Match of The day.
Giant Zucchini vs Lovisa
When Lovisa entered the Pheonix Arena and saw Giant Zucchini's team standing there, they must have thought they had a chance.
But then the keeper suffered badly, conceeding 2 sloppy goals in the first half, with his forwards unable to respond.
In the second half Loisa managed to pull a goal back before the quickest hat-trick of NS history was scored on behalf of Giant Zucchini.
The score remained 5-1 untill the 91st minute whena Lovisa striker fell in the box, resulting in a great penalty, which rocketed into the roof of the net.
Final score, Giant Zucchini 5-2 Lovisa.

Green Leopards off to Perfect Start in FT tournament
Pablicosta
After the earlier than expected start to the tournament- which appears to have meant that less media coverage has come from the matches played so far than normally expected as most media centres hadnt yet organised there representative's thoroughfare to the host nation, a major surprise has occured. Fresh from the third placed finish at the Baptism of Fire Cup, and missing no less than 5 players from that tournament's squad- who are currently applying themselves in The Handball World Cup, Lennon Marx opted to go for youth when it came to finding replacements for those five, none of the 5 players coming into the squad being over 22.
The Squad:
First XI
Craig Backshall (Los Alamino African Endangered Rhinos) GK, 30
Andreas Martine (Marxville Mongeese) DC , 21
Anton Nethanial (RodCliffe Rebels) DC, 20
David Johnston (Cartine Springs) DR, 19
Heinz Marx (Werbrone Wizards) DL, 20
Alexis Timms (Cartine Springs) DMC, 18
Alex Dunn (No club) MR, 31 (C)
Anil Shah (Palyton Pirates), ML 22
Brett Manye (Palyton) AMC, 21
Graeme Obrien (Dancraig Dinosaurs) SC 20
Hasan Sheikh (Werbrone) SC 27
Reserves
Tony Philpot (Duncraig) GK, 20
Martin Clayton (Dancraig) D/M C, 22
Mike McGurie (Cartine Springs) M R/L 19
Patrick Beck (Werbrone) DR 23
John Arles (Palyton) DL 26
Andrew Yang (Los Alamino) AM R/L/C 23
Rick Dawes (Ketoine Kickers) SC 21
The major surprise thus far in the tournament has been how successful this team has been. Having only scored 7 goals in the entire BOF Tournament, the Green Leopards have already posted 6 in their first two matches, conceding just the solitary goal in the first match against Talespin- goals coming from Hasan Sheikh in th 31st minute, and Martin Clayton in the 75th. The second match against unknown team- Team 13 was far more one sided, Sheikh on fire, nabbing a hattrick in the first 30 minutes of the match before leaving the field presumably to be rested for later matches in the tournament, and Graeme O'Brien scoring a stunning goal from 35 yards on a tight angle for the fourth of the match. When approached for comment by the much reduced press core captain Alex Dunn commented on the team's success "For a very new team we are exceedingly impressed by our performances, we thought the loss of five players would really cause trouble, but Hasan in particular has been excellent, and the team has fitted very nicely. We will be very interested to see how far we can go." The final match against Mattigool will be shown live, though it is unlikely to have a commentator present, as only two press members from Lennon Marx have arrived thus far in the nation. The winner of this match will most likely play Giant Zucchini, whilst the loser is likely to have their campaign ended by The Belmore Family.
Northern Caesarea
03-03-2004, 10:08
The proud selection of Northern Caesarea didn't begin well its participation on the tournament, but its great victory against team 12 (with an overstanding participation of its 18-year old star striker Fernando Torres, who scored both goals) has given the team the hope of winning an international championship. Euphory and enthusiasm reigns in the Northern Caesarean expedition, but national coach, Gregorio Manzano, warns that the next match will be decisive and that the team must concentrate as much as possible on victory, to classify for the next phase.

Northern Caesarea
03-03-2004, 17:42
Nothern Caesarea soccer team will play its quarter final match against Pablicosta, organiser of the Together Tournament. This team will have thousands of fans supporting them in the stadium and it the referee will have to support a lot of pressure.
Northern Caesarea coach, Gregorio Manzano, thinks that Pablicosta is an affordable rival and that the team must reach semi-finals by "legal or criminal ways". The team is preparing intesely for the game, at a peaceful mountain resort. Journalists and pablicostans are not allowed.

We, the Repubic of The Letter O, are outraged at the sudden disappearance of the letter "O" in this event. We agreed to be the head sponsor of this event and were guaranteed that at least Six O's would be present in the title of "Football Togethor Tournoment". Now there are only four!
This breach in contract was shown a total disrespect and absolute lack of regard to the people of The Letter O, and we are left with no other choice but to cut our funding to this event immediately. Just because we'll never see a 0 beside Pablicosta's name on the scoresheet, doesn't mean you have to take it out on it's alphabetic lookalike cousin. Choke on your A's, Pablicosta!

Northern Caesarea
04-03-2004, 13:11
Nothern Caesarea team has reached the semifinals of the Together Football Tournament after winning agonically 3-4 a match against Pablicosta, the country which organises the championship.
Pablicosta begun hard and at minute 30 they were winning 2-0. The first goal came because of a junior mistake of NC goalkeeper, Germán Burgos. And the second after a dubious penalty, which also cost the red carton to the defence Lequi.
But the team didn't sunk and never losed its faith on victory. At the ending of the first half, NC's star striker Fernando Torres scored an important goal.
On the beginning of the second half, Pablicosta did a great game and scored the 3-1 (m. 50), but five minutes later, Nikolaidis scored the second for NC. And, at minute 85, after a corner kick, midfielder Álvaro Novo tied the match.
When everybody was thinking about extra time and penalty shootings, Fernando Torres, with an acrobatic karate style kick scored the victory goal (m.92), wich gives Northern Caesarea the passport to semifinals.
