VIGVAR, MONDAY – GRAND DUCHY VOIDS ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE KRS-ONE TREATY

Today the High Council has announced that the Grand Ducal participation in the KRS-One
treaty. This treaty of which the other signatories are the Vortex Corporation and the DDR of Knootoss promoted cooperation between the stated nations in the fields of intelligence and security services. The KRS-One was supposed to create closer ties between the Grand Duchy and the DDR upon initiative from the Vortex Corporations after the so-called ‘Shadow War’, which opposed the GDODAD and SATO forces over domination in Knootoss and which was solved by peace negotiations initiated and led by the Grand Duchy and the Vortex Corporations.

Today however, the High Council has stated that the ‘said treaty no longer respects the national interests of the Grand Duchy of Tarasovka’ and, by a unanimous vote, ended the Taraskovyan participation in the treaty.

UTHAR, MONDAY - TVC JOINS GDT IN UNEXPECTED MOVE

In contrary to what political analists had predicted, the Corporation has decided to actually join the Grand Duchy in leaving the KRS One treaty. By executive order of Council herself, the Daiamid Council was called to an emergency meeting earlier today, which resulted in a voting on the issue. In the end, 64% of all Daiamid councelors voted to follow the lead of GDT. In a statement released earlier today by Council, the following was to be read:

"...and though I extremely regret having to make this move, I, and the Daiamid with me, are determined in our cause. The elections in Knootoss are once again showing how much of a liability sharing intelligence with Knootoss actually is. And secondly, Knootoss has been moving towards friendship with Valinon lately, which is something that we find utterly unacceptable. Therefore, this will continue. If the Kiithid press the Daiamid to vote a second time, I will consider the use of my veto right, for this course of action is in the best interest of the entire Corporation"

However, little protest was heard from the Kiith 'Sa families. After their representatives in the Daiamid had voted on the issue, none of the Kiith leaders made any public statement, which has lead many to suspect that Council is using leverage on them, resulting from past favors.

There was no comment at all from the Knootian Foreign minstry. All officials denied comment.

No public comments were available from the three councils, however, it is believed that all of them are rather relieved that close allies as TVC & GDT are finally reducing risky ties with the rather unreliable Knootians.

"Although many nation appear to be deserting the Knootians, the Thelasi will not. We will remain a part of the Accord of Leiden, holding true to our friends and allies in the intesly democratic nation of Knootoss."

"We think a bond of friendship with Thelas is not something to be proud of. Indeed, we pity those who are burdened with such ties"
