The Red Bears, after going the first six games of this competition without defeat, are keen to get on board for next year. We're fairly sure of disappointment at any moment now, but the semi-pro side hope to achieve a slight ranking boost ahead of the next cup.

Oh boy! - a chance to both sign up for the next Cherry Cup and apolgize for my lack of participation in the current one!

The Iansisle Gulls will participate in the next playing, and hopefully, their owner will see fit to participate as well!

Liverpool England is back.

Out of curiosity, how is this going to work? Will it RPed or are we going to use a "fantasy draft" from one of those NHL video games? The "NHL" part threw me off.

(I believe it is roleplayed with the help of a rank-based random number generator (correct? I'm hardly an authority here..). And I think 'NHL' stands for 'NationStates Hockey League.')

My bad then. Anyway, put me down as I am a huge hockey fan.

The Cassowaries have been in too much of a stupour to post match reports, but nevertheless will try a fifth tilt at the Cherry windmill.

As long as someone besides Belmore runs it, and the others accept Daistallia 2104 as the sucessor state to Daistallia (as per my current RP status...), I would love to play. Otherwise, disregard me and enjoy. :D

I dont see what youre problem is Daistalla, The Belmore family has done an excellent job of running this tournament and have been nothing short of excellent in their handling so far as i've seen.

Yeah, we're a tropical country, but who cares, we'd be more than willing to try this "ice" hockey you speak of.

Hell, we'd even host the event. It would give us an excuse to build a few rinks in the nation.

The Get Along Gang League '04 Eddie Shore Cup Champions, the Nilanville Knuckles (victors in 7 hard-fought games over the Schultztown Hammers) "respectfully" send a bid to play for the Cherry Cup. :x

We are in the offices of the Druid Government, and we walk past the office of the Minister for Sport, Leisure, Arts and Dossing About, Trevor Brookley. There are two voices coming from inside, Brookley and his good friend the Minister for Lost Things. The door is slightly ajar, and we look inside. They are talking about a copy od The Daily Belmorian that the Minister for Lost Things is reading.

MfLT: "...anyway, the point was, he wasn't that Alan Belmore at all, it was a completely different one!!!"

TB: "Minister, you really know how to tell 'em! Heh... er, well, can we look at the sports bit now. It is my job, after all."

MfLT: "OK"

He passes the paper to Brookley, who opens it up.

TB: "Minister"

MfLT: "A-ha?"

TB: "I think I've found the solution to one of your problems."

MfLT: "Oh yes?"

TB: "Well, you know that field hockey team of ours that keeps losing? And they got you to look into why it was? Well look at this..."

The Minister for Lost Things walks over.

MfLT: "What are they wearing on their feet? And why is their ball flat?"

TB: "Don't you see, Minister? That's where we've been going wrong all this time. We've been thinking that hockey is for playing on grass, and that's why we lose. you see? It's supposed to be done on ice! And instead of using a ball, you use a..." (he looks at the report) "...a puck. There's a whole international tournament at it called the..." (he looks again) "...Cherry Cup."

MfLT: "And..."

TB: "Well... can't you see? We're bound to do quite well if we enter, because it's the opposite to what we're bad at. It's like our football team is bad, yet our handball team are pretty good."

MfLT: "So you think we'd be good?"

TB: "Of course we will! And it'll be a bit less work for yourself to worry about if we are, too. So, I'll get our entry in straight away."

Brookley sets off towards the door to get the Druid entry in, so we will leave them, just so we don't look too suspicious.

To put that another way, NEWI Cefn Druids would like to enter.
