2nd Lt. Murav looks outside of his cockpit and into the crisp blue sky around him. He looks back down into the cockpit of his F-14 Tomcat and checks his Passive radar. He is patrolling an airspace marked with repeated and intense dogfights, labeled C-666, no pun intended. He eases his stick to the right and glances down at the seemingly endless blue ocean. His peacfeul daydreaming is suddenly intterupted by a blaring warning signal. His head snaps back to his cockpit and in a few seconds he his diving towards the ocean, attempting avoid an incoming missile - fired from nearly 5 miles away by an as yet undetected aircraft. As he dives he flips from passive radar to active, and in a few moments he spots the enemy aircraft on his radar.
"King 6, this is Bravo-02," Murav spoke calmly into his mic after keying the radio, "Minimum one boggie on the inbound sector 15-11, range approx. 4 miles."
"Bravo-02, King 6. Standby," repliead the airbase radio operator. In a few minutes his voice comes back, "We have help on the way coming in south of your position. ETA is 2 minutes. Out"
