[NOTICE: Please do not use this poll anymore as it has some technical difficulties. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. All votes cast here have been recorded. There is a new poll UNSC Poll 1: How many Directors? II that has been posted. Thank you

Provisional Board of the United Nations Space Consortium

This poll will be open for 7 days, through Sunday, March 7.

Remember to also vote in the other Provisional Board Poll, “UNSC Poll 2: How long should Director’s serve?” and to nominate your choice for Board Director at “Nominations for Directors of the UNSC”.

We admit that the choices here are somewhat arbitrary. We looked at a number of boards and commissions and tried to arrive at something reasonable. There obviously has to be an odd number. A huge, congress-sized body would be way too unwieldy for a board of this type. We would expect that, after the Board is installed, the number of Directors can be modified.

All proceedings of the Provisional Board are brought to you by the Region of Texas.

Please the post for the Provisional Board:

We're leary about the board becoming too large. The BoD should be small enough that concensus can be achieved quickly, but large enough that a range of ideas are presented. A total of twenty-five might be too large. The RCS is in favor of a 9 or 15 member board with a single chairman.

Alrindor believes that a maximum of 25 directors should be appointed, but there needs to be at least 10 for proper decision making.

here let me give you some advice, i am presently in the middle of Sorting out NWO Council stuff, Becareful as members will attempt to power grab, have some form of way to make sure the Chairman can allways be overrulled if need be, and some form of justice system would be a good idea.

The Rogue Nation of Greenspoint would be in favor of a 21 member board.

Many a famous philosopher has argued that the best road lies in the middle of two extremes, and again Sophista finds itself following this ideal. To that end, we support a 15 member panel, and would strongly oppose anything too large or too small. Nine is as small as we would compromise, twenty-one as large.

The RCS concurrs with our esteemed collegue from Dr. Twist. The chairman should not be allowed to dominate the opinions of the board to such an extent that the majority wishes of the board are allowed to be routinely dismissed.
