Welcome to Gregor Fortifications, a subsidiary of Gregor Shipyards. We specialize in selling defensive units, after all, what good is an uber-fleet, if while its off conquering foreign barbarians, your nation is left defenseless for any uppity third world nation with a nuke? Also be sure to visit Gregor shipyards, for the previously mentioned uber-fleet. Oh, and first time buyers get 5% off of their purchase.

Fortresses: Immense constructs meant to guard vital locations, such as planets, shipyards, naval bases, etc. fortresses are generally stationary, although all are equipped with impellers, and can manage a low acceleration. Each fortress is a weapon-studded sphere of metal, capable of fending off all but the largest and most dedicated attacks, as the energy weapons are each are more powerful individually then a superdreadnought's. Weapons are distributed evenly along the hull, divided into six sectors. Each fort comes with two free squadrons of LACs (12).

~The most massive fortress in our navy, there is only one currently in existence, it is in direct orbit over Vernii's capital, serves as Gregor Defence Command, and it's model is now available for sale. It mounts twice the armament of the standard Guardian, the equivalent of twenty battleships. What enemy crewmen wouldn't shudder at the sight of this sphere of death? An insane and probably soon to be dead one.
Monitors: So the enemy is afraid to approach your forts huh? Well then, take the fight to them with system defence monitors. Each monitor is a dreadnought with its hyper generators removed, replaced with an extra fusion generator for it's energy weapons and shields, expanded magazine space for its missiles, and more armor.
Vanguard class monitor

Length (Meters): 3,000
Maximum Beam: 375

Minelayers: Minelayers are battlecruisers with their missile tubes replaced by mine launchers. The mines themselves are modified laser-head warheads, which have an attack range of 20,000 kilometers, and emit practically no energy emissions, making them hard to detect. Imagine the looks on your enemy's face when their shiney new attack fleet blunders right into hundreds of mines. Production rights and blueprints for laser-head mines come with each minelayer.
Charon class minelayer
Mass (Tons): 3,750,000
Length (Meters): 1,650
Maximum Beam: 225
Maximum Height: 210

Mine Launchers : 16 per broadside, 2 aft
CM Launchers: 10 per broadside, 2 bow
PD Laser Clusters: 15 per broadside, 2 per chase
Parasite Complement: 3 shuttles or pinnaces

Asteroid Base
http://img24.photobucket.com/albums/v73/Jadeite/base.jpg

Parasite Complement: 20 shuttle sized craft
Standard Armament:
20 Missile tubes per side
6 150cm Grasers per side
10 90cm Lasers per side
Price: $30 billion
~These defensive emplacements are quicker to construct then a fortress. Tugs select an asteroid of the appropriate size and manuever it into position near whatever it is meant to protect. Engineers then hollow out the interior, adding in magazines, fire control and command facilities, and crew habitats. Then they work outward, adding in boat bays and weapons emplacements, along with shield generators and sensors. The base design carries the firepower of a Sultan class battlecruiser in each fire arc.
