanctus must remain strong. We can either do an overt Destruction of the Senate. Which leads to the Dozens of Delegates from other countries' deaths, resulting in a massive International Incident." said Another.

"So that leaves the best option of a covert strike...but when? Who knows when and if these proceedings will be over...and the Senate Guard Corps, are not too be underestimated, Acumen has already reported the loss of one agent. And the Civil Defense Corps, as well as the Imperial Trisagion Military, arent equipped to handle this type of situation."

The Templar smiled.

"We are." he said with a smirk in his voice, as the Inter-departmental rivalry seemed alive as ever.

"And I think we can ask a few more outside groups for help.....The Imitoran Colonial Marines, and Crownguard Military are always in a position of help. Crownguard seems 100% in their wish to be allied with this country, and Imitora seems willing to re-open relations despite their Isolationsist policy."

Suddenly, an aide rushed in out of breath. The table prepared to rip him a new one, when he yelled out.

"Sirs! It just came in! Executor Edmund Dantes has resigned! Aaron Clarke is the Executor now!"

There was a stunned silence around the table.

The file slid across the desk of James Madison's desk. Madison was the head of the Imitoran Diplomatic Reserve, a governemnt agency whose entire purpose was to establish embassies and cement relations with other nations. However, unknown to the world, the IDR was under the control of the ICIA, the Imitoran Central Intelligence Agency.

He flipped through the report on the change of power, and opened up a personal file on his computer. He began typing, and after five minutes, sent out a heavily encoded email. The 'letter' moved over heavily secured lines of information, and arrived on the computer of the Executive Dirctor of Operations and Intelligence of the ICIA. The EDOI was basically teh second in command of the ICIA, and head of the operations department of the agency. Director Ryan Greere read over the email, and responded in kind.

Three hours later, the Greere and Madison were sitting in the ICIA lunch room, munching on sandwiches and sipping sodas.

"So, what do you think? Is the government gonna do anything about it?" Madison asked inbetween bites of his tuna on rye.

"Well," Greere started, putting down his own sandwich, "I think we can't be sure about anythign yet. We've had our own problems here, so we know how a semi hostile overthrow can be. I think our best bet would be to step back, and let them figure it out, while we observe, and keep ready for action. How many Imitorans do we have in Tersanctus?"

"Right now? Maybe thirty or forty."

"Diplomatic types?"

"Of course."

"Contact them all, and tell them that they are teh new embassy staff for our future embassy in Tersanctus, if they allow it. We can send over some more to round off to a complete staff, and I'll get on the eye side. I got an agent or two we could send over, to keep his eyes peeled."

"Gotcha."

Madison stood, shook Greere's hand, and walked out, back to his own office. There, he began typing up a ambasadorial request, and calling or emailing diplomatic representatives in Tersanctus.

TO: Executer Aaron Clarke
FROM: First Speaker of the Grand Domian via James Madison, Director of Diplomatic Relations and Operations
RE: Embassy Request

Executer Clarke,

First, I would like to congragulate you on your recent rise to power. It is not everyday one can assume a position of power and prestige in a nation. I wish you the best and success in your rule. Further, I would like to re-extend the hand of friendship Imitora once offered.

Due to internal reasons, we were forced into isolation after a brief period of contact, and lost relations with your fine nation. Now, we are once again on the international stage, and would like to open an embassy in Tersanctus. We currently have thirty seven Imitoran Diplomatic Reserve members in Tersanctus, three more than a required minimum staff for an Imitoran embassy.

If granted your permision, we are willing to purchase office space, or build our own personal building, to serve as an embassy, and send further staffers for an embassy.

I look forward to your response, and hope that we can soon be close as we once were. Respectfully,

Director James Madison, Head of Imitoran Diplomat Reserve

Before

Edmund had spoken with his Lawyer, and with his cabinet before the Senate Hearings. They were all suspicious of the Hearings in the first place.

His lawyer had advised him too wait too se what would happen. But noone suspected that it might be something this large. Interdepartmental communication had been slow lately, this was done purposely to prevent any word from reaching Edmund. Another tactic that Aaron Clarke had used too his advantage.

During

Edmund couldnt really beleive this now that it was happening. He talked it over with Patrick. This was it, something was obviously going on. HE was advised to play ball, and wait too make a move.

Edmund stood up.

"I would like too address this Senate, and the People of Tersanctus. I am guilty of these charges, and will not carelessly cling too power of greed. I resign my position of Executor, effective immedeately."

There were gasps and immedeate whispering from all the Senators, and news groups Immedeatley began broadcasting the Story.

Edmund walked out the doors, designed too keep the Media away from the VIP's. He walked into a dark car, with Patrick and his lawyer, and drove away to an unknown place.

After

Edmund got on a plane with Alyssa Drake, a Commandant in the Templar Legions. And made his way to the Secret Meeting with The Civil Defanse Corps, and the Templar Commandant.

*The Crownguardian delegation seemed a bit crestfallen at the news. The entire alliance had in its infant stages hinged on the personal character of the two nations involved, that was what had drawn them into this alliance in the first place. The Tercero seemed bitter and disconsolate, waving his troops and accompanying officials from the Senate Halls, the incident with the guards burned in his mind. Never forget. *

*3 Hours Later*

"Damn them..this is why we make certain that the wrong sort people do not sway such important decisions..."

**Xavier muttered, staring at his mirror. The guards ouside the hall had long grown used to their leader's monologous remarks. The Tercero himself paced back and forth, angered at the whole affair, and how it represented such a colossal blow to his faith in humanity's intelligence. He idly considered calling Edmund up on a military coup, discountin it quickly as nothing ore than an idle daydream. "Progress" had played its card, and his friend was now relegated as a relic in the past of Tersantcus, just whent he future had seemed bright. Regardless, he called upon his troops to keep watch over the entire building, knowing all too well how an international "incident" could cause an uproar throughout both nations, and the world opinion.**

Edmund arrived in Emperor's Island. The Templar had the Information from Acumen, the Tersanctan Intelligence Agency. And as they brought him up too speed, Edmund couldnt hardly beleive it.

"So your telling me that Aaron Clarke is selling out this fucking country? And the United Emirates alliance?...."He couldnt beleive it, as he lit a ciggarette, obviously stressed out.

"How on earth could Acumen, not get this information too me?"

"What do we do?" he looked around at his senior staff.

"Well, first thing's first, we have too get you out of the country before anything happens too you, Their has been a string of deaths and dissapearances, with anything remotely connected too Aaron Clarke. Its fairly obvious whats going on....we dont want youtoo be next.....Executor."
Said one official, obviously very loyal to Edmund.

He smiled.

"Well, the one thing is...I cannot go to any UE country...and Pantera and AMF are gone.....I need another outside alliance." Edmund thought about it.

"Crownguard!" he exclaimed.

"We just very recently signed an alliance treaty, they will least suspect my prescence their country...but we need another diversion... If I am seen with Xavier...they will begin too suspect our friendship..."

"Imitora perhaps?" said one of the officials.
"The rumor mill has it that they are looking to re-open alliances with Tersanctus. Not too mention the ICMC rivals even the Templar."

"Didnt they recently request too open an Embassy with Tersanctus, through Executor Clarke?" asked Edmund putting a disdainful tone on the word Executor.

"Yeah...we can always send a representative to see where their true loyalyties lie...than again why would they involve themselves in an International Incident?" said another official.

"Its worth a try either way..send a Acumen Agent to make contact with the Imitoran Official at the Temporary Embassy that Clarke opened up...Lets see if Acumen can give SGC (Senate Guard Corps) a run for their money. And send a Messenger to Xavier....keep him up too speed on whats going on...he can know whatever...Im giving the man top-level clearance on this...I trust him." said Edmund.

The Tercero continued to pace, wondering why he was still here after the supposed incident with the SGC and the new rise of the Executor. He idly considered returning to Gariland City, before deicding he had to follow through with this thrice-damned alliance, the alliance with a huge wedge in it at this point in time.

"Damn Clarke and his lackeys..this isnt right...."

**he shook his head, continuing to pace as the guards waited outside stoically. In their hearts, they felt the same way..they had nothing but respect for strong leaders..not wily politicians. Each man or woman who would serve had first to serve the military, it was the only way of things.**

Too 1895 West Thourby road went a non-descript model car. Out went a non-descript man and walked up too the office building. It was the Imitoran Embassy,...for the time being at least. He walked in, and nodded at the receptionist and went directly too the elevator.

He got off on the fifth floor, and made his way too the Imitoran Guards.

"Hi! I have an appointment with the Imitoran Ambassador, I have some information regarding the latest ideal time too begin the material transport." he said friendily, the wording obviously some code.

And another Messenger, a personal friend of Edmund, made his way too a hotel in Downtown Sanctus, this was where Xavier Delyrn was reported to have been staying.

He went too his reserved room, and waited for the phone call too meet him. Security had too be maintained....there was no telling when or where the SGC might be.

"I hate politics," the Ambassador exclaimed, upon returning to the Drakonian Embassy. "Making me cut short my vacation....I hadn't even stopped at that spa in Westfall, yet! A nice alone camping trip was all I asked....oh, and a day at that spa afterwards."

But, Ambassador Adrian Zues wasn't the only one complaining. "Took us, a week to find you guys," the Commander of the contingent of soldiers assigned to the Ambassador's recovery whined. "Tell me again why you listened to the Ambassador's order and left you radios at the hotel?"

Fortunately, the dirty, tired group was distracted from their bellyaching by the greeting of the Deputy Ambassador. "Ambassador, thank Tiamat!" The man slapped a folder into the Ambassador's arms before the Ambassador could even react to the greeting. "We've been trying to reach you for almost two weeks. Wher--"

"I know." Adrian Zues cut the man off, idly opening the folder. "I told you, I wanted some time away from this job. I threw my cell phone out of the car--"

There was muttering from those unfortunate enough to be required to accompany the Ambassador on his vacation. "And ours."

"-- the fifth time you tried to call me. As I remember we were just driving out of this blasted city, at the time." The Adrian's voice had not lost his displeasure at being summoned back. "Now, what in all the nine levels of hades is this all about?"

"Take your pick." The Deputy Ambassador indicated the rather thick folder. "Everything in there should bring you up to speed."

Adrian looked from the open folder in his hands to the Deputy Ambassador, in disbelief, twice. "Everything?!"

"Everything."

There was a sigh. "I hate my job," the Drakonian Ambassador to Tersanctus commented. He plopped down in the one of the chairs in the vast lobby entrance to the Embassy.

Seeing the entertainment was over for the night the various Embassy staffers and military protectors dispersed. It was several minuted before Adrian Zues spoke again, excepting of course some rather loud and angry mubblings. The Deputy Ambassador waited patiently.

Then the outburst came. "There was a terrorist attack in Veii?! Is my sister all right?"

The Deputy Ambassador had expected this. "Yes, she and her family are fine. They weren't at the market at the time. She called, wanting to talk to you, just after it happened. Of course, I couldn't get a hold of you and neither could she, because your cell phone was laying on the side of the highway...."

Adrian did not need reminding. He stood and started to rapidly make his way across the lobby. "I'll take care of the rest of this, after I call her. Don't bother me, until then."

That did not stop the protestation from the Deputy Ambassador. "But, Ambassador, what about the trial? You were supposed to make a statement!" Adrian did not stop his brisk pace. "And, what about the...."

It was going to be a busy day

*Xavier drew up the phone, nodding into it though no one else would see him in the room*

"Very well then...." He said, clicking the reciever off, motioning his guards to follow behind him as he heads down the hall to the unbugged and unmonitored room, presumably for meetings just like this. He strode into the room, meeting the solitary man, the guards patrolling the halls outside, as Xavier blinked in suprise. He had met the man once or twice when conducting negotiations and was suprised to see him here, outlined int he darkness as the light lit up the area near the phone, his face slightly hidden.

"Care to tell me what is going on, then? Who is Clarke, and how the devil did all this come about?" he asks, his voice deadly soft, eyes steel-like.*

The unseen man, rather vaguely lit up a ciggrette, the light from the match lighting up his face for a split second. It was Shawn Kinder, a player of sorts in various Tersanctan political circles. But he had enough influence to keep the SGC at bay.

"Clarke is selling out this country too some people that the best of our technology cannot trace. In fact it seems that he wants too sell out the United Emirates, or at least Menelmacar. Though it is well known, at least internally, that Tersanctus objects too Lady Siri's Domineering. Better too have her as a friend, than an enemy."

"Clarkes hidden Agenda, remains just that at the moment. Hidden." he said Vaguely.

"It is an internal move for power while keeping the rest of the populace in the dark, dont let the right hand know what the left one is doing, so too speak. Right now, we are playing along, until we know more, and at the same time, keep Edmund safe. The SGC are ruthless. Ex-Templar, and Ex-Special Forces, these men are the best of the best. They know the Department methods and procedures backwards and forwards, the only hope we have is too get Edmund too Crownguard. Your country is still relatively unknown inside the Senate, and Edmund's Friendship to you, Xavier, remains also somewhat unknown. These are factors, upon which we depend for Edmunds, Our True Executor, survival."

**The Tercero nodded, slowly leaning back as he thought to himself for a few moments, before coming up with a somewhat risky, but plasuible plan to do this.

"My imperial bodyguards have spare suits that custom fit to the wearers...they are a standard backup should the old armor take a beating....the helm and visor will protect his face from sight. He could accompany my guard out of the country aboard my jet, and we wll return to Crownguard. I already have annoyed the SGC with my actions. I confronted two of the bloody fools who shot a man down near the exit of the Seante chambers, along the back halls. They seemed paranoid and triggerhappy that I found them. perhaps it can be investigated. After we return to Crownguard, I will mobilize my own forces to be prepared for any contigency. The Eyes shall be put to your disposal as well, should you wish. You willr ecall they served as spies in the Al Anbari war."

He stops, sighing to take a deep breath, hating this.

"At any rate, Edmund can accompany my retinue as a "guard" until such a time we can get him out, and it is expedient. Agreed?"

He looked the man over, gauging his reaction**

One of the Marines looked up, and then back at his counterpart. Both were low ranking officers, and despite the fact that they wore their dress clothes, each carried an M45 Rifle. The older looking of the two nodded, pressed a button on the desk infront of him, and the door clicked, opening slightly.

As the man stepped in, an older looking male, who seemed worn from years of manual labor, now in an office, looked up. Another man, sitting in a large leather chair at the side of the room stood. He walked up to the man, and extended a friendly hand. "Sean Ryan Fisher, ICIA. i'm the one your really here to meet. Ambasador Cortez here is just providing the office."

With that, he walked over to a wall, tugged on a book, and a visible door next to the desk opened. Fisher kept the book, and entered the room. The lock was actually under Cortez's desk.

Fisher lead the man into the room, and sat in a seat behind a simple oak desk. "So what can I do for ya?"

"The DIA is redeploying more assents here and to Glorious Humanity. So maybe we'll be able to find out what really is going on." The Deputy Ambassador was still a bit skeptical if there really was anything going on 'under the table' other than the usual political manuevering, but Ambassador Adrian Zues had seen the manuevering as something more; something to be worried about. His concerns had been voiced to those in charge in Drakonia.

"Good," the Amdassador replied. "How soon can we expect the extra help?"

The Deputy looked down at the Computer Tablet in his hand and tapped it a couple of times with his stylus. "First agents should be flying out in an hour, from Oregius, Drakonia, and Isla de Penguinata. Others should be flying out from the Raem Protectorate and New Iona, in the next couple of days."

"Isn't that going to be obvious," Adrian asked. "So many Drakonians flying in from different locations to go into 'diplomatic' work?"

The other man shrugged. "Nothing more than usual and most of them won't be flying in to do 'diplomatic' work. They'll just be more of the usual civilian traffic between Drakonia and Tersanctus. Nothing out of the ordinary."

"At least, on the surface."

The Deputy Ambassador smiled. "Exactly."
