The Craftworld re-emerges. Questions that need answers

The War was over and the Web once more secured, an emergency course change had hopefully had the desired effect and given the Eldar back their secrecy, still several questions still needed answering.

The most urgent was a simple how had the Tracking device made it onboard their vessel, had Menelmacar security been simply lax, and allowed the Yngir an oppertunity, or was something else behind the event. It was a disturbing thought.

Still such questions would have no easy answers, for now through other questions needed answering the Vaul fleet could be dispatched once more, to search the four corners of space for the Vaul Talismans.

another Fleet had been readied, the Harlequin Fleet was ready for launching, the sleek hulls of all thirty vessels, circuled the Craftworld before slipping into the web to await need.

Still the Craftworld advanced it's strengths, a new Vaul engine Legion was ready and had been tested bringing the total at the Councils command up to Seven Legions Thirty Six Knight Class, 4 Warlock clas and Eight Phantomn Class.

The final project would begin now the war in the web had brought one issue to the Councils attention, they had made many foes, and the Web and secrecy alone may no longer be enough to protect them, a bolt hole would need to be created, and they had such a place deep in the Ares Sector the Planet that had been discovered there would make the perfect place for a fall back position, and so Colonists where dispatched they would settle the world and prepare it in case all else should one day fail.

Once more then the attention of the council turned to the issue of the Noldor, and the unanswered question, they would have to uncover the truth now all that remained unanswered was the question of how... And at what risk would they need to undertake to secure the information they sought.

OOC: Good to see you back. There have been some developements in Ares I would suggest you read up on if you haven't already. Nothing bad though.

Of course, the Noldor had not been complicit in the bugging of the Harlequin Vessel. Their 'investigation' - probably using their typically ruthless methods - would only earn them the emmnity of the Menelmacari.

Shortly after the Web-War.

Numerous figures were gathered around a table. They were the major officers of the ‘Imperial Special Service’ otherwise known as the Deceiver’s minions. A youngish seeming – though they all seemed that, man – John Artego – was talking, “And so, though we failed to capitalise on the opportunity, operation parasite was a success. We can assume that the Eldar will be aiming to investigate Menelmacari complicity in the operation.”

“All the sims show that it’s likely,” said a blonde woman, sitting at one end of the table.

“Quite,” said the man, looking at an Eldar seated at the table, “Mel’nais, would we be right to assume that the same general approach as the Roanian ‘investigation’ would be taken?”

“I can’t see why they wouldn’t. I’d expect it to be fundamentally the same, but a hair more secretive. They’ll blame the Menelmacari for failing to locate the bug anyway-”

“Even though the Menelmacari couldn’t possibly have detected it even if they tried, it’d be like the medieval inquisitions trying to deal with a Menelmacari bug.”

“Even though,” the Eldar woman replied, nodding.

“Good, not a real surprise there. The question is what are we going to do about it?”

“Hang them out to dry,” Nais suggested, spitefully.

“Not an option, if you all check your panels for directive one eight four.”

“Menelmacar to be protected?” asked one of the men at the table incredulously, “Why?”

“You do not want to know,” muttered Nais, “it’s a really unpleasant idea.”

“Nevertheless, we’ve been ordered to find a plan for implementing that directive, in this case," Artego said, shooting an angry glance.
