This is yet another reference thread. It is closely related to the NationStates Super Thread, but there is one difference. The Super Thread contains many links and is sorted by subject. This thread gets deeper into information and is sorted alphabeticly. Both are recommend to view and if you submit something relavent to both threads, it will appear in both threads. Now I should answer a few questions.

Question: What is the NationStates Encyclopedia?
Answer: The NationStates Encyclopedia is a reference of things of NationStates.

Question: What goes in the NationStates Encyclopedia?
Answer: Everything - well, almost everything. Definitions of terms, descriptions of nations, descriptions of regions, descriptions of organizations/alliances, descriptions of major characters, etc...

Question: What is the difference between the NationStates Encyclopedia and the NationStates Super Thread?
Answer: Not much, actually. The NationStates Super Thread is another handy reference, but like I said in the Introduction, the Super Thread is sorted by subject and the Encyclopedia is sorted alphabetically. Some things should go in the NationStates Encyclopedia, some things should go in the NationStates Super Thread, and some things should go in them both. You don't have to submit an entry in both threads - I automatically copy articles that fit both threads.

.::How to Submit an Article::.
It's very simple. You just put the heading at the top and the body text below it in a post in either this thread or the Super Thread. The heading contains what term, nation, region, alliance, character, etc... it will be filed iin and the body text contains the description. Please only post appropriate stuff, though.

# Series Aircraft, The
The M#, the X#, the G#, and the K# are considered by some to be the epitomy of air-dominance-aircraft, spacecraft, fighter-bombers, and strike craft. With the capability to pull between 22gs (G#, fully laden) and 28gs (X#, fully laden) - between -22g (G#) and -30g (X#) when on a towards-Earth-vector - without killing their pilots, the # series (pronounced 'Sharp', as in the musical notation) is not only full of boast, but is entirely tried and tested in combat scenarios. Acting as the 'leading edge' of EOTED rapid-response operations, the # series has seen active service in several theatres, including the Shadow War and the War of Survival.

The pilot is protected from the ravages of g-forces by a dual system; firstly, the pilot is submerged in PFC (perfluorocarbon), and breathes in a liquid environment far more suitable for the stresses and difficulties of fast-paced air/space combat. Secondly, the pilot is held in place by special 'EM harnessing', which acts upon strategically placed metallic strips that are fitted onto a water-filled/solid double-unit pressure suit.

They are all sleek, and have very recognisable silhouettes (sp?) - forward-and-back swept wings, that loop around in a manner similar to the claws of a scorpion, and have absolutely nothing to do with her flight dominate the shape of all but the X#; they generally have blunt noses, and a chubby, chunky - but curved - rear. The X# has no wings whatsoever, shunning them in favour of a newer rear-engine internal mount system, and sacrificing firepower somewhat in the process.

Buried in the 'wings' of the M#, K#, and G# are one (well, two) of EOTEDs proudest achievements: a superconductive coil per wing powers the all of the, giving them an extended service time of oughly two years normal service (IE, no firing). In combat, this translates as about nine hours straight action without EF weapon usage; six hours with EF cannon usage, depending on the level of use and intensity of combat.

Also occupying the wings are tactical/strategic AIs, designed to augment the pilot and bring the true capacity of the # series to life; without partial AI control, the # series aircraft have little more ability than your average aircraft. [See Empire of The Eternal Dawn, The]

A quaint and small country, it was mainly settled by two waves of immigrants: the Sang Saus and the Aboriginies. The Sang Saus settled along the coastal areas with the Aboriginies holding the desert areas. Several centuries passed with these two factions never really growing a good liking to each other until the rise of Chief Wiggin Watts, whom brokered the Treaty of Charleston Cliffs, which helped to establish the Dominion of Adderton.

Since that treaty, several changes have taken place within the country. The Aboriginies have switched from herding only mustangs to cows, thereby creating a ranching industry that gave a mighty boom to Adderton's economy. The Althing has evolved to the Parliment, with the House of Lords changed to the Barony House, in order to accomodate with the pace of the modern day. A system of railroads was established in the interior of the country in order to link up the two coastlines as one national econmy. There also has been a growth within the Aboriginie community as several wealthy ranchers and railroad barons founded the frameworks of the Union Party, which currently holds the majority in Parliment. Adderton, the Republic of
The state before the Dominion, it was mainly organized as a by product from the Alice Spring War between the Watts Faction and the Moorland Faction. The Republic of Adderton was a democratic state with the various leaders of the Adderton tribes meeting twice every month to pass laws and mediate domestic conflicts between various individuals/tribes. The Republic of Adderton ended around 1888 when the Wesport Negotiations was started between the Sang Saus on uniting the country as a whole. [see: Adderton, the Dominion of]

Adderton Road, The
A 580 long railroad cutting through the Great Barrens, linking Adderton to the coastal cities of Wesport and Sauport. There are approximately 20 railorad stations located on this road with much of the stops surrounded by ranches or small desert communities. It has been mentioned that the Adderton Road is the 'lifeblood' of the Dominion. [see: Adderton, the Dominion of]

Agents, The
The Agents are a powerful group shrouded in mystery, tasked with defending Cyberutopia and her allies. There were twenty original Agents, but rumors have been circulating that there may be as few as eleven now. Few of their exploits are well known, but those that are include the solution of the Cyberutopian Incident and the liberation of several death camps during Cortez's reign. Their weapons are highly advanced over the normal military's and many other nation's militaries. It is rumored they have paranormal ablilites, such as extreme acrobatics including dodging bullets and mastery of the psychics, but no conclusive evidence has been brought forth to prove such fantastical claims. Their common appearance is that of a figure donning black light armor, a facemask studded with sensors, and a pale gray cloak. Even if every shred of information about the Agents is falsified in order to better secret their true nature, one thing is certain: they are not to be trifled with. [see Cyberutopia]

Allied States of EuroIslanders (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_region/region=Allied%20States%20of%20EuroIslanders)
Approximately the 28th largest region in NationStates, founded by Eurosoviets.

The region boasts an all-encompassing democracy which utilises many aspects of Ancient Athenian radical direct democracy and combines it with revolutionary socialist ideals.

Her members are expected to take part in as many regional affairs as they can manage.

Athamasha (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=athamasha), The Flaxen Community of
A relatively old but fairly isolated nation devoted to pursuing internal perfection. Athamashan politics have been dominated by the Socialist Party since the nation's conception, although other parties certainly have had no small effect on the process of the Community. The name "Flaxen Community" reflects the ideological bent of the nation: Flaxenism, a home-grown philosophy based around older Neo-Sydicalist thought. The Community has an avowedly pacifist nature and absolutely refuses to participate in any armed conflicts unless attacked, in which case it will use its titanic nuclear arsenal. Athamashans come in a few different ethnic groups which have remarkably managed to attain a fair level of coöperation and unity despite their disperate origins.

Athamasha's UN Affairs Office also currently serves as the delegate for The Mediterranean.

The geography of the Community is fairly monotonous: flat, green parkland surrounding a few titanic cities. Despite the size of each city, no city actually has any power whatsoever, the whole government is run by Unitary Voting.

Famous Athamashans include Lev Feinstein, Flaxenist philosopher, Jane Gallagher, chair of the Socialist Party for dozens of years, Michael Horowitz, Free Democrat leader and acclaimed writer, Prc. Usao Pastecxoj, leader of the armed forces of Athamasha, and Rectorius Turris, creator of the Athamashan legal system.

Ongoing battles within the country include attempts to cut taxes and crime while deciding whether to remain isolated or branch out.

After a few decades of anarchy on what one day had been the territory of the Argentinian Republic, the people of the city of Bariloche and its inmediations started to spontaneously create communal groups of production.

With the passing of more than 50 years the relations became more complex and the territory involved covered more than two of what used to be argentinian provinces and even crossed the Andes involving several cities of the previously chilean territory.

When the population of all this areas exceded the 5 million inhabitants, and political estructures started to appear, a lider appear within the masses: Nicolás Bernal, he lead a movement that had as objective the creation of a government that would organize all the territory and with the passing of time create a direct democracy that would allow the communal structures to survive without the power falling in the hands of what could become to be a corrupt government.

Today, almost three generations after this events, the movement is still going and the current leader is Pablo Bernal, Nicolás grandson is striving to reach a more participative democracy. Bariloche has already more than 125 million inhabitants and has claimed territories beyond the original "de facto" borders. The economy is well, the government allowed all communal structures to continue, and the country has entered the international community by making alliances with other previously argentinian territories, entering the UN and also the Legion of Defense. Baron Counter Terrorist Organisation
The Baron Counter Terrorist Organisation is an intra-regional and international intelligence and rapid-reaction force created with the specific aim of combating terrorism. Initiated by Chimaean Governor Bryce, it has developed into an independant body which can call upon resources from all signatory nations. [see Empire of Baron, the]

Baron Intervention Organisation
An organisation consisting of several powerful Empire of Baron nations for the specific purposes of providing military and emergency aid to crisis situations in other nations, actively defending civil and human rights across the globe through military interventions and progressing member-nation interests. [see Empire of Baron, the]

Barrens, the Great
A 580 acre desert landscape located in the middle of Adderton, populated by bush, joshua trees, and desert gold. Much of this land remains untamed due to the bareness of it with the only people inhabiting either being cowboys or railroad staff. [see Aderton, the Dominion of]

When South Carolina became fed up with the way the United States of America was being led, they, for the 2nd time in history, seceded from the United States. Shortly after, their good friend and neighbor, North Carolina, also seceded, at the advice of South Carolina. The two former states combined to form the country of Carolina, which has currently yet to find a home that can hold all of its citizens. The elections for president were fierce, with South Carolina governor Mark Sanford and North Carolina governor Michael F. Easley facing off. After the final vote was counted, Governor Mark Sandford had won by 2 votes. Now, he plans to lead Carolina to national prominence.

The Commonwealth of Chimaea is a nation, including various territories and autonomous regions, which lies in the Empire of Baron. Rich in culture and history, Chimaea continues to thrive as a democratic, multicultural society based on a high standard of civil and political rights and freedoms.

Its people come from all over the world; different ethnicities, religions and cultures co-existing peacefully under one flag and one name, yet retaining the unique aspects that set them apart.

The multi-trillion Sil Chimaean economy is on par with the best in the world, due to careful and responsible investments, trade and a modern, open market.

Chimaea is a strong voice of freedom and democracy in the international stage; an advocate of human rights and political freedoms, our constitution is based on a progressive and tolerant outlook. Along with other Baron nations Chimaea continues to provide aid, diplomatic and military support and a safe-haven for the cause of democracy.

The Coalition of Anti-Capitalist Economies (CACE)
With a combined population of over 56 billion people, the CACE is the largest and oldest anti-capitalist network in the NationStates world.

Whilst being primarily a trade bloc the CACE also acts a mutual defence alliance for its members and counts communists, socialists, environmentalists, anarchists, and just about any other anti-capitalist ideology that values civil rights amongst its members.

This is one of the oldest regions, dedicated to the spreading of Evil across the globe. Located at the very north of the planet, the cold, barren and hostile region is home to some of the most Evil nations on the planet.

Cyberutopia (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=cyberutopia), the Unified Socialist Republic of
The beginnings of Cyberutopia date to the Feudal Ages of Japan. During the Era of the Warring Clans, Hokkaido, seeking it's independence and looking to follow the lead of the many daimyos of the larger islands, broke off from the empire to pursue it's own future. Seeing no current importance in the desolate island, it's rebellion was largely ignored. Hokkaido wrapped itself in isolation for the next 500 years.

The nation now known as Cyberutopia arose in the year 2009, and quickly rose in the ranks of technological might. According to Cyberutopian clocks, it is now 2092. Many nations and individuals consider Cyberutopia their allies. The nation excels in education and all forms of freedoms, along with medical technology, military hardware, and information technologies. The current population is 1.882 billion and growing. Cyberutopia retains a strong economy which is heavily controlled by the government. The government is presided over by the People's Representative, who has little power and serves mainly as a spokesperson for the nation. All issues are presented to the public, and are decided upon by them. A council of Arbiters make up the judicial and legislative branch, elected by the people of each region.

One event defines recent Cyberutopia history, known mainly as the Cyberutopian Incident. An unknown aggressor incited dissenters within the nation to stage a takeover. These rebels assassinated the People's Representative and the High Admiral of the Fleets. After taking power, they imposed a strict authoritarian regime over the nation with a certain Overlord Cortez as their figurehead, but their influence reached no farther than the capital outskirts. Beyond was pure anarchy. Several nations stepped in to halt the chaos, and Cortez retaliated in full force. A nuclear device was detonated within the capital, anihillating an Aelosian army and turning most of the capital into slag. Belem is believed to be behind the nuke, but to this day denies any involvement in the crisis other than "peacekeeping purposes". Eventually the rebels and the loyalists met en masse and a massive battle ensued on the outskirts of the capital. In the confusion, the Head Commander of the Agents, Agent Four, along with the Aelosian Colonel-Commander Elfira D'nan and Thelasian General Thellas (pretty sure this is incorrect, will correct later) penetrated the enemy lines and succeded in subduing Cortez, but not before he turned his own army into scrap along with the rest of the city, and threatening the entire western portion of Cyberutopia with a large quantity of fusion explosives. Cortez was taken in, and has not been heard from since. The former Head of Defense, Duo Migashi, took the office of People's Representative, and Cyberutopia has flourished in a Golden Age henceforth. According to Drakonic historical records, the Protectorate of Drakonics was formed by the leaders of all dragon clans in order to govern dragon society as a whole. The remainders of the various dragon species left Earth by means of which are still disputed (several theories include spacecraft, magicks, and combinations of the two), after dragons were killed off almost to the brink of extinction by a growing human civilization. Dragons left Earth in one massive trip to another planet capable of supporting life but which was quite far from Earth itself; no more specific records of travel has survived the thousands of years that have passed since the Great Migration occurred. Dragon society itself was ill-equipped to handle the human threat; contrary to popular human belief dragons were not warlike and lacked the inherent aggressiveness of the human race. As a result of this dragons were not prepared to defend themselves, and were quickly decimated by hunters and "crusaders". Many of the evils apparent in human society are non-existant in dragon society; racism, greed, and hatred are among these. The Protectorate of Drakonics is run by a King (King Wartorne) and Queen (Queen Shel'Kael); although these two dragons hold supreme power over dragon society they also are advised by an Inner Circle of various Representatives which are voted in by Drakonic citizens. Drakonics are a mix of dozens of dragon subspecies; these include various main types such as Westerns, Easterns, Wyverns, and Anthromorphics, as well as many genetic mixes of all of the above and more not mentioned. The Protectorate of Drakonics takes pride in it's superior technological advances in medicine and exploration. (More specific information of any kind can be obtained by telegramming the Human Liaison via telegram to the Protectorate of Drakonics).

Drizzts Army (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=Drizzits_Army), The Free Drow Land of
The Nation of Drizzts Army was formed in 1300 when a large group of drow renegades reached an island full of resources they need to survive in their new sancutary so they could grow the renegade drow peoples to escape the UnderDark of the World.

First Contact was made with the British Navy in 1756, and the ideals of Europe reached the island after a long period of isolation. The military became modernized again, and the studies of learning, science, and medicine have been introduced to the renegade drow peoples. Years after First Contact, they fought in the Napoleonic Wars, World War 1, and World War 2 when the islands were attacked for the first time by Hitler's Luftwaffe. They remember WW2 as the struggle for survival to the nation already at war for the first time. So after the war, Drizzts Army was again in Isolation with the NATO countries, forgeting the nation with the threats of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. But in the years following the fall of the Soviet Union, Drizzts army joined the region called The Zoogie Isles which suprisingly was next door to the island nation.

Today, Drizzts Army is a strong nation in the region and still comes on the defense against the terroist group LLF (Lloth Liberation Front) because they want to overthrow the goverment and restablish the Lloth ways and relgion in the nation which would destroy the freedoms.

Earthripper, the
The Earthripper is a fabled device, the inner workings of which are sought by many. The first of it's kind was created in 2011, the first step in deterring Cyberutopia's enemies. A second followed in 2049, though its existence is denied. It's power is immense, draining five major cities of all their power for a single burst. The most common rumor of it's core mechanics is that there is at least three -- probably more -- particle accelerators buried beneath a remote island, approximately forty miles off the coast. These accelerators are flooded with trillions upon trillions of tiny particles, and accelerated to the brink of the speed of light, upon which they are released in a coherent beam into space. There in low earth orbit, several dozen satellies, basically giant floating mirrors, direct the beam towards the designated target and focus it into a more potent beam, eventually becoming a thin, amazingly dense stream of particles by the time it reaches it's target, in about .0003 seconds. Once the beam impacts, it vaporizes everything below it before it implodes, becoming a solid plasma mass for a fraction of a second before imploding again into the vacuum it has caused, then exploding outwards, utterly destroying everything within a ten mile radius and three miles downwards from the point of impact, and causing massive infrastructural damage to anything caught in the blast for 100 miles outward as well as flinging plasma and liquified rock upwards and out of orbit. The effects upon a human depend on it's distance from the blast, the most mild afflictions being instant blindness and liquidation of the skin, all the way up to vaporization and what can only be described as sixth degree burns. The Earthripper has only been fired twice, in the Tordor conflict, turning the capital of Tordor and a major city into dust. Theoretically, this weapon could significantly destabilize the Earth.

Empire of Baron (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/26491/page=display_region/region=empire_of_baron), the
The awe-inspiring Empire of Baron is a strong coalition of powerful nations who have similiar ideals, or at least have the same interests. The many economic, political and military structures and the combined resources of it's member-nations allow it to weild a large amount of power, which it uses to protect and defend its interests both within its own region and elsewhere in the world.

With Regional togetherness comes responsibility and through majority vote, the Empire of Baron have created various intra-regional and international watchdogs, aid organisations, intervention organisations and defence pacts.

Amongst these are Baron Aid, a gathering of several major governmental and non-governmental aid agencies for the distribution of aid in Baron and overseas; the Baron Counter Terrorist Taskforce which was created with the intention of providing adequate intelligence and rapid-reaction to a growing anti-Baron terrorist threat and the Baron intervention Taskforce which has the duty of performing military and humanitarian intervention within and without the Empire of Baron.

The Empire of Baron has survived internal and external conflict, including a nuclear exchange, and numerous disasters. Throughout these, the peoples of the nations of Baron have held out and helped each other in the spirit of friendship. Empire of The Eternal Dawn, the
The Empire of The Eternal Dawn is, from border to border, over three thousand miles in 'breadth'. The land is, however, 65% uninhabitable, due to the propensity towards mountainous terrain in the North.

The capital city of the Empire is - highly scenic - Nenya, situated in the nation of Ma-Nenya, and has a growing population of over 300million souls. Nenya nestles against the Bay of Turath in the South, and against the Lake Nenya in the North. To the North of the Lake are the so-called Forbidding Mountains, home to a small population of - modernized - nomadic 'towns' of Nenyans, whom live the way that Nenyans once did, pre-First Empire years. The Empire largely ignores them, allowing them to preserve their customs. Also in the mountains are the Western Sentinels, great two hundred metre tall defence towers that guard the western sea border. They were originally built to deter naval invasions.

Nenya is, by and large, the most beautiful place in the Empire. It is built into an ancient forest, and the city maintains a harmonious existance with the natural environment around it; indeed, one finds it tremendously difficult to even see Nenya on an inbound flight. This is partly due to the propensity of greens and browns; although the odd bronze-coloured building can be seen glinting in the Sun. This is also due to the ban on any building in Nenya being taller than two stories, a ban which extends Empire-wide following the Great Storms of the preceding century - storms which killed many thousands of people due to a combination of shoddy construction and over-bearing great tall behemoths of buildings which served only to be egotistical and categorically impossible to maintain.

The second capital is Tek, capital of Ma-tek, situated against the Eastern Shore of the Bay of Turath. Tek the smallest of the three 'capital' cities of the Empire; it only has a population of thirty-six million. Having said that, however, it is the second most densley populated, to Nenya. Tek is only thirty-nine square miles in size; that makes density level of close to one million people per square mile. Tek is largely bronze in colour, however, there are also grey and green buildings - these are mostly government buildings, however, and are also not open to the public with the exception of Imperial House (Ma-tek Division) and Citizens House (Ma-tek Division).

Turath is the largest city in the Empire, with more than 500million souls. It is also the largest geographically; it stretches along close to 1,000 miles of coast, from the upper tip of the Bay of Turath to the Sea in the South. Turath is highly industrialized, like all three capital cities, but is also the most economically rich of the three cities. It is not a tourist destination, however - unlike Tek and Nenya, which attract millions of tourists every year. The edge of the city is dominated by the 'Ag Lands', where hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of Imperial Citizens work during their 'agricultural service' of three years. Ag-service is mandatory in the Empire, and provides the food for all two billion inhabitants of the Empire of The Eternal Dawn (may it last forever!). The Ag Lands are, however, quite ugly, for the most part; fields after fields of corn crops and wheat, barley, cabbages, and cauliflower, and all manner of crops. There are also pastoral fields, of course; these are situated at the far side of the Ag Lands, but not at the edge of their domain. At the edge lie the Orchard Lands; field after field of glorious fruit trees, with lakes and canals linking them together. These are widely considered to be most beautiful, and can be seen on many a postcard sold in the Empire. The Southern Tip region of Turath is newly-built, due to a nanotech disaster in that area of the city a few years ago; the region of the city was entirely destroyed in that incident. Similarily - like the other two cities - the entire near-coast region is also largely rebuilt, following the Nargothrond Incident during the War of Survival against Morgoth and his ilk.

The Empire is, politically, a democracy. It is, however, what may be classified as a socio-imperialist democracy. That is, we have an Emperor; but we also have autonomous People-owned government in the form of Citizens House and Imperial House.

Citizens House has three Divisions; Ma-Nenya Division, Ma-tek Division, and Ax-turath Division. Citizens House is 25% elected and 75% selected by lottery from the population over 40 years of age, excluding Nenyans, who must be over 100 years of age in order to serve their Political Service. Political Service is mandatory at the whim of the Political Lottery. Citizens House is the Constitutional Branch of EOTED government.

Imperial House also has three Divisions, also Ma-Nenya Division, Ma-tek Division, and Ax-turath Division. Imperial House is 75% elected and 25% selected from the population over 40 years of age, excluding Nenyans, who must be over 100 years of age in order to serve their Political Service. Imperial House is the Legislative Branch of EOTED government.

The Executive Council (one Council, one Empire) is composed of: the Emperor; the Queen of Ma-Nenya; the High Lord of Ma-tek; the High Lady of Ax-turath; and the High Lord and High Lady of the Sol Orbital Colony of Vilya Elenosto. Any action taken by the EC must come via unanimous vote (seven 'Yea's).

The Judicial Branch is seperated into three disproportionate judiciary-only courts; the Environmental Court, Criminal Court, and the Economic Court.

The Imperial Environmental Court (or EnC for short, as it is generally referred to) is responsible for ensuring that EOTED industry does not encroach on the environment beyond the 'sustainable level'. 45% of the judges are elected by joint election by the Imperial House and Citizens House; the remaining 55% are selected by the Executive Council. The EnC may not pass new laws or adjust existing ones (that being the 'job' of the Legislative Branch); it may only enforce existing laws. It can, however, with a super-majority decision of 75%-for, request a change of law/adjustment of law from Imperial House.

The Imperial Criminal Court pursues matters of criminal punishment. There are only three CC judges; all are selected by the Executive Council. They don't have very much work to do. The CC may not pass new laws or adjust existing ones. It cannot change law, nor can it create law. It does not have the power to request adjustment/change of law from Imperial House.

The Imperial Economic Court oversees Imperial Trade Conglomerate policy. The Imperial Trade Conglomerate is responsible for all economic activity inside EOTED; the EcC ensures that the ITC (an autonomous corporation owned by the Emperor) does not act illegally, and acts only in the socio-economic interest of the Empire as a whole.

It should be noted that we do not have a Constitution; our 'Constitution' is underwritten via previous passed laws. It is, therefore, a highly complicated and complex system; this does, unfortunatley, make Citizens House' job very difficult.

The Emperor and His Executive Council possess the power of veto over all other branches of Government, but only with a unanimous vote.

The Emperor also possesses the power of Imperial Decree; an Imperial Decree may enact any law or action that the Emperor wishes, but, as a power-limiting measure, it may never be repealed (altered by Imperial Decree #221 (the first in Imperial history to be put to an Empire-wide referendum): an Imperial Decree may only be repealed with a unanimous vote of all divisions of the Two Houses AND the unanimous support of the Executive Council).

Although the geographic region of Eredron has been populated by man for thousands of years, it was not until twelve hundred years ago that a distinct national entity arose on the Eredron mainland. Now known as the First Kingdom of Eredron, it was created by the uniting of the various tribes that inhabited the eastern coastline of Eredron by King Lehir. The First Kingdom lasted for approximately one hundred years, before disease left the empire in ruin; over seventy thousand people are estimated to have died, including King Lehir III.

Although the First Kingdom continued to exist in some fashion for the next fifty years, warring factions within the Kingdom caused it to split into several city-states that vied for control of the mainland for two hundred years. It was during this time that a group of Eredrons left the southern shore of Eredron and arrived at the small island now called Ariin.

A thousand and fifty years ago, the city-states of Eredro(now New Eredron) and Jirac formed a second Kingdom, under the rule of two Consuls from the head of each city-state's ruling family. A relatively primitive legislative body was created from the merchant class of these two cities. This second Kingdom lasted for four hundred years, until it had engulfed the entire mainland and begun expanding onto the island of For'los. By this time, the two Consul-leadership had given way to one Consul, and the parliamentary assembly had slowly become a Senate.

The first great war in Eredron history arose approximately six hundred years ago, when Eredron colonists landed on the northern coast of Ariin and encountered the inhabitants of Ariin; a brief fight broke out, that led to the War of Supremacy. It was during this war that island of Ariin was declared a colonial possession of the then-Holy Republic of Eredron, with the Ariin government allowed to keep its position, with limited powers. Five hundred years ago, the Dominion and Principalities of Eredron was officially created. The Ariin government was forced to renounce any claims of sovereignty, and Ariin was forced to accept the Eredron Senate of Majorities as their Protector, with the Lord Consul Supreme acting as Lord Overseer.

Although minor independence movements continued to form for the next two hundred years, Ariin had largely been culturally assimilated by the end of the last century. The first Ariin senator was elected eighty-five years ago, although long-standing statutes prohibit anyone of Ariin descent to hold the position of Consul Supreme.

Today, the Confederated Republic now includes Eredron and four unincorporated principalities, and a growing faction calling for increased imperialism.

The Republic of Essenia, a relatively new nation, was founded by a group of settlers distressed over what they termed "capitalistic hate and imperialism". Its people swiftly moved to the Island of Free Freedom, where their ideals seemed to fit in. Taking a large stretch of land in between the Worker's Republic of Darranack and the Armed Socialist Republic of Militanar, they began the process of nation-building. Their philosophy is expressed acutely in Essenia's motto: "Peace And Justice For All Human Beings," the key world being all.

Some Militanarans thought the land was theirs, and the Government of Militanar, in a show of solidarity with the new nation, sold a long stretch of land in the far south of Militanar to Essenia. This, too, enraged many Militanarans, but the anger had no real effect on anything.

Essenia is a multiparty representative democracy, with a bicameral Parliament composed of the Senate and the Assembly. Both Houses of Parliament have 250 delegates. The Senate's delegates are elected from 250 districts re-formed every election to ensure equality of population. Senatorial elections are held using instant runoff voting. The Assembly's delegates are elected proportionally from party lists, allowing greater diversity of opinion than the Senate.

There are four major parties in Essenia: the Labor Party (left-libertarian), the Populist Party (left-authoritarian), the Libertarian Party (right-libertarian), and the Conservative Democratic Party (right-authoritarian). The UN classifies it as a Left-Wing Utopia, a classification that most citizens are proud of.

With the destruction of Essenia's embassy in the recent Militanaran riots, many challenges are expected to follow as Essenia's first major foreign policy venture - deposing the new rightist regime there - begins.

It is the year 203 A.E currently (1 RL day= 1 NS year). Our calendar was changed to the creation of of our nation. In the year 135 B.E., persecuted Christians in the Balkan area were being mass exterminated. They decided to flee to what is now modern day Yugoslavia (the heart of Euroslavia). They banned together to form The People's Republic of Euroslavia. In a series of wars between the old republic of Greece and the people's republic of euroslavia, their freedom was threatened, but thanks to its new found allies, the Italians, they were able to repel the attacks, and the war ended around 2 B.E. The nation wasn't officially recognized until the year 1 A.E.

Since then, there have been a series of wars with the Croatians and Bosnians, and these countries were annexed into the Empire of Euroslavia. Peace was finally achieved between all three integrated nations around 100 A.E. and the name of the nation was changed to the United Freedom Forces of Euroslavia.

A revolution by former enemy Ulan Baator took place in 170A.E., in which a fake Sultan took the throne of Euroslavia, thus uniting both nations into a Communist Mongolian Empire. Euroslavia ceased to exist for the next 5 years, until it was freed from their rule by a coup d'etat put into effect by Euroslavia's former allies. Since 175A.E., Euroslavia has re-emerged as a world power, and continues to act as a mediator in many wars within a certain radius of the nation.

In the year 198 A.E., war was declared against the regions of GCON and A Corp for its foolish plan on destroying the UN. The war never actually occured, and a cooling off took place between all regions within the conflict. Relations were re-established with GCON in 201A.E. and the current President, Roger Lawrence, hopes that a final peace will come out of this. Euroslavia still maintains its Christian roots and is a powerful influence within its government.

The Dominion is a large country located on the continent of Forlorn Hope- a continent the size of Antarctica in the central and south pacific. The entire country- including the citizen/shareholders- are all assets of an international corporation known as Evil Overlord Enterprises. EOE is wholly owned by the Evil Overlord, and all of the major government ministers are executives in the corporation.

Evil Overlord Enterprises closely resembles the old British East India Company. Trade is paramount, but EOE fields a massive military machine to ensure that trade remains free. The Dominion stays out of most international affairs (wars and the like), unless such incidents disrupt EOE trade. Even then, the Overlord prefers to use diplomacy and occasional intimidation rather than military force.

The Dominion is best described as a corporate autocracy. The Department of Internal Security watches everyone at almost all times, and citizen/shareholders are bar-coded and implanted with a bio-electric chip at birth. This makes the Dominion crime-free ... despite the fact that many things are illegal. Foreigners are not permitted within the Dominion- except at the Free-Trade Port of Amida Island- just off the southwest coast of Forlorn Hope. Any foreigners are automatically assumed to be spies, and any spies caught outside the confines of Freeport are usually summarily executed.

Despite the Overlord's isolationist tendencies, the Dominion is active in some international incidents- mainly disaster relief and international diplomacy. Several nations have embassies on Amida Island, despite the paranoid restrictions the Overlord places on such activity. The Overlord despises the so-called United Nations, and refuses to have any dealings with that organization.

Despite the lack of input in national politics and the severely-curtailed civil rights, would-be immigrants clamor for admittance to the Dominion, drawn by the high standard of living and exceptional health care. Prospective immigrants are required to undergo rigorous screening by the clinically paranoid Internal Security Department, and must also possess skills or knowledge EOE considers valuable.

The Incorporated States of Exonerate is a fairly new nation, that arose from a region of much strife and civil war. The current Enlightened Despot eventually united the region with a combination of diplomacy, manipulation, and military power. It has been 30 years since the establishment of Exonerate, and now possess a population of over 500 million people. The borders between various ethnic groups and cultures have all been dissolved, and now they stand united together.

Exonerate is generally classified as a Libertarian Police State, or Father Knows Best State. It is also a current member of the Kingdom of the Midlands, as well as being the Ground Commander of the Legion of Defense. [see also Legion of Defence]

The GDODAD, or Global Dominion Of Dictators Against Democracy is one of the oldest, greatest, and most powerful alliances in NS history. It is a military alliance of dictatorships, at its basic levels operating on a policy of collective defence. Most members are a dictatorship of some kind, be it a monarchy, an empire, or even just rigged elections. It is dedicated to defending dictatorships from attacks by foolish democracies, and it has an ultimate goal of one day ridding the world from the time-wasting practice of democracy. It has close ties with other alliances seen as "evil", such as Arda, The Reich and the UOHN. AT a peak, it had over 100 active members, although now there are probably only about twenty now. However, most of these are over 1.5 billion, with the most senior of them including the leader The Silver Turtle having populations of over 2 billion. It has a reputation for warmongering, but this is quite undeserved. Although it has been embroiled in three world wars, it started none of them. WWIV, WWV and WWVI were all started by the nations on the "good" side, with the express purpose of destroying The GDODAD.

The Gothic Underworld (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=the_gothic_underworld), the Constitutional Monarchy of
The Gothic Underworld is a young country initially named Atros, but rich in recent history. When it was first formed, the government tried to lead the country by the ideals of democracy, but the unruly people soon made a mess of the politcal situation. Faced with imminient collapse, Atros as a country needed a miracle, which it gets, but not quite in the way intended.

Around this time, a 2000-year old vampire, whose name was never quite known although there were rumors of his name being Louis. In any case, he saw that this young country needed a miracle, a supernatural blessing only one such as he could provide. In any case, what happened next came both as a blessing and a curse. With his small vampiric force, and his ability to charm mortals which is prized even amongst the undead, he wrested control of the government of Atros, and to the horror of many, imposed a military dictatorship. Many historians will come to denounce his move, but only he knew that this was neccessary to restrain the wild natures of the people of the defunct country of Atros, and prepare them for true democracy with responsibility.

Soon, the underground society of vampires had heard of the Vampire Revolution, and many migrated there, expecting the long-prophesied haven of the undead. But this was not what the leader-vampire, by this time known only as the King Vampire, wanted, for he knew what this would entail: a destruction of the society far outweighing the damage he caused in his quest for power. The Civil War of Atros thus started, and by the time it ended, the King Vampire was victorious, and he renamed the country of Atros the Gothic Underworld, for indeed, although he kept the evil vampires out, a small society of vampires with good hearts are allowed to remain.

The reeducation scheme launched by the King Vampire to reeducate the people the meaning of responsibility, took many years and resources, but in the end succeeded. Soon after, one of his human ministers, also a descendent of his when the King Vampire was still human, asked him to give up his power, for he has accomplised his purpose. The King Vampire agreed. However, the people of the Gothic Underworld, used to him for so many years, were not happy to see him go, and asked him to stay as a source of inspiration. Thus, a political deal was struck.

Today, the King Vampire still holds his position as head of state of the Gothic Underworld, but retains only power similar to that of the monarch of the UK. He still remains active in the affairs of the Gothic Underworld, pledging his substantial wealth to the development of military aircraft, which constitutes the main defence force in the nationstate today, and helping out in the matters of the region of South East Asia, where the country is now based. The King Vampire is also the creator of a proposal for a new council which may materialize into reality. Now the King Vampire wishes to bring the Gotic Underworld into the new frontier of international diplomatic society.

After the destruction of a great civilization, only a handful of people remained. All of them were in the remains of a fleet in the region of Deep Space. They traveled as homeless nomads in the deep of space for many years. In Deep Space (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=96019), the Fleet discovered a derilict fleet. However, the GSF incountered the Deep Space Pirates. Soon, several other nations got involved and the situation exploded. In the end, the pirate fleet got destroyed and the leader imprisoned in The Great System.

It encompasses medical staff, civil engineers, heavy cargo transport aircraft squadrons, surveillance trawlers, diplomats, and de-mining experts, deployabe anywhere in the world in under 1 day. It is one of the most successful international organizations to date, and without affiliation to any other organization, one of the most objective.

The International Free Trade Association (IFTA)
The IFTA was born of a CACE (Coalition of Anti-Capitalist Economies) initiative to create a trade zone that included anti-capitalist nations as well as those capitalist nations that were prepared to ensure decent working conditions for their populace.

The IFTA has since proven to be a huge success and its members now outnumber those of the organization that created it. As a democratic organization with over 80 members, and covering a population in excess of 112 billion people, IFTA is the world’s largest market and welcomes membership applications from any nation that is prepared to ensure the rights of its workforce.

An offshoot of The Silver Turtle, this was originally a small colony used to further the Ineffable Empire's space program. However, the small colony on Jupiter's smallest moon continued to grow, and now encompasses several of Jupiters inner moons, and has turned the rest into military bases. From here, the Ineffable Spacefleets make their small but just noticeable mark on conflicts in space, and also serve the empire providing back-up for ground wars. The newly formed nation of Linthopia is the product of a group of communists and socialists who left their old homes in the north pacific and moved to the newly discovered continent of New Scandinavia.
Four nations were formed, but after only one year, these nations entered a union and became the united socialist states of Linthopia.
Linthopia today has five states, since it was decided that the capital city Marx City needed its own state, since it wouldn't be fair if one of the other states got to have the capital.

Linthopia is a socialistic country, classified by the UN as "Liberal Democratic Socialists". The country is well known for hard laws against private enterprises (in practice, they are illegal), and a very liberal personal freedom and civil rights system.

The flag of the nation features a red background, representing the nations political standing, a hammer and sickle, symbol of communism, centered in the middle of the flag on top of a golden star. From each of the stars "arms", a strip of white goes out to the end of the flag, each strip representing a state.

The president is Vladmir Iltjivich, a russian-in-exile, and the prime minister Sandra Kelvan, a canadian socialist, and one of the few female prime ministers. All posts in the government are elected by the people, except the prime minister, who is elected by the parliaments (Linthopia has five parliaments, one per state, each with 379 members).

Magnetic Impetus
The M# (and it's sister and cousin aircraft, the K#, X#, and the G#) gains its technical prowess from an EM technology referred to in the Empire as 'magnetic impetus'. Somewhat similar to a gravitic system, in a superficial way, the MI drive works by lessening the relativistic mass of an object - however, it does its job in a vastly different way to a gravitic system.

Rather than acting upon space/time, the MI drive 'grabs' and 'holds onto' magnetic field lines using a complex suite of magnetic field interactions; it then 'scrapes' electrons off of the magnetic field lines as it 'runs along' them, in turn using those very electrons to power itself.

MI is also used to power the entire Empire; rather than using a magnet-in-an-iron-coil (or the opposite), MI power cores 'syphon' off electrons and protons from specially constructed magnetic fields, in a similar manner to the MI drive in an M#.

Another useage of MI is in the 'MI Slingshot Access Ports', in Nenya and Turath - these are high-powered slingshot systems that 'suck' the using craft down (in Nenya, down through a few miles of tunnel) through a specially constructed shaft.

Finally, MI technology is also used to power the erroneously named 'mag-lev train system' that criss-crosses the Empire - the trains run on 'pistes' that generate powerful magnetic fields, which the trains in turn run on. Magnus Valerius was once a land of squabbling petty kingdoms until a mysterious man named Valerian made the Kingdom of Vedus supreme. Vedus was renamed Valeria, and Valerian was sanctified by the church and people. On 1349, in the Common Era, all of the petty kingdoms were vanquished and absorbed, and The Crown Empire was born. Since then, Magnus Valerius developed into a massive nation with several colonies, with its influence as one of the most powerful nations in Kortania unquestionable. After a long period of isolation though, the country's current leader, Emperor Alexander I, wishes to bring the country out on the world stage. This meant modernization, imperialism, and diplomatic finesse.

Mai-shirong, David
Author, general, First Consul of the Republic. David Mai-shirong (or "David http://cgibin.erols.com/mandarintools/cgi-bin/ugif/52F1.gifhttp://cgibin.erols.com/mandarintools/cgi-bin/ugif/5BE6.gifhttp://cgibin.erols.com/mandarintools/cgi-bin/ugif/69AE.gif" as he wrote it) was born in 1263 in Junaklion, the descendant of Han Chinese civil servants who came down to Syskeyia from China during the 1225 war. A second-generation Christian, he was a devout Catholic all his life.

When he was 5, he me Catherine Santhanam, a beautiful, dark-skinned Indian Catholic girl whom he quickly became best friends with. With adolesence came, well, new complications to their relationship. The two married in St. Peter's Church, Junaklion in 1280, and had their first child, Joachim, one year later.

While David first intended to live the quiet life of a farmer, he always had an itnerest in the things of warfare and, fulfilling his duty as a citizen-soldier, rose quickly in the provincial militia. In 1295, he was appointed Strategos Strategon of the Syskeyian Army, subordinate only to the king.

That king, however, was Achilles the Apostate, Syskeyia's worst, and last, king. When the king ordered Mai-shirong to persecute Christians, Mai-shriong refused, for he himself was a Christian. When civil war broke out, David commanded the Christian/Parliamentary forces. Defeating the Royalist/pagan forces at Nova Ardea in 1303, David Mai-Shirong became the first First Consul of the Republic, serving in that office until 1313.

After the consulate David Mai-shirong wrote a history of the Syskeyian Civil War, Bellum contra Rex (The War against the King). As David's family had been well-educated and ambitious, David recieved a thorough education in Chinese and Latin. David's Latin in the work on par with Livy, Cicero, and Bede.

David Mai-shirong died in 1345, his wife a year later. His remains are buried in the crypt of Holy Trinity Bascilica in Syskeyiapolis. He had 7 children.

The NANOCRON
The NANOCRON is a super-station built by the Boom-ville Imperial Exploration Division in 6805 standard Boom-ville temporal dating system. It is located in the Catarius sector close to the unexplored regions of space. It harbors close to 5 million of Boom-ville’s scientists, doctors, explorers, and other people who wished to be on the historic station. It is almost 1255 meters in diameter and 855 meters tall. It is built like a fortress complete with the most powerful shielding available, thick armor plating, multiple kinds of torpedoes (some bought from other empires), dozens of laser batteries, the most powerful communications and sensor arrays in the sector, and a small fleet to help with exploration and defense.

It has a powerful impulse drive, but its humungous mass prevents it from going anywhere quickly. Its mission has been to be a scientific outpost and to collect data for the past 76 years. It has been upgraded numerous times and it is sometimes called, ‘The Citadel’ by visitors to the station. It allows visitors, but it has strict protocols and laws in place to prevent disorder. It has been attacked twice, once by the Nebularians and once by the Nectore invasion of 6833. Both failed miserably. It is an invincible fortress, and a wonder in this galaxy.

Nenyan Species, The
Little is known about the Nenyan species; they are a secretive bunch, preferring to remain 'invisible' as a seperate species - they are commonly considered to be identical to humanity, but this is not entirely true.

An offshoot of both Elves and Humans, Nenyans - according to EOTED legend - were originally born of a group of Noldor and Sindarin Elves whom had, for unknown reasons, the Doom of Men placed upon their future generations. The First Three Generations of Nenyans did not suffer the Doom, but were changed from their former selves nontheless. Semir-randil is second generation, and is the provider of much of the facts behind the mythos surrounding the origin of the Nenyan race.

The word 'Nenya' is an ancient one, and, although there is no firm etymology in the Empire to support exactly where it comes from, it is believed to be Quenya in origin - from 'nen', 'water'.

Which is ironic, as Nenyans have an intense dislike of water - although they are an excellent seafaring race, they have in recent years preferred to build submarinal craft. That way, they do not have to face 'the roaring surf'. [See Empire of the Eternal Dawn, the]

New Genoa was established as a small nation after it and its surrounding colonies won their independence from the Pacifican Empire in 1870. In 1899, these four independent nations sent delegates to a meeting in New Genoa, New Genoa where the tirelessly drafted a universal Constitution that they would all agree to comply to. However, growing unity among the people of these nations eventually pushed the delegates to go one step further: an amendment was added to the Constitution which read, "henceforth from this day on [May 1, 1899] the sovereign states of New Genoa, New San Marino, New Rome, and Blaine be united in an official Union to be known as the Free Republic of New Genoa..." Since the unification of the four nations, New Genoa has prospered to become an economic and civil rights powerhouse.

Omzian Democratic Federal Republic, or Omzian Nation, was independent from a vast Empire in the late 1800s. Through a period of war and anarchy, a Republic was finally established in 1963. At first, the Omzian Socialist Party dominated the nation in an one-party system, but through reforms, Omzian Democratic Federal Republic has finally became democratic in the late 1980s. Today, Omzian Democratic Federal Republic is an economic powerhouse, and continues to hold many civil and political freedoms.

Founded by five Christian refugees a long time ago, Sancto now boasts a growing population of over 500 million citizens - mainly Christian. The nation became pacifistic at the start because the refugees had a negative experience with a war that forced them to leave their original homeland. Sang Saus
A confederation of coastal cities founded in 1632 by Wesport in order to counter raids from the Moorland Faction, later re-designed to act more as a customs/economic union. From 1698 to 1734, Sang Saus experienced it's first "Golden Age" due to finding of silver in the Yatzing Hills, located about 30 miles away from the boundary of the Great Barrens. This Golden Age soon lead to the raising of many churches, opera houses, government buildings, gardens, and music halls. However, this Golden Age quickly died down due to the sudden inflation and collapse of the silver market in 1736.

From 1736 to 1789, the Sang Saus entered it's Dark Age, as Sauport started to contest Wesport's domination of the organization, leading to the rise of the Inquisition, and the expulsion of the Catholic Church within the Wesport Region. This conflict soon ended with the election of Chancellor Bis Mark Dun (of Westill) who mediated the Treaty of Midshire, thereby placing the Sang Saus on the road to becoming a united whole.

In 1825, the Sang Sau Confederation was replaced by the Sang Sau Republic with negotiations launched between it and the Adderton Republic on uniting under one country. In 1848, the Great Road was built as a goodwill present to the Republic, followed by other railroads, and finally uniting in 1888. [see Adderton, the Dominion of]

Sang Sau Dark Age, the
A period of history between the years of 1736 to 1789 that entailed the rise of the Catholic Church in the city of Sauport and the effects of that incident. Most historians cite the reason of the rise of the Catholic Church mainly from the election of Doge Egon, whom wanted to mold the city of Sauport into a military power in which the Sang Sau Confederation could become an Empire. Another theory that historians advocate as another origin point for this historical period is the rise of Bishop Riddan Mook's claim of "divine communications". Whatever reason of Sauport's sudden increase into psuedo-facist leanings, all historians agree on what occured after Sauport's Declaration of Divine Acquisition.

From 1745 to 1760, Sauport started to conquer all the regions along the Southern Coast, eventually intruding upon Wesport's territory. From 1760 to 1770, all of the Western Coast Region fell under Sauport control with Wesport desperately asking for help from the Adderton Republic. In 1771, a token force was sent to help Wesport, increasing thricefold the next year due to Sauport's Invasion of the Southern Moor.

From 1771 to 1783, all Sauport's acquisitions were soon lost due to the ever increasing amount of Republican support in Wesport. The war officially ended in 1787 with the fall of Sauport in the Battle of Drydan Creek. However, due to the squabbles within the Wesport power structure, Republican forces were withdrawn from Wesport, taking along with them much of the spoils from the Sacking of Sauport.

In 1788, Wesport's power structure collapsed from various government factions vying to get back that "stolen" loot with the Treaty of Rich Ridge signed in early 1789 due to another pleading by the Wesport Council for Republican aid. [see Aderton, the Dominion of]

A young nation, unified 108 years (from compiling of this information) ago.

Before unification, in the age known, by San Texarian reckoning, as PU or Pre-Unification, the land was made mostly of modernized nomads, who wandered along the rivers Enthar and Lothan. These were the only fertile lands in the entire area. War was a constant between the tribes and clans of people. Most of the tribes stayed in areas for fairly long periods of time.

In the year of 2763 PU, PU starting from when the first nomadic tribe was established and started recording history, Tex Gruntis, of the Gruntis Clan, of the Melog tribe, lead an armed movement throughout the area between the rivers. At the bend of Enthar, he established a permenant city and started establishing relations. He was 33 years old. Over a span of four years, he lead movements to unify the tribes, and estabished more cities. On November 13, 2768 PU, he unified all the tribes into one nation. He decided not to name the cities, except the chief one which became Cutula City. At this time, the total population was 5 million. At this point, the new age began, and it is now the age AU, After Unification.

In the year 1 AU, the nation held the first elections for president. Tex ran, and won in a large margin of about 75% to 25%. At this point, he entered the nation in the United Nations. He decided to be part of the rehion Solarius.

San Texario was partof Solarius for seven years, until it helped found the League of Small Nations with the Community (now known as the Topological Spheroid) of Zervok, and the United States of Citta Acqua. For the next thirtyfour years, they remained a figure of power in LSN. After the death of Tex Gruntis (I) in the year 37 AU, his son, Tex Gruntis II, ran for president, and won by a margin which was not kept in the history books. In the year 51 AU, a conflict engaged with GCON (Global Coalition Of Nations) which lasted two years. At this point, a second district area was founded, Articolia, and sent as a spy in GCON. At this time, the CCT became part of the Kingdom of the Midlands (see Kingdom of the Midlands)

Over the next thirty years (roughly), conflict went on and off with GCON. It was in the year 85 when the treaty was signed by San Texario. This was the year after Articolia revealed itself and re-united with San Texario.

Around the time of the first GCON conflict, Texco. Industries became an independant district. Also, fishing boats to collect food and make fres water in the sea were governed by themselves, but became part of the CCT.

In the year 86, the cities had expanded so much, that the nation became a large city. A large space/air port was created, and a wall and dome surrounded the entire CCT, as funds were gained by the selling of orbital satellites. Since this time, no major conflicts have happened.

Geography:
The CCT is a vast, desertous land outside the city. Inside, there are two rivers which have canals spreading out in rectangles to supply water. The wall surrounding has four gates, which all lead to the two freeways, and there are three gates at the space/airport, which open each into three docking bays (Bays six and seven house planes, and bay five houses air force fighters/bombers.). A plan is being created to dig underground in hopes of creating more living space, as well as finding minerals. Projects begin in thirteen years.

Sarah and Tatya
Sarah, created by Queen Bao Ling I - or 'seeded', as the correct technical term is - is the worlds first Semantic Intelligence. Rather than working on a particular base set (ie, base two), Sarah is a complicated multiple-level being.

At her lowest level, she is no different to any non-quantum-computing based artificial intelligence.

At the next level up, however, things begin to complexify. She is governed by a complex 'dictionary' - somewhat similar to genetic structure, but using words - composed of different words. Each word is linked to several others, creating a 'semantic pathway'. Each semantic pathway combined forms the next 'level'.

The next level up is formed by phrases; each phrase, again, is linked to several others - but each phrase is also linked to words on the level beneath, and has a binary assignment also, adding to the complexity of the whole.

Each level is inter-dependant, and Sarah is wholly polymorphic, enabling her to adapt her inner workings at need - in a similar manner to an organic brain.

Sarah is, and is designed to be, a 'human simulation'.

Sarah was the first ASI, but she is now no longer the only of her kind: Tatya, the second of her kind, was brought online some months ago, and is responsible for a number of duties revolving around EOTED space assets and EOTED-bound spacecraft. [See Empire of The Eternal Dawn, The]

SENTINEL-GO Towers, The
The SENTINEL-GO system is responsible for protecting the Empire from invasion. Several thousand Sentinels guard the border. They are semi-static defence towers, incorporating kinetic gun tubes, EMP cannons, and various missile launchers; they stand between fifty and two hundred metres tall.

They were recently refitted with the latest in EOTED scanning technology, incorporating laser-sweep systems, and short-range ultrasonic detection equipment; and the latest in long-range OF/RADAR systems.

EOTED is known for it's boast that 'nothing can breach the border', although that claim was somewhat trounced during the invasion of Ardan forces in 1 D.E. - although IDF tacticians still claim today that the SENTINEL-GO grid was deactivated, not defeated. [See Empire of Eternal Dawn, the]

Once a small, beautiful nation in the South Pacific, The Silver Turtle is now a sprawling economic powerhouse near the north pole. It has been lead for countless years by The Great Ineffable Bob, who rose to power almost 300 years ago, and whose power has been increasing ever since. The Ineffable Empire now spans mulitple nations, with TGI Bob as its emperor. He also founded the infamous GDODAD and The Underwater Bubble, and currently also presides over the Coalition of Evil. The Silver Turtle remains the capital of The Ineffable Empire, with it's capital city containing a 7km square palace for the Emperor. The Silver Turtle's military force is one of the best in the world, and it has military ties with some of those even better than it. [see also Leda Colony; GDODAD]

Stalkers, the
The Stalkers are an alien race first encountered by Nanakan space marines above the moon. Technically, others had encountered the Stalkers before, but due to their habbit of boarding ships and massicring all peoples onboard, not very many people have seen them and lived. In A Scream in Space (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=121721), A Dark Alliance (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126904), and their sequel soon to come, the Stalkers have been hostile to almost all human and humanoid civilizations. Thankfully, their mothership was destroyed and the one humanoid civilization on friendly terms with the Stalkers lost their fleet in a battle with SAVXian, Nanakan, and Techon fleets. The Intrepid, the stolen ship they were caught on, was destroyed. Super American VX Man, Techon, and Nanakaland traced the Stalker mothership back to the Crab Nebula, where they went and prepared to fire the new superweapon, the United Grand Celestial Glory." Super Acolyte, models I through IIIS
The Super Acolyte is the primary futuretech fighter aircraft of the Space Fleet of the Anarcho-Syndicalist Commune of Lunatic Retard Robots. While severely limited in atmospheric capabilities, the Super Acolyte is nearly unmatched in spaceborne operations. Carried aboard all sufficent size spacecraft, wings of less than 15 Super Acolytes can inflict great damage on frigates and other fighters, and larger wings can take down destroyers and light cruisers. The Super Acolyte is cheap, but heavily armed and armored. With the addition of impulse rudders on the IIIS version, the Super Acolyte has manouverability to match even the most agile interceptors.

Super American VX Man (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=super%20american%20vx%20man), the Militaristic Federation of
SAVX (as it is usually referred to as) is an old nation, with ancient histories going back for hundreds of years. However, until the year 736, the region that would become the nation was primarily inhabited by numerous bickering tribes and city-states. The people were united under Graz Mallad to ward off large invasions, and the people remained united since. This ancient heritage has held true to this day, as the people of SAVX are more militaristic than the average person, and are not afraid to fight for what they believe in.

The governmental structure has been revised numerous times, with different styles of economy and government being attempted but never quite succeeding. The current Constitution that dictates the nation was accepted in Jan 30, 1736. This document dictated that a lightly regulated form of capitalism would be used for the economy, that certain services--most notably education, defense, and law--would be controlled and funded by the government through mild taxation (OOC: Whatever the nation page says isn't the way things are really run; the tax rate only ranges from 5-25%, depending on the income bracket), that personal liberties would be upheld to the strictest degree, and that a democratically-elected ruler (the Führer, currently held by Hans Müller) would govern from the time of his/her election until his/her death. Should said ruler ever make choices that anger virtually all of the populace (requires a 95% approval), the Elite Civilian Guard would forcefully remove that leader from power, and the state military would not stand in the way. To this date, such an incident has only occured once, when Milo Cathcart was killed as a result of his resistance to the will of the people.

The geography of SAVX is varied; 25% of the land is desert/wasteland, and much of the rest is covered in at least semi-fertile land, with many luscious forests and wildlife preserves. Mountains encircle 32% of the borders, with 27% covered by sea. Three main rivers run through the nation, supplying most of what is needed for the populace. (OOC: Parts in italics for future-tech only) SAVX also has many land claims in space, mostly in the form of asteroids owned either by the government or the primary corporations. Numerous space stations also exist, with advances in hydroponics, nuclear reactors, and recycling methods allowing them to sustain vast quantities of life. The government also owns multiple, some more secret than others, depending on their purposes. Other small planets and moons are being explored and researched to see if they can support life with the aid of terraforming.

SAVX has numerous allies, with the most prominent being Euroslavia, Nanakaland, Exonerate, San Texario, CornixPes, Drakoniks (for whom we are the primary defense force), Witzgall, Icentom, and anyone else in the region of The Kingdom of the Midlands.

Torontonias was originally a Federation of allied states, all striving to bring the latest in modern technological advancements to all of its peoples. Eventually a rift started to develop between the three nations. The Capitalist Society and the Space faring peoples banned together to force the Communist Society to disband and amalgamate into the new nation, which became the Capitalist Oligarchy simply because the majority of the government is controlled by the larger corporations of the Nation, although a small, community elected Senate still reigns on most of the big decisions made.

Torontonias is proud of its small, but rapidly growing space fleet that has already gotten them to Epsilon Prime, the new administrative center of the Nation. The actual Earth Capital has fallen back in Political importance, but it is still the center of our Culture, Which is currently holding diplomatic meetings between Nations of Differing species.

TSP: Is the abbreviation for the Torontonias Space Program founded by Mark Waltzburg, in the Early days of space exploration, this program controlled all Torontonian Space assets, Eventually, however, the need for more defensive and weapon oriented ships called for the establishment of a second division to look over all ships that were involved in the Defense of Torontonian holdings. The TSP still operates today, although it now only commands the Science fleet and several outposts, which is still an important duty.

TSDC: Abbreviated for the Torontonias Spatial Defense Committee, the newer of the two organizations, it is charged with commanding all ships and structures involved in the defense of Torontonias.

Vanguard-class ADC, The
The Vanguard class ADC was designed by the High King of Ma-Nenya, High King the High Lord Commodore Semir-randil. They were designed to be 'as the aircraft carrier was to the battleship'. ADC stands for 'Air Dominance Cruiser'.

She is of the first class of surface ship to be constructed by the Empire in many years - and by far is the most powerful class in the IDF N.

The Vanguard carries a submarinal hangar bay, designed to launch M# interceptors or G# heavy-bombers (both of which are capable of submarinal 'flight') from beneath the waves, and thus freeing her upper deck for more important things - like guns. And guns she has.

In 'quiet' mode, the Vanguard class' upper deck are smooth; but their upper-decks are entirely reversible, composed of 'double-sided deck plates'.

On one 'side' of the deck plates, (on some of them, at any rate - others merely have 'iris' gateways, designed to allow the deployment of missiles from launchers on the secondary weapons deck below the uppermost deck) there are 'EF-beam cluster panels', designed to 'knock out enemy anti-ship missile fire' - and on the other, there are access ports, designed to 'iris' open, and reveal the secondary deck below. Once reversed, the collapsable EF-beam cluster panels disengage, and 'destructure', allowing offensive weaponry to be deployed. She is, of course, fitted with offensive weaponry also; this ranges from kinetic gun-tubes to OTH kinetic missile launchers; to EMP missile tubes; to US missile launchers. They are intended as fleet-killing warships with global reach.

Three Vanguard class ships have been either destroyed or utterly destroyed; in the Nargothrond Incident, the IDS Vanguard suffered broken primary, secondary, and tertiary supertructures when the fragments of the fallen Orbital Battlestation slammed into the Bay of Turath around her. The original IDS Nenya was destroyed on assignment off the coast of Reichskampfen when Russian Forces launched nuclear weapons at her; she shot down a number of incoming before her point defense systems were overwhelmed. It is projected that several thousand ICBMs must have been launched to guarantee her destruction; of course, only one needed to actually impact. In the Shadow War, the IDS Turath was lost with all hands along with her attending Battlegroup in an engagement with a massive Whispering Voices floatilla; outnumbered by dozens to one, the IDS Turath held out for some time before eventually being overwhelmed and destroyed. It is noteworthy that only one of the three Vanguard class warships lost were actually involved in combat at the time of their destruction, and only two of the three losses can be actually attributed to an enemy; the original IDS Vanguard, although destroyed by an Ardan asset, would not have been lost if Triumvirate of Yut warships had not engaged and all but destroyed the Nargothrond in orbit.

Damon Watts is the second son of the famous T.J. "Bright" Watts, local railroad baron. Raised through a series of private & boarding schools, Damon Watts entered the Adderton National Guard at age 18, eventually rising to the rank of Captain. After serving for 5 years, Damon Watts entered the Diplomatic Core, serving as a clerk for Vice Minister Tern Horse, and eventually rising up the ranks to Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. During his tenure as Vice Minister, Damon Watts helped to draft several clauses in the famous Adderton Accords as well as to help reform the Foreign Affairs Department along modern lines. However, such reforms were reversed when Block Red was appointed to Minister of Foreign Affairs & State during the Redhead Administration. It was from that point on that Damon Watts took a break from government and served on the Adderton Symphony Board of Directors.

By the time Prime Minster Charles Beagle was elected, Damon Watts was already being consulted by members on the Board on running for Secretary for a third time. An expansive and large spacefaring civilization, based on similar principles to Earth Western Civilization. Wormia was founded on a planet not unlike Earth, following a fifth and rampantly devastating fifth world war that crippled planetary industry and demanded union between the nation-states that occupied it.

The Federated Stellar Republics of Wormia then entered an isolationist period to last the better part of two hundred years, during which countless social, political and technological reforms would take place. This was in part due to the destruction caused by the nuclear fifth global war, most infrastructure had been decimated and cross oceanic communication was unfeasible for approximately 75 years. When 150 years between Wormia's foundation and isolation had passed, the government underwent a severe reform transforming from a democracy to a beneficiary dictatorship.

Wormia retained its Parliament to serve as more of an advisory committee to the dictator. The people retained few political freedoms, with the exception of the power to oust the dictator and elect a new one should he be deemed unfit for leadership. This event has occurred once during the disastrous and corrupt reign of Nathaniel Torrent. This governing system is in effect today, and has been wildly successful. The current leader is the somewhat centered George Thomas IV.

Following 175 years of isolation, Wormian leaders began to contemplate re-emergence into the world, but the idea was constantly voted down for the next 36 years, when Wormia built and sent the Great Chrome Fleet to seek out and make contact with various spacefaring nations. The Chrome Fleet was wildly successful with species who could percieve chrome as it is, a difficulty not anticipated prior to the launch of the fleet.

Since then, Wormia has been involved in the Covenant Wars and a brief skirmish with pirates in Cyberutopian space. [see also: Great Chrome Fleet, the; Covenant Wars, the]

Empire of The Eternal Dawn, The

The Empire of The Eternal Dawn is, from border to border, over three thousand miles in 'breadth'. The land is, however, 65% uninhabitable, due to the propensity towards mountainous terrain in the North.

The capital city of the Empire is - highly scenic - Nenya, situated in the nation of Ma-Nenya, and has a growing population of over 300million souls. Nenya nestles against the Bay of Turath in the South, and against the Lake Nenya in the North. To the North of the Lake are the so-called Forbidding Mountains, home to a small population of - modernized - nomadic 'towns' of Nenyans, whom live the way that Nenyans once did, pre-First Empire years. The Empire largely ignores them, allowing them to preserve their customs. Also in the mountains are the Western Sentinels, great two hundred metre tall defence towers that guard the western sea border. They were originally built to deter naval invasions.

Nenya is, by and large, the most beautiful place in the Empire. It is built into an ancient forest, and the city maintains a harmonious existance with the natural environment around it; indeed, one finds it tremendously difficult to even see Nenya on an inbound flight. This is partly due to the propensity of greens and browns; although the odd bronze-coloured building can be seen glinting in the Sun. This is also due to the ban on any building in Nenya being taller than two stories, a ban which extends Empire-wide following the Great Storms of the preceding century - storms which killed many thousands of people due to a combination of shoddy construction and over-bearing great tall behemoths of buildings which served only to be egotistical and categorically impossible to maintain.

The second capital is Tek, capital of Ma-tek, situated against the Eastern Shore of the Bay of Turath. Tek the smallest of the three 'capital' cities of the Empire; it only has a population of thirty-six million. Having said that, however, it is the second most densley populated, to Nenya. Tek is only thirty-nine square miles in size; that makes density level of close to one million people per square mile. Tek is largely bronze in colour, however, there are also grey and green buildings - these are mostly government buildings, however, and are also not open to the public with the exception of Imperial House (Ma-tek Division) and Citizens House (Ma-tek Division).

Turath is the largest city in the Empire, with more than 500million souls. It is also the largest geographically; it stretches along close to 1,000 miles of coast, from the upper tip of the Bay of Turath to the Sea in the South. Turath is highly industrialized, like all three capital cities, but is also the most economically rich of the three cities. It is not a tourist destination, however - unlike Tek and Nenya, which attract millions of tourists every year. The edge of the city is dominated by the 'Ag Lands', where hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of Imperial Citizens work during their 'agricultural service' of three years. Ag-service is mandatory in the Empire, and provides the food for all two billion inhabitants of the Empire of The Eternal Dawn (may it last forever!). The Ag Lands are, however, quite ugly, for the most part; fields after fields of corn crops and wheat, barley, cabbages, and cauliflower, and all manner of crops. There are also pastoral fields, of course; these are situated at the far side of the Ag Lands, but not at the edge of their domain. At the edge lie the Orchard Lands; field after field of glorious fruit trees, with lakes and canals linking them together. These are widely considered to be most beautiful, and can be seen on many a postcard sold in the Empire. The Southern Tip region of Turath is newly-built, due to a nanotech disaster in that area of the city a few years ago; the region of the city was entirely destroyed in that incident. Similarily - like the other two cities - the entire near-coast region is also largely rebuilt, following the Nargothrond Incident during the War of Survival against Morgoth and his ilk.

The Empire is, politically, a democracy. It is, however, what may be classified as a socio-imperialist democracy. That is, we have an Emperor; but we also have autonomous People-owned government in the form of Citizens House and Imperial House.

Citizens House has three Divisions; Ma-Nenya Division, Ma-tek Division, and Ax-turath Division. Citizens House is 25% elected and 75% selected by lottery from the population over 40 years of age, excluding Nenyans, who must be over 100 years of age in order to serve their Political Service. Political Service is mandatory at the whim of the Political Lottery. Citizens House is the Constitutional Branch of EOTED government.

Imperial House also has three Divisions, also Ma-Nenya Division, Ma-tek Division, and Ax-turath Division. Imperial House is 75% elected and 25% selected from the population over 40 years of age, excluding Nenyans, who must be over 100 years of age in order to serve their Political Service. Imperial House is the Legislative Branch of EOTED government.

The Executive Council (one Council, one Empire) is composed of: the Emperor; the Queen of Ma-Nenya; the High Lord of Ma-tek; the High Lady of Ax-turath; and the High Lord and High Lady of the Sol Orbital Colony of Vilya Elenosto. Any action taken by the EC must come via unanimous vote (seven 'Yea's).

The Judicial Branch is seperated into three disproportionate judiciary-only courts; the Environmental Court, Criminal Court, and the Economic Court.

The Imperial Environmental Court (or EnC for short, as it is generally referred to) is responsible for ensuring that EOTED industry does not encroach on the environment beyond the 'sustainable level'. 45% of the judges are elected by joint election by the Imperial House and Citizens House; the remaining 55% are selected by the Executive Council. The EnC may not pass new laws or adjust existing ones (that being the 'job' of the Legislative Branch); it may only enforce existing laws. It can, however, with a super-majority decision of 75%-for, request a change of law/adjustment of law from Imperial House.

The Imperial Criminal Court pursues matters of criminal punishment. There are only three CC judges; all are selected by the Executive Council. They don't have very much work to do. The CC may not pass new laws or adjust existing ones. It cannot change law, nor can it create law. It does not have the power to request adjustment/change of law from Imperial House.

The Imperial Economic Court oversees Imperial Trade Conglomerate policy. The Imperial Trade Conglomerate is responsible for all economic activity inside EOTED; the EcC ensures that the ITC (an autonomous corporation owned by the Emperor) does not act illegally, and acts only in the socio-economic interest of the Empire as a whole.

It should be noted that we do not have a Constitution; our 'Constitution' is underwritten via previous passed laws. It is, therefore, a highly complicated and complex system; this does, unfortunatley, make Citizens House' job very difficult.

The Emperor and His Executive Council possess the power of veto over all other branches of Government, but only with a unanimous vote.

The Emperor also possesses the power of Imperial Decree; an Imperial Decree may enact any law or action that the Emperor wishes, but, as a power-limiting measure, it may never be repealed (altered by Imperial Decree #221 (the first in Imperial history to be put to an Empire-wide referendum): an Imperial Decree may only be repealed with a unanimous vote of all divisions of the Two Houses AND the unanimous support of the Executive Council).

# Series Aircraft, The

The M#, the X#, the G#, and the K# are considered by some to be the epitomy of air-dominance-aircraft, spacecraft, fighter-bombers, and strike craft. With the capability to pull between 22gs (G#, fully laden) and 28gs (X#, fully laden) - between -22g (G#) and -30g (X#) when on a towards-Earth-vector - without killing their pilots, the # series (pronounced 'Sharp', as in the musical notation) is not only full of boast, but is entirely tried and tested in combat scenarios. Acting as the 'leading edge' of EOTED rapid-response operations, the # series has seen active service in several theatres, including the Shadow War and the War of Survival.

The pilot is protected from the ravages of g-forces by a dual system; firstly, the pilot is submerged in PFC (perfluorocarbon), and breathes in a liquid environment far more suitable for the stresses and difficulties of fast-paced air/space combat. Secondly, the pilot is held in place by special 'EM harnessing', which acts upon strategically placed metallic strips that are fitted onto a water-filled/solid double-unit pressure suit.

They are all sleek, and have very recognisable silhouettes (sp?) - forward-and-back swept wings, that loop around in a manner similar to the claws of a scorpion, and have absolutely nothing to do with her flight dominate the shape of all but the X#; they generally have blunt noses, and a chubby, chunky - but curved - rear. The X# has no wings whatsoever, shunning them in favour of a newer rear-engine internal mount system, and sacrificing firepower somewhat in the process.

Buried in the 'wings' of the M#, K#, and G# are one (well, two) of EOTEDs proudest achievements: a superconductive coil per wing powers the all of the, giving them an extended service time of oughly two years normal service (IE, no firing). In combat, this translates as about nine hours straight action without EF weapon usage; six hours with EF cannon usage, depending on the level of use and intensity of combat.

Also occupying the wings are tactical/strategic AIs, designed to augment the pilot and bring the true capacity of the # series to life; without partial AI control, the # series aircraft have little more ability than your average aircraft.



Magnetic Impetus

The M# (and it's sister and cousin aircraft, the K#, X#, and the G#) gains its technical prowess from an EM technology referred to in the Empire as 'magnetic impetus'. Somewhat similar to a gravitic system, in a superficial way, the MI drive works by lessening the relativistic mass of an object - however, it does its job in a vastly different way to a gravitic system.

Rather than acting upon space/time, the MI drive 'grabs' and 'holds onto' magnetic field lines using a complex suite of magnetic field interactions; it then 'scrapes' electrons off of the magnetic field lines as it 'runs along' them, in turn using those very electrons to power itself.

MI is also used to power the entire Empire; rather than using a magnet-in-an-iron-coil (or the opposite), MI power cores 'syphon' off electrons and protons from specially constructed magnetic fields, in a similar manner to the MI drive in an M#.

Another useage of MI is in the 'MI Slingshot Access Ports', in Nenya and Turath - these are high-powered slingshot systems that 'suck' the using craft down (in Nenya, down through a few miles of tunnel) through a specially constructed shaft.

Finally, MI technology is also used to power the erroneously named 'mag-lev train system' that criss-crosses the Empire - the trains run on 'pistes' that generate powerful magnetic fields, which the trains in turn run on. Ironically, the interaction between train-and-piste account for nearly 40% of the energy required - and cut down running costs considerably.



Sarah and Tatya:

Sarah, created by Queen Bao Ling I - or 'seeded', as the correct technical term is - is the worlds first Semantic Intelligence. Rather than working on a particular base set (ie, base two), Sarah is a complicated multiple-level being.

At her lowest level, she is no different to any non-quantum-computing based artificial intelligence.

At the next level up, however, things begin to complexify. She is governed by a complex 'dictionary' - somewhat similar to genetic structure, but using words - composed of different words. Each word is linked to several others, creating a 'semantic pathway'. Each semantic pathway combined forms the next 'level'.

The next level up is formed by phrases; each phrase, again, is linked to several others - but each phrase is also linked to words on the level beneath, and has a binary assignment also, adding to the complexity of the whole.

Each level is inter-dependant, and Sarah is wholly polymorphic, enabling her to adapt her inner workings at need - in a similar manner to an organic brain.

Sarah is, and is designed to be, a 'human simulation'.

Sarah was the first ASI, but she is now no longer the only of her kind: Tatya, the second of her kind, was brought online some months ago, and is responsible for a number of duties revolving around EOTED space assets and EOTED-bound spacecraft.


SENTINEL-GO Towers, The

The SENTINEL-GO system is responsible for protecting the Empire from invasion. Several thousand Sentinels guard the border. They are semi-static defence towers, incorporating kinetic gun tubes, EMP cannons, and various missile launchers; they stand between fifty and two hundred metres tall.

They were recently refitted with the latest in EOTED scanning technology, incorporating laser-sweep systems, and short-range ultrasonic detection equipment; and the latest in long-range OF/RADAR systems.

EOTED is known for it's boast that 'nothing can breach the border', although that claim was somewhat trounced during the invasion of Ardan forces in 1 D.E. - although IDF tacticians still claim today that the SENTINEL-GO grid was deactivated, not defeated.


Nenyan Species, The

Little is known about the Nenyan species; they are a secretive bunch, preferring to remain 'invisible' as a seperate species - they are commonly considered to be identical to humanity, but this is not entirely true.

An offshoot of both Elves and Humans, Nenyans - according to EOTED legend - were originally born of a group of Noldor and Sindarin Elves whom had, for unknown reasons, the Doom of Men placed upon their future generations. The First Three Generations of Nenyans did not suffer the Doom, but were changed from their former selves nontheless. Semir-randil is second generation, and is the provider of much of the facts behind the mythos surrounding the origin of the Nenyan race.

The word 'Nenya' is an ancient one, and, although there is no firm etymology in the Empire to support exactly where it comes from, it is believed to be Quenya in origin - from 'nen', 'water'.

Which is ironic, as Nenyans have an intense dislike of water - although they are an excellent seafaring race, they have in recent years preferred to build submarinal craft. That way, they do not have to face 'the roaring surf'.



Vanguard-class ADC, The

The Vanguard class ADC was designed by the High King of Ma-Nenya, High King the High Lord Commodore Semir-randil. They were designed to be 'as the aircraft carrier was to the battleship'. ADC stands for 'Air Dominance Cruiser'.

She is of the first class of surface ship to be constructed by the Empire in many years - and by far is the most powerful class in the IDF N.

The Vanguard carries a submarinal hangar bay, designed to launch M# interceptors or G# heavy-bombers (both of which are capable of submarinal 'flight') from beneath the waves, and thus freeing her upper deck for more important things - like guns. And guns she has.

In 'quiet' mode, the Vanguard class' upper deck are smooth; but their upper-decks are entirely reversible, composed of 'double-sided deck plates'.

On one 'side' of the deck plates, (on some of them, at any rate - others merely have 'iris' gateways, designed to allow the deployment of missiles from launchers on the secondary weapons deck below the uppermost deck) there are 'EF-beam cluster panels', designed to 'knock out enemy anti-ship missile fire' - and on the other, there are access ports, designed to 'iris' open, and reveal the secondary deck below. Once reversed, the collapsable EF-beam cluster panels disengage, and 'destructure', allowing offensive weaponry to be deployed. She is, of course, fitted with offensive weaponry also; this ranges from kinetic gun-tubes to OTH kinetic missile launchers; to EMP missile tubes; to US missile launchers. They are intended as fleet-killing warships with global reach.

Three Vanguard class ships have been either destroyed or utterly destroyed; in the Nargothrond Incident, the IDS Vanguard suffered broken primary, secondary, and tertiary supertructures when the fragments of the fallen Orbital Battlestation slammed into the Bay of Turath around her. The original IDS Nenya was destroyed on assignment off the coast of Reichskampfen when Russian Forces launched nuclear weapons at her; she shot down a number of incoming before her point defense systems were overwhelmed. It is projected that several thousand ICBMs must have been launched to guarantee her destruction; of course, only one needed to actually impact. In the Shadow War, the IDS Turath was lost with all hands along with her attending Battlegroup in an engagement with a massive Whispering Voices floatilla; outnumbered by dozens to one, the IDS Turath held out for some time before eventually being overwhelmed and destroyed. It is noteworthy that only one of the three Vanguard class warships lost were actually involved in combat at the time of their destruction, and only two of the three losses can be actually attributed to an enemy; the original IDS Vanguard, although destroyed by an Ardan asset, would not have been lost if Triumvirate of Yut warships had not engaged and all but destroyed the Nargothrond in orbit.

The Empire has four such vessels: the IDS Vanguard (rebuilt following the Nargothrond Incident), IDS Nenya (second to bear the name), the IDS Turath (second to bear the name), and the IDS Semir-Randil I.

A note about my nation's name --

Although on the main page it saids "the Democratic Federal Republic of Omz222", the true reality is that the official name is Omzian Democratic Federal Republic (just like the names like Russian Federation and French Republic [as opposed to "Republic of France" as some calls it]), and this "form" has been used for many months (starting from "Omzian Democratic Republic"). So I'd appreciate a small change, thanks.

But if you have to put it that form, the name should be "Omz222".

San Texario, the Commonwealth and Controlled Territories (CCT) of:

A young nation, unified 108 years (from compiling of this information) ago.

Before unification, in the age known, by San Texarian reckoning, as PU or Pre-Unification, the land was made mostly of modernized nomads, who wandered along the rivers Enthar and Lothan. These were the only fertile lands in the entire area. War was a constant between the tribes and clans of people. Most of the tribes stayed in areas for fairly long periods of time.

In the year of 2763 PU, PU starting from when the first nomadic tribe was established and started recording history, Tex Gruntis, of the Gruntis Clan, of the Melog tribe, lead an armed movement throughout the area between the rivers. At the bend of Enthar, he established a permenant city and started establishing relations. He was 33 years old. Over a span of four years, he lead movements to unify the tribes, and estabished more cities. On November 13, 2768 PU, he unified all the tribes into one nation. He decided not to name the cities, except the chief one which became Cutula City. At this time, the total population was 5 million. At this point, the new age began, and it is now the age AU, After Unification.

In the year 1 AU, the nation held the first elections for president. Tex ran, and won in a large margin of about 75% to 25%. At this point, he entered the nation in the United Nations. He decided to be part of the rehion Solarius.

San Texario was partof Solarius for seven years, until it helped found the League of Small Nations with the Community (now known as the Topological Spheroid) of Zervok, and the United States of Citta Acqua. For the next thirtyfour years, they remained a figure of power in LSN. After the death of Tex Gruntis (I) in the year 37 AU, his son, Tex Gruntis II, ran for president, and won by a margin which was not kept in the history books. In the year 51 AU, a conflict engaged with GCON (Global Coalition Of Nations) which lasted two years. At this point, a second district area was founded, Articolia, and sent as a spy in GCON. At this time, the CCT became part of the Kingdom of the Midlands (see Kingdom of the Midlands)

Over the next thirty years (roughly), conflict went on and off with GCON. It was in the year 85 when the treaty was signed by San Texario. This was the year after Articolia revealed itself and re-united with San Texario.

Around the time of the first GCON conflict, Texco. Industries became an independant district. Also, fishing boats to collect food and make fres water in the sea were governed by themselves, but became part of the CCT.

In the year 86, the cities had expanded so much, that the nation became a large city. A large space/air port was created, and a wall and dome surrounded the entire CCT, as funds were gained by the selling of orbital satellites. Since this time, no major conflicts have happened.

Geography:
The CCT is a vast, desertous land outside the city. Insie, there are two rivers which have canals spreading out in rectangles to supply water. The wall surrounding has four gates, which all lead to the two freeways, and there are three gates at the space/airport, which open each into three docking bays (Bays six and seven house planes, and bay five houses air force fighters/bombers.). A plan is being created to dig underground in hopes of creating more living space, as well as finding minerals. Projects begin in thirteen years.

According to Drakonic historical records, the Protectorate of Drakonics was formed by the leaders of all dragon clans in order to govern dragon society as a whole. The remainders of the various dragon species left Earth by means of which are still disputed (several theories include spacecraft, magicks, and combinations of the two), after dragons were killed off almost to the brink of extinction by a growing human civilization. Dragons left Earth in one massive trip to another planet capable of supporting life but which was quite far from Earth itself; no more specific records of travel has survived the thousands of years that have passed since the Great Migration occurred. Dragon society itself was ill-equipped to handle the human threat; contrary to popular human belief dragons were not warlike and lacked the inherent aggressiveness of the human race. As a result of this dragons were not prepared to defend themselves, and were quickly decimated by hunters and "crusaders". Many of the evils apparent in human society are non-existant in dragon society; racism, greed, and hatred are among these. The Protectorate of Drakonics is run by a King (King Wartorne) and Queen (Queen Shel'Kael); although these two dragons hold supreme power over dragon society they also are advised by an Inner Circle of various Representatives which are voted in by Drakonic citizens. Drakonics are a mix of dozens of dragon subspecies; these include various main types such as Westerns, Easterns, Wyverns, and Anthromorphics, as well as many genetic mixes of all of the above and more not mentioned. The Protectorate of Drakonics takes pride in it's superior technological advances in medicine and exploration. Cyberutopia, The Unified Socialist Republic of

The beginnings of Cyberutopia date to the Feudal Ages of Japan. During the Era of the Warring Clans, Hokkaido, seeking it's independence and looking to follow the lead of the many daimyos of the larger islands, broke off from the empire to pursue it's own future. Seeing no current importance in the desolate island, it's rebellion was largely ignored. Hokkaido wrapped itself in isolation for the next 500 years.

The nation now known as Cyberutopia arose in the year 2009, and quickly rose in the ranks of technological might. According to Cyberutopian clocks, it is now 2092. Many nations and individuals consider Cyberutopia their allies. The nation excels in education and all forms of freedoms, along with medical technology, military hardware, and information technologies. The current population is 1.882 billion and growing. Cyberutopia retains a strong economy which is heavily controlled by the government. The government is presided over by the People's Representative, who has little power and serves mainly as a spokesperson for the nation. All issues are presented to the public, and are decided upon by them. A council of Arbiters make up the judicial and legislative branch, elected by the people of each region.

One event defines recent Cyberutopia history, known mainly as the Cyberutopian Incident. An unknown aggressor incited dissenters within the nation to stage a takeover. These rebels assassinated the People's Representative and the High Admiral of the Fleets. After taking power, they imposed a strict authoritarian regime over the nation with a certain Overlord Cortez as their figurehead, but their influence reached no farther than the capital outskirts. Beyond was pure anarchy. Several nations stepped in to halt the chaos, and Cortez retaliated in full force. A nuclear device was detonated within the capital, anihillating an Aelosian army and turning most of the capital into slag. Belem is believed to be behind the nuke, but to this day denies any involvement in the crisis other than "peacekeeping purposes". Eventually the rebels and the loyalists met en masse and a massive battle ensued on the outskirts of the capital. In the confusion, the Head Commander of the Agents, Agent Four, along with the Aelosian Colonel-Commander Elfira D'nan and Thelasian General Thellas (pretty sure this is incorrect, will correct later) penetrated the enemy lines and succeded in subduing Cortez, but not before he turned his own army into scrap along with the rest of the city, and threatening the entire western portion of Cyberutopia with a large quantity of fusion explosives. Cortez was taken in, and has not been heard from since. The former Head of Defense, Duo Migashi, took the office of People's Representative, and Cyberutopia has flourished in a Golden Age henceforth.

Agents, The

The Agents are a powerful group shrouded in mystery, tasked with defending Cyberutopia and her allies. There were twenty original Agents, but rumors have been circulating that there may be as few as eleven now. Few of their exploits are well known, but those that are include the solution of the Cyberutopian Incident and the liberation of several death camps during Cortez's reign. Their weapons are highly advanced over the normal military's and many other nation's militaries. It is rumored they have paranormal ablilites, such as extreme acrobatics including dodging bullets and mastery of the psychics, but no conclusive evidence has been brought forth to prove such fantastical claims. Their common appearance is that of a figure donning black light armor, a facemask studded with sensors, and a pale gray cloak. Even if every shred of information about the Agents is falsified in order to better secret their true nature, one thing is certain: they are not to be trifled with.

The Super Acolyte is the primary futuretech fighter aircraft of the Space Fleet of the Anarcho-Syndicalist Commune of Lunatic Retard Robots. SAVX (as it is usually referred to as) is an old nation, with ancient histories going back for hundreds of years. However, until the year 736, the region that would become the nation was primarily inhabited by numerous bickering tribes and city-states. The people were united under Graz Mallad to ward off large invasions, and the people remained united since. This ancient heritage has held true to this day, as the people of SAVX are more militaristic than the average person, and are not afraid to fight for what they believe in.

The governmental structure has been revised numerous times, with different styles of economy and government being attempted but never quite succeeding. The current Constitution that dictates the nation was accepted in Jan 30, 1736. This document dictated that a lightly regulated form of capitalism would be used for the economy, that certain services--most notably education, defense, and law--would be controlled and funded by the government through mild taxation (OOC: Whatever the nation page says isn't the way things are really run; the tax rate only ranges from 5-25%, depending on the income bracket), that personal liberties would be upheld to the strictest degree, and that a democratically-elected ruler (the Führer, currently held by Hans Müller) would govern from the time of his/her election until his/her death. Should said ruler ever make choices that anger virtually all of the populace (requires a 95% approval), the Elite Civilian Guard would forcefully remove that leader from power, and the state military would not stand in the way. To this date, such an incident has only occured once, when Milo Cathcart was killed as a result of his resistance to the will of the people.

The geography of SAVX is varied; 25% of the land is desert/wasteland, and much of the rest is covered in at least semi-fertile land, with many luscious forests and wildlife preserves. Mountains encircle 32% of the borders, with 27% covered by sea. Three main rivers run through the nation, supplying most of what is needed for the populace. (OOC: Parts in italics for future-tech only) SAVX also has many land claims in space, mostly in the form of asteroids owned either by the government or the primary corporations. Numerous space stations also exist, with advances in hydroponics, nuclear reactors, and recycling methods allowing them to sustain vast quantities of life. The government also owns multiple, some more secret than others, depending on their purposes. Other small planets and moons are being explored and researched to see if they can support life with the aid of terraforming.

SAVX has numerous allies, with the most prominent being Euroslavia, Nanakaland, Exonerate, San Texario, CornixPes, Drakoniks (for whom we are the primary defense force), Witzgall, Icentom, and anyone else in the region of The Kingdom of the Midlands.

Technically, others had encountered the Stalkers before, but due to their habbit of boarding ships and massicring all peoples onboard, not very many people have seen them and lived. Thankfully, their mothership was destroyed and the one humanoid civilization on friendly terms with the Stalkers lost their fleet in a battle with SAVXian, Nanakan, and Techon fleets. Earthripper, The

The Earthripper is a fabled device, the inner workings of which are sought by many. The first of it's kind was created in 2011, the first step in deterring Cyberutopia's enemies. A second followed in 2049, though its existence is denied. It's power is immense, draining five major cities of all their power for a single burst. The most common rumor of it's core mechanics is that there is at least three -- probably more -- particle accelerators buried beneath a remote island, approximately forty miles off the coast. These accelerators are flooded with trillions upon trillions of tiny particles, and accelerated to the brink of the speed of light, upon which they are released in a coherent beam into space. There in low earth orbit, several dozen satellies, basically giant floating mirrors, direct the beam towards the designated target and focus it into a more potent beam, eventually becoming a thin, amazingly dense stream of particles by the time it reaches it's target, in about .0003 seconds. Once the beam impacts, it vaporizes everything below it before it implodes, becoming a solid plasma mass for a fraction of a second before imploding again into the vacuum it has caused, then exploding outwards, utterly destroying everything within a ten mile radius and three miles downwards from the point of impact, and causing massive infrastructural damage to anything caught in the blast for 100 miles outward as well as flinging plasma and liquified rock upwards and out of orbit. The effects upon a human depend on it's distance from the blast, the most mild afflictions being instant blindness and liquidation of the skin, all the way up to vaporization and what can only be described as sixth degree burns. The Earthripper has only been fired twice, in the Tordor conflict, turning the capital of Tordor and a major city into dust. Theoretically, this weapon could significantly destabilize the Earth.

Eredron, Confederated Republic and Principalities of


Although the geographic region of Eredron has been populated by man for thousands of years, it was not until twelve hundred years ago that a distinct national entity arose on the Eredron mainland. Now known as the First Kingdom of Eredron, it was created by the uniting of the various tribes that inhabited the eastern coastline of Eredron by King Lehir. The First Kingdom lasted for approximately one hundred years, before disease left the empire in ruin; over seventy thousand people are estimated to have died, including King Lehir III.

Although the First Kingdom continued to exist in some fashion for the next fifty years, warring factions within the Kingdom caused it to split into several city-states that vied for control of the mainland for two hundred years. It was during this time that a group of Eredrons left the southern shore of Eredron and arrived at the small island now called Ariin.

A thousand and fifty years ago, the city-states of Eredro(now New Eredron) and Jirac formed a second Kingdom, under the rule of two Consuls from the head of each city-state's ruling family. A relatively primitive legislative body was created from the merchant class of these two cities. This second Kingdom lasted for four hundred years, until it had engulfed the entire mainland and begun expanding onto the island of For'los. By this time, the two Consul-leadership had given way to one Consul, and the parliamentary assembly had slowly become a Senate.

The first great war in Eredron history arose approximately six hundred years ago, when Eredron colonists landed on the northern coast of Ariin and encountered the inhabitants of Ariin; a brief fight broke out, that led to the War of Supremacy. It was during this war that island of Ariin was declared a colonial possession of the then-Holy Republic of Eredron, with the Ariin government allowed to keep its position, with limited powers. Five hundred years ago, the Dominion and Principalities of Eredron was officially created. The Ariin government was forced to renounce any claims of sovereignty, and Ariin was forced to accept the Eredron Senate of Majorities as their Protector, with the Lord Consul Supreme acting as Lord Overseer.

Although minor independence movements continued to form for the next two hundred years, Ariin had largely been culturally assimilated by the end of the last century. The first Ariin senator was elected eighty-five years ago, although long-standing statutes prohibit anyone of Ariin descent to hold the position of Consul Supreme.

Today, the Confederated Republic now includes Eredron and four unincorporated principalities, and a growing faction calling for increased imperialism.

Torontonias was originally a Federation of allied states, all striving to bring the latest in modern technological advancements to all of its peoples. Eventually a rift started to develop between the three nations. The Capitalist Society and the Space faring peoples banned together to force the Communist Society to disband and amalgamate into the new nation, which became the Capitalist Oligarchy simply because the majority of the government is controlled by the larger corporations of the Nation, although a small, community elected Senate still reigns on most of the big decisions made.

Torontonias is proud of its small, but rapidly growing space fleet that has already gotten them to Epsilon Prime, the new administrative center of the Nation. The actual Earth Capital has fallen back in Political importance, but it is still the center of our Culture, Which is currently holding diplomatic meetings between Nations of Differing species.

TSP: Is the abbreviation for the Torontonias Space Program founded by Mark Waltzburg, in the Early days of space exploration, this program controlled all Torontonian Space assets, Eventually, however, the need for more defensive and weapon oriented ships called for the establishment of a second division to look over all ships that were involved in the Defense of Torontonian holdings. The TSP still operates today, although it now only commands the Science fleet and several outposts, which is still an important duty.

TSDC: Abbreviated for the Torontonias Spatial Defense Committee, the newer of the two organizations, it is charged with commanding all ships and structures involved in the defense of Torontonias.

A second-generation Christian, he was a devout Catholic all his life.

When he was 5, he me Catherine Santhanam, a beautiful, dark-skinned Indian Catholic girl whom he quickly became best friends with. With adolesence came, well, new complications to their relationship. The two married in St. Peter's Church, Junaklion in 1280, and had their first child, Joachim, one year later.

While David first intended to live the quiet life of a farmer, he always had an itnerest in the things of warfare and, fulfilling his duty as a citizen-soldier, rose quickly in the provincial militia. In 1295, he was appointed Strategos Strategon of the Syskeyian Army, subordinate only to the king.

That king, however, was Achilles the Apostate, Syskeyia's worst, and last, king. When the king ordered Mai-shirong to persecute Christians, Mai-shriong refused, for he himself was a Christian. When civil war broke out, David commanded the Christian/Parliamentary forces. Defeating the Royalist/pagan forces at Nova Ardea in 1303, David Mai-Shirong became the first First Consul of the Republic, serving in that office until 1313.

After the consulate David Mai-shirong wrote a history of the Syskeyian Civil War, Bellum contra Rex (The War against the King). As David's family had been well-educated and ambitious, David recieved a thorough education in Chinese and Latin. David's Latin in the work on par with Livy, Cicero, and Bede.

David Mai-shirong died in 1345, his wife a year later. His remains are buried in the crypt of Holy Trinity Bascilica in Syskeyiapolis. He had 7 children.

The awe-inspiring Empire of Baron is a strong coalition of powerful nations who have similiar ideals, or at least have the same interests. The many economic, political and military structures and the combined resources of it's member-nations allow it to weild a large amount of power, which it uses to protect and defend its interests both within its own region and elsewhere in the world.

With Regional togetherness comes responsibility and through majority vote, the Empire of Baron have created various intra-regional and international watchdogs, aid organisations, intervention organisations and defence pacts.

Amongst these are Baron Aid, a gathering of several major governmental and non-governmental aid agencies for the distribution of aid in Baron and overseas; the Baron Counter Terrorist Taskforce which was created with the intention of providing adequate intelligence and rapid-reaction to a growing anti-Baron terrorist threat and the Baron intervention Taskforce which has the duty of performing military and humanitarian intervention within and without the Empire of Baron.

The Empire of Baron has survived internal and external conflict, including a nuclear exchange, and numerous disasters. Throughout these, the peoples of the nations of Baron have held out and helped each other in the spirit of friendship.

Baron Counter Terrorist Organisation

The Baron Counter Terrorist Organisation is an intra-regional and international intelligence and rapid-reaction force created with the specific aim of combating terrorism. Initiated by Chimaean Governor Bryce, it has developed into an independant body which can call upon resources from all signatory nations.

Baron Intervention Organisation

An organisation consisting of several powerful Empire of Baron nations for the specific purposes of providing military and emergency aid to crisis situations in other nations, actively defending civil and human rights across the globe through military interventions and progressing member-nation interests.

Raised through a series of private & boarding schools, Damon Watts entered the Adderton National Guard at age 18, eventually rising to the rank of Captain. After serving for 5 years, Damon Watts entered the Diplomatic Core, serving as a clerk for Vice Minister Tern Horse, and eventually rising up the ranks to Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. During his tenure as Vice Minister, Damon Watts helped to draft several clauses in the famous Adderton Accords as well as to help reform the Foreign Affairs Department along modern lines. However, such reforms were reversed when Block Red was appointed to Minister of Foreign Affairs & State during the Redhead Administration. It was from that point on that Damon Watts took a break from government and served on the Adderton Symphony Board of Directors.

By the time Prime Minster Charles Beagle was elected, Damon Watts was already being consulted by members on the Board on running for Secretary for a third time. Since the moment of appointment to the Ministry, Damon Watts has made it his personal mission to fully connect the Dominon of Adderton to the world.

LINTHOPIA, THE UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF
The newly formed nation of linthopia is the product of a group of communists and socialists who left their old homes in the north pacific and moved to the newly discovered continent of New Scandinavia.
Four nations were formed, but after only one year, these nations entered a union and became the united socialist states of Linthopia.
Linthopia today has five states, since it was decided that the capital city Marx City needed its own state, since it wouldn't be fair if one of the other states got to have the capital.
Linthopia is a socialistic country, classified by the UN as "Liberal Democratic Socialists". The country is well known for hard laws against private enterprises (in practice, they are illegal), and a very liberal personal freedom and civil rights system.
The flag of the nation features a red background, representing the nations political standing, a hammer and sickle, symbol of communism, centered in the middle of the flag on top of a golden star. From each of the stars "arms", a strip of white goes out to the end of the flag, each strip representing a state.
The president is Vladmir Iltjivich, a russian-in-exile, and the prime minister Sandra Kelvan, a canadian socialist, and one of the few female prime ministers. All posts in the government are elected by the people, except the prime minister, who is elected by the parliaments (Linthopia has five parliaments, one per state, each with 379 members).

The Republic of Essenia, a relatively new nation, was founded by a group of settlers distressed over what they termed "capitalistic hate and imperialism". Its people swiftly moved to the Island of Free Freedom, where their ideals seemed to fit in. Taking a large stretch of land in between the Worker's Republic of Darranack and the Armed Socialist Republic of Militanar, they began the process of nation-building. Their philosophy is expressed acutely in Essenia's motto: "Peace And Justice For All Human Beings," the key world being all.

Some Militanarans thought the land was theirs, and the Government of Militanar, in a show of solidarity with the new nation, sold a long stretch of land in the far south of Militanar to Essenia. This, too, enraged many Militanarans, but the anger had no real effect on anything.

Essenia is a multiparty representative democracy, with a bicameral Parliament composed of the Senate and the Assembly. Both Houses of Parliament have 250 delegates. The Senate's delegates are elected from 250 districts re-formed every election to ensure equality of population. Senatorial elections are held using instant runoff voting. The Assembly's delegates are elected proportionally from party lists, allowing greater diversity of opinion than the Senate.

There are four major parties in Essenia: the Labor Party (left-libertarian), the Populist Party (left-authoritarian), the Libertarian Party (right-libertarian), and the Conservative Democratic Party (right-authoritarian). The UN classifies it as a Left-Wing Utopia, a classification that most citizens are proud of.

With the destruction of Essenia's embassy in the recent Militanaran riots, many challenges are expected to follow as Essenia's first major foreign policy venture - deposing the new rightist regime there - begins.

Adderton, The Dominon of

A quaint and small country, it was mainly settled by two waves of immigrants: the Sang Saus and the Aboriginies. The Sang Saus settled along the coastal areas with the Aboriginies holding the desert areas. Several centuries passed with these two factions never really growing a good liking to each other until the rise of Chief Wiggin Watts, whom brokered the Treaty of Charleston Cliffs, which helped to establish the Dominion of Adderton.

Since that treaty, several changes have taken place within the country. The Aboriginies have switched from herding only mustangs to cows, thereby creating a ranching industry that gave a mighty boom to Adderton's economy. The Althing has evolved to the Parliment, with the House of Lords changed to the Barony House, in order to accomodate with the pace of the modern day. A system of railroads was established in the interior of the country in order to link up the two coastlines as one national econmy. There also has been a growth within the Aboriginie community as several wealthy ranchers and railroad barons founded the frameworks of the Union Party, which currently holds the majority in Parliment.

Adderton, the Republic of

The state before the Dominion, it was mainly organized as a by product from the Alice Spring War between the Watts Faction and the Moorland Faction. The Republic of Adderton was a democratic state with the various leaders of the Adderton tribes meeting twice every month to pass laws and mediate domestic conflicts between various individuals/tribes. The Republic of Adderton ended around 1888 when the Wesport Negotiations was started between the Sang Saus on uniting the country as a whole.

Sang Saus

A confederation of coastal cities founded in 1632 by Wesport in order to counter raids from the Moorland Faction, later re-designed to act more as a customs/economic union. From 1698 to 1734, Sang Saus experienced it's first "Golden Age" due to finding of silver in the Yatzing Hills, located about 30 miles away from the boundary of the Great Barrens. This Golden Age soon lead to the raising of many churches, opera houses, government buildings, gardens, and music halls. the empire has a long histroy lots of it lost in the Civil wars, were to start let me see.
well the starts is a better place the anywere, at a time when the empire was young only a few 1000 people on a homeworld long lost and unknown a race only known to us as the Elders came to the planet. at first they seemed god like at frist and for 1000s of year they were treated as such.
mainy warlords of the corpsac race became powerful in this time known as the Keeper Age. the warlords made shore there power was safe by helping the Elders with slaves and other items. 100's of years of fighting with other warlords over slave trades, spice trades and even the lush but scarce Grass lands for food nearly killed the corpsac race off. the elders seeing this stoped the wars they had invested to much into the planet to just let the free labor die.
after 200 years a High pristest declared that one day a woman would rise and destroy the gods. mainy people didnt belive this but when a 14 yr old Slave girl killed off an elder and escaped people started to belive that the gods were infact not gods.
her name was lost but within 2 years she had made an army of 1000s declaring a jehad on the Elders and the warlords who followed them. most warlords ignored her so she had to make a statment so she attacked a city called Har'Dal under the rule of the most powerful warlord on the planet.
the battle lasted 2 weeks with a week llong staveing of the city after what the fight was short at the end of it she had the warlords cut into 4 and spread across the city with his head at the center tower. her brutal ways spread like wild fire mainy warlords scard the same fate was comeing for them joined her instead of fighting.
the elders fearing this started to fight offering a massive bounty on the girls head but no one would take it. soon the army was in the 100,000s and showed no sign of slowing she decided to attack an Elder city this was a first.
the attack lasted 2 days with her army defeating the pittyful defences but this attack was stupid it enraged the elders they assulted with full force useing weapons that to the warlords and the slave girls armys were magic but to the elders were plasma weapons.
the war with the Elders lasted for about 12 year in the end the elders belived that it was costing to much for what the planet was worth. after they left the Ex slave girl had died in the final battle but befor she died declared she wanted the people to be one to be ruled by an empiress or empiror.
it would be nearly 600 years befor the next records are found as the Mutiply tribes went to war for power. when the elders left they also left alot of technolagy.
600 years later the people had seemed in research by 1900 they were already planing there first colony off world. but the corpsac people were still devided there were now houses mainy minor houses but 6 major houses at this time Mayne, Narn, She'Klan,Sith,Necromace and Lykon.
after mainy wars houses fell and houses rised from the ashes, when the Houses started to lose money the Corporations moved in the major Corporation CorpSac took control after the goverments fell.
alot of weapons tech and combat knowing was a key to the new States, but it didnt last long the Mayne house took its power back bringing the old but at a cost, the homeworld was destroyed in the war and lost for ever colonies were lost and would not be found for 38 years.
when the Mayne settled the new homeworld the mayed the Slave girls dream came true the mayne house became the ruleing house of the Empire renamed the Dark Empire. the mayne declared that the houses no matter how small had a voice and the House chambers were made.
with the grate expance 6 of lost colonies were found but a war with a race known as the Kragoth lasted fora few months with the wrold being taken. more races were incorporated into the Empire until the empire was not one race any more.
the DESC (Dark Empire Space Core) was formed and the Space Marine Core formed. useing cloning to produce the Space marines were completly clones only being totaling at any time 2.6% of the population these troops were used in Exploration and fighting.

the Space Marine Core a rather new part of the DESC is used form defending space staions to Plantary Invadeing.
Made up of clones the force have more advatages then any other speices in the empire.
the first use of the core was in Clone Upriseing in the Lith system the units crushed the upriseing faster then it was prodicted.

Dark Empire Space Core (DESC)

the backbone of the empire then DESC commands and controls the fleets of the empire, tho each house has its own milltary they all answer to the DESC. Created after planetfall of 2nd homeworld it patrols the borders and systems of the empire and also commands expansions and explorations into the outer rims.
it does not watch over the Empires space police but it does work with them when it comes to stoping pirates and slave traders/raiders. it only escorts trade lines if its requested or if the lines are along dangerus and/or borders with other empires.

THE NANOCRON

The NANOCRON is a super-station built by the Boom-ville Imperial Exploration Division in 6805 standard Boom-ville temporal dating system. It is located in the Catarius sector close to the unexplored regions of space. It harbors close to 5 million of Boom-ville’s scientists, doctors, explorers, and other people who wished to be on the historic station. It is almost 1255 meters in diameter and 855 meters tall. It is built like a fortress. Complete with the most powerful shielding available, thick armor plating, multiple kinds of torpedoes (some bought from other empires), dozens of laser batteries, the most powerful communications and sensor arrays in the sector, and a small fleet to help with exploration and defense. It has a powerful impulse drive, but its humungous mass prevents it from going anywhere quickly. Its mission has been to be a scientific outpost and to collect data for the past 76 years. It has been upgraded numerous times and it is sometimes called, ‘The Citadel’ by visitors to the station. It allows visitors, but it has strict protocols and laws in place to prevent disorder. It has been attacked twice, once by the Nebularians and once by the Nectore invasion of 6833. Both failed miserably. It is an invincible fortress, and a wonder in this galaxy.

Sang Sau Dark Age, the

A period of history between the years of 1736 to 1789 that entailed the rise of the Catholic Church in the city of Sauport and the effects of that incident. Most historians cite the reason of the rise of the Catholic Church mainly from the election of Doge Egon, whom wanted to mold the city of Sauport into a military power in which the Sang Sau Confederation could become an Empire. Another theory that historians advocate as another origin point for this historical period is the rise of Bishop Riddan Mook's claim of "divine communications". Whatever reason of Sauport's sudden increase into psuedo-facist leanings, all historians agree on what occured after Sauport's Declaration of Divine Acquisition. From 1745 to 1760, Sauport started to conquer all the regions along the Southern Coast, eventually intruding upon Wesport's territory. From 1760 to 1770, all of the Western Coast Region fell under Sauport control with Wesport desperately asking for help from the Adderton Republic. In 1771, a token force was sent to help Wesport, increasing thricefold the next year due to Sauport's Invasion of the Southern Moor. From 1771 to 1783, all Sauport's acquisitions were soon lost due to the ever increasing amount of Republican support in Wesport. The war officially ended in 1787 with the fall of Sauport in the Battle of Drydan Creek. However, due to the squabbles within the Wesport power structure, Republican forces were withdrawn from Wesport, taking along with them much of the spoils from the Sacking of Sauport. In 1788, Wesport's power structure collapsed from various government factions vying to get back that "stolen" loot with the Treaty of Rich Ridge signed in early 1789 due to another pleading by the Wesport Council for Republican aid.

The Nation of Drizzts Army was formed in 1300 when a large group of drow Renegades reached an Island full of their resources they need to survive their new sancutary so they can grow the renegade drow peoples to escape the UnderDark of the World.

First Contact was made with the British Navy in 1756, and the ideals of Europe has reached the island after a long period of isolation, so the military became modernized again, and the studys of Learning, Science and Medical have been introduced to the renegade drow peoples. So years after First Contact, they fought in the Napoleonic Wars, World War 1, and also in World War 2 when the islands were attacked for the first time by Hitlers Luftwaffe. they remember WW2 as the struggle for Survival to the nation already at war for the first time. So after the War, Drizzts Army was again in Isolation with the NATo Countries forgeting the nation with the threats of The Soviet union and the Warsaw Pact. But in the years following the fall of the Soviet Union, Drizzts army joined the region called
The zoogie Isles which suprisely was next door to the island nation.

Today, drizzts army is a strong nation in the region and still comes on the defense against the terroist group LLF(Lloth Liberation Front) because thye want o overthrow the goverm,ent and restablish the Lloth ways and relgion in the nation which would destroy the freedoms of the nation.

An expansive and large spacefaring civilization, based on similar principles to Earth Western Civilization. Wormia was founded on a planet not unlike Earth, following a fifth and rampantly devastating fifth world war that crippled planetary industry and demanded union between the nation-states that occupied it.

The Federated Stellar Republics of Wormia then entered an isolationist period to last the better part of two hundred years, during which countless social, political and technological reforms would take place. This was in part due to the destruction caused by the nuclear fifth global war, most infrastructure had been decimated and cross oceanic communication was unfeasible for approximately 75 years. When 150 years between Wormia's foundation and isolation had passed, the government underwent a severe reform transforming from a democracy to a beneficiary dictatorship.

Wormia retained its Parliament to serve as more of an advisory committee to the dictator. The people retained few political freedoms, with the exception of the power to oust the dictator and elect a new one should he be deemed unfit for leadership. This event has occurred once during the disastrous and corrupt reign of Nathaniel Torrent. This governing system is in effect today, and has been wildly successful. The current leader is the somewhat centered George Thomas IV.

Following 175 years of isolation, Wormian leaders began to contemplate re-emergence into the world, but the idea was constantly voted down for the next 36 years, when Wormia built and sent the Great Chrome Fleet to seek out and make contact with various spacefaring nations. The Chrome Fleet was wildly successful with species who could percieve chrome as it is, a difficulty not anticipated prior to the launch of the fleet.
