The Ministry of Jstice shut down and fired all employees in branch 20 today on the order of the Xanthalian Ministry of Social Affairs. Branch 20 of the Ministry of Justice was located of Than VI, and employed about 5,000 judges, lawyers, clerks, and staff. The branch was ordered temporarily shut down and restaffed after it was discovered that the branch had been taking bribes to aquit criminals of minor transgressions. The Ministry of Justice has re-arrested all those wrongfully aquitted, and has also arrested the staff responsible for the illegal bribe taking within branch 20 itself. Branch 37 and branch 39 will be handling cases normally sent to branch 20 until the court can be reopened, and the Ministry has issued a formal apology to the Xanthalian people for the actions of its former staff. Branch 20 is now unique as being the first court found guilty of corruption in Xanthalian history. The Ministry of Justice has assured Xanthal that it will be the last.
