The Empire of the Iron Eagle of Akilliam is proud to announce that a deal for the purchase of naval vessels has been sealed with the Imperial Armed Republic of Ruhr. We have the greatest respect for the shipwrights of Ruhr, and their knowledge of all things naval.

The nine billion credit agreement will purchase the following: 2 SSNs, 1 FFGN, 2 MLRS Frigates, 6 ASW Frigates, 1 DDGN and 2 VTOL Carriers.

This deal will greatly augment the Empire's ability to defend its burgeoning merchant fleet. Dictator Aelius said today, "The negotiations with Ruhr were calm and collected, and overall a very good experience." Aelius later added, "We're proud to have worked with such a prosperous, good, and fair nation."

This was a lot of work for the night shift, but the duties had to be completed. The foreman shook his head and walked out of the door cursing. On top of repairing several ships, and completing several new vessels, they needed to begin work on what looked like an escort fleet for an allied nation. Well, looks like I'll get overtime, he thought. Walking out the door and into the dimly lit and spark-filled shipyard, the foreman bore his helmet and planned for the evening. Within six months, with the prefabricated pieces of the vessels supposedly already underway, the vessels will set sail on a maiden voyage bearing the honorable flag of Akilliam.

The foreman walked back into the office. After months have passed and gallons of sweat and blood poured into making the new segments of the Akilliam fleet, and the late-ordered and rushed project to both design and complete the Cocytus, he finally could get back to normal work on passenger liners and general contracting for naval groups. His task was done.

This was a rushed project for Akilliam and Akilliam only. As an ally, he is allowed to purchase military hardware from me as long as it was Role-Played out as best as it could. This is a sorry excuse for an RP, but it is the best I can do in the time I have had.

Cocytus Nuclear Powered Battleship (BBGN)

Class Summary:
The vessel, contracted by the Akilliam Navy, is first in its class. Along with large weapons and a vast array of missiles, the vessel can also be a mobile platform for intermediate range ballistic missiles. The Cocytus also has six nuclear steam engines powering three propellers, six helicopters, and three hundred multi-purpose VLS cells. Expected to be the flagship of the Empire’s fleet, this vessel set sail under its country’s flag and alongside the escort of the 1st Ruhrian Destroyer Squadron. (Secret note: This vessel has been equipped with a 50MT thermonuclear weapon to be used as a dead-hand system.)

Vice Admiral Drusus had been selected by the Navy to take formal command of the Cocytus. Admiral Lord Tiberius, the best naval officer in the Empire, was very much preoccupied with the Grand Fleet. Nonetheless, Drusus was a capable commander, and well respected by those who served under him. He was very proud of the honor that had been given him, the chance to take out the largest vessel the Empire had ever known.

He paused for a moment to give the speech required him by the Empire. "This is the greatest naval vessel in our history," he began modestly. "And surely one of the greatest in the world. Cocytus will be the terror of our enemies, and the hope of our allies. To those that hate us, Cocytus will pour death and destruction on their homelands, on the armies, and on their ships. But to our allies, especially in Ruhr, Cocytus will be the defender of all we hold dear.

"The thanks of the Empire go to Ruhr, our strong and good ally. The Empire, as a conglomerate of people, is proud to have had Cocytus built by such excellent shipwrights. With all the excelleny of Ruhr poured into this mighty vessel, we are certain that she will be the greatest vessel in the Empire.

"And, I have been asked by another ally of the Empire, Victoria Perpetua, to send a mark of commondation to our allies in Ruhr for the construction of their flagship, the Victory, and the supporting vessels that make up their first Fleet.

"And now, I, Vice Admiral Drusus, formally take command of Cocytus. Once again, the eternal thanks of the Empire are extended to the people of Ruhr. If ever there is a need, the blood of the Empire will be shed freely for the aid of Ruhr. Side by side, our people will fight in the trenches. Doujin would like to congradulate Akilliam on it's acquisition on the Cocytus, and would like to invite both Ruhr and Akilliam to the conference being held on the DN Behemoth (http://www.geocities.com/doujincorp/leviathon.html) by Doujin on Naval Warfare. Bodyguards are permitted, however weapons are not allowed.. you may bring tasers. Also, a NDA will be needed signing, as some privelaged information regarding projects of Doujinshi Corporation for the Doujin Navy will be released during these conferences.
