OOC: I'm back baby, been too long.
IC:
It was quiet for most of the day. There had been no recent Gamelon activity, and the Alcubierre-Broeck warp queue between Sol Nova Sanctum and Sol had finally been completed. A large sensor/security net had been set up in orbit around Nova Sanctum, so most of the planet had fallen into a decent sense of security, and, with trade soon to be established with Earth-based nations, it would mean catching up on over 200 years of lost technology. Yes, everything seemed to be in order.
Thn it appeard. Well, not so much appeared as it came into sensor range. A long, cylindrical object, approimately 150 meters in length, seemingly decellerating towards the Nova Sanctum planet. Scans revealed it was a crude device, constructed mainly of things like silicon and titanium, but what was troublesome was that the object was highly radioactive.
The object finally came to a stop and rested in a geosynchronis orbit around Nova Sanctum. It had obviously been sent specifically to this planet, but with no nearby inhabited planets, one wondered where it could have been sent from. With such a rad count, it couldn't be from a very advanced civilization. It seemed appropriate for a science team to be dispactched.
Still, most of the planet seemed tense. It had been decades since anyt major contact with outsiders, as the planet had become entirely self sufficient. Either way, a message was sent out over the QET network, and the Alcubierre-Broeck queues at Sol were open to privateers, to observe the examination of the craft first hand. If anything, this would prove to be an interesting find.
