After the abandonment of Zithal and the sale of Xanthalian Earth earlier this year, Xanthal has released initial plans for a new presence in the Sol system. Currently, the Socialist Republic plans to construct an Excursion class starship to serve as Xanthal's permanent base of operations in the Sol system. Future plans will call for a station, but the type of establishment Xanthal wishes to build has not been finalized yet. Until plans are complete for the new station (currently being called the Mega Station), an Excursion class starship will fill the position. That ship is expected to be in place within the next five years.
