A growth of Jagiellonia's economy was recorded.
The Liberal government cut the flat income tax from 22% to 15%.
The Liberal government made public nudity officialy illegal.
Francos Spain errected an embassy in Varsovia.
Euroslavia errected an embassy in Varsovia.
The Dracun Imperium errected an embassy in Varsovia.
In an annual poll, support for the Liberal government has been pegged at 61%.

Perhaps a trade pact is in order between our nations? Peace is never a bad thing, after all. Unless you're a superstate, but...oh, nevermind. What do you say?

Where are we located geographicaly? That's a hard question to answer. The Jagiellonian dynasty claims all of RL Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, the Ukraine, Moldova, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, and Croatia as its sovereign domain. However, I'm sure these territories have already been claimed by other nations. So I'm afraid I'm not sure how to answer your question.

Such a pact would pertain to the trade on our behalf of mainly technological components and weaponry, as these are our main exports. Several rare minerals can be found within our borders, in case that is a point of interest. What do you have to offer?

1) Due to Liberal overspending, the Jagiellonian economy goes into recession.
2) Elections are called and the Liberal government is ousted. Though many expected the Right Pact to win, The Democratic Left Alliance won a majority in Senate and formed the new government.
3) The DLA raises income tax from 15% to 19%.
4) Queen Issabella imposes a trade embargo upon Russian Forces for its opression of the Don-Cossacks.
5) The DLA increases federal funding for municipal police forces.
6) Queen Issabella passes legislation banning political parties from advertising and recieving corporate donations.
7) Jagiellonia and Kecha sign a trade agreement by which Kecha is able to produce and distribute automobiles in Jagiellonia, and Jagiellonia may produce and distribute software in Kecha.
8) Kecha errects an embassy in Jagiellonia.
9) Jagiellonia signs a trade/technological agreement with Cyberutopia.
10) Cyberutopia errects an embassy in Varsovia.

This is a baffling proposition. Unfortunatly, I don't think we have much to offer. We are only a modern tech nation, and I'm sure your nation has developed far beyond that by now. Still, if you are interested in such an alliance, we'd be more than happy to come to an agreement.

No, its not confusing, we are simply baffled by the fact that you are willing to offer us so much. What else do we export? Publishing materials. That is to say, industrial class printers and the like, that allow the production of high quality books, magazines, newspapers and the like.

A Summary of The Events of The Tenth Year

1) The Democratic Left Alliance, having plunged the nation deeply into recession through its tax hikes, becomes widely unpopular amongst the general populace. Elections are called, and The Citizen's Liberal Platform is called back to government.
2) The CLP cuts income tax drastically, from 19% to 6% in one fell swoop. This provokes an economic boom in Jagiellonia, as consumers greatly increase their output, and investors begin to pour their capital into Jagiellonia. The CLP's popularity sky-rockets, being pegged at 71% in the year-end national survey.
The CLP's tax cuts do have their negative effects, though. The main section the government cut its funding to was the municipal police forces. As thousands of police officers were layed off do to budget cuts, crime slowly crept to an all time national high, becoming the #1 issue of concern for Jagiellonia's citizens.

Nations Ignored By Jagiellonia

Ecological Terrorists: I recently informed this player via telegram that my government is considering imposing a trade embargo against him for declaring his nation to be a terrorist state. He responded that I couldn't impose an embargo upon him, because the entity he represents isn't a nation at all, it is an ideology, and therefore it is not bound by the rules which restrict other nations. He then proceeded to write that indeed he has a main settlement/base somewhere in the amazon, but it is completely self sufficiant and does not trade with outside nations, and therefore cannot be subject to a trade embargo. In short, he is untouchable. This is a blatant Godmod, and therefore Ecological Terrorists is ignored by Jagiellonia.

OOC: Hmm, that may not be true. If he Rp's as this gurrilla operation he may not be subject to a trade embargo. I mean how is the US going to impose a trade embargo on E.L.F RL? And don't give me anything about sticking up for him, trade embargo's are limited weapon at best...and this is an OOC post...whatever my insane Outer Minister may have been up to IC.

ooc: I'm sorry, but there have to be some limits. We're playing a game where we are playing the roles of nations, not abstract and untouchable ideological groups. Some may agree to recognize this player's concept as legitimate. I for one do not.

The 20th Year

In the recent federal elections, The Conservative Pact has replaced The Citizens' Liberal Platform as the governing party of Jagiellonia. The CLP suffered a humiliating loss, dropping from 51 (of 100) Senatorial seats to a mere 12. The citizens' sudden change of attitude toward Jagiellonia's "governing party" (the CLP has formed 3 of Jagiellonia's 4 administrations) is attributed to ill-timed tax hikes the CLP desperatly needed to cover its ever growing welfare program.

An update has been done, for those who may be interested.
