You can usually find Storefronts in either Nationstates or International Incidents within the Forum. Check on http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=Armed%20russian%20maffia&defenseprovided=1&defense=20&militarybudget=1 to see if you have money, then say "Please can I order this and this and this, here's the money."

You can not buy these things in any way with any of the game functions. Read the FAQ for any other questions, it's a good read for new people. Otherwise you can post questions here and people may answer them. Hope this helped.

First off, everything outside of the basic nation screen w/ outstanding issues is handled by Roleplaying in the forums. Check one of the stickies in the NationStates or Internation Incidents forums, theyll explain RPing if you dont know already.

Now, how to buy 'stuff'. In general, the older, more advanced nations with powerful economies will set up "storefronts", where they'll post the goods they have for sale. Some nations deal in modern technology, some in future, and the occasional nation will sell roman infantry armor for those truly hoping to be crushed.

Since theres no built in function saying how big your nation's budget is, you have to use common sense or one of the handy GDP(gross domestic product) calculators floating around in the forums to figure it out. For example, a country with an "basket-case" economy will not be able to afford 10 bajillionzillion nuclear missles. They can buy some assualt rifles to equip their soldiers, but not much else.

Thats the basics, kinda. Like I said, read the sticky topics, they are quite informative.

I'm here to help. Let me give you the lowdown. First of all, you should read the stickies in the sections gameplay and international incidents. These contain the rules and a ton of other stuff. Also, to buy stuff you need money. How do you get money, well you don't. Money is fake. The older your nation is, the more money you are assumed to have. Now you can't have nukes until your population reaches 100 million. It's a rule. Also, don't godmod. Read what is godmoding in the international incidents section ('What godmoding is' is a sticky. It's at the top of the thread.) Also, you might want to get a friend from school/work/whatever so that you can play together. It's so much more fun!

So to answer your question, you buy stuff with money, which you gain after a while. Don't say you have like 1 trillion dollars or anything. You're still a N00B. Therefore, don't go around buying everything in site. This is godmoding. So umm, I hope this answers your question. If you have any other questions, just TG (telegram) me.
