"In the coming month, 100.000 Knootian troops will sent to New Ruhr, in advance of a planned training session. The soldiers are members of the 13th infantry, 6th, and 28th mobile infantry, 3rd armoured and the 1st peace corps division. The 2nd Naval Fleet will also participate.

The Armed Imperial Republic of Ruhr intends to build Knootian defence forces, train them and equip them. There will be a Ruhrian Liason officer in each Knootian Company."

A Ruhrian appears on TV:
"The programme will mostly include training for the Knootian army."

1.547 billion people x 0,42% = an army of 6.497.400 soldiers. So its fairly limited.
However, I am willing to RP dividing the entire population by 10 IF everyone in a war/conflict would do that. That makes the numbers less idiotically high. That would make my Armed Forces
649.740 people. The number is increasing though, as I improve my military spending rating.]

With your military rankings, I would assume a 0.1% military, not a 0.42% military... except you want soldiers armed with pointy sticks & large stones.

I actually disagreed with The Hack on IRC, saying that you *can* have, and support a fairly efficient military, but not *that* large... 1.5 mio are far more like it.

I think I have gotten a legit case. and compared to all these OMG UBAR armies in NS this is still comparatively small :) Did I mention that this isn't a standing army? (well, not 100% of the time) ))

Interesting (edit: and irrelevantly random) fact: the Royal Iansislean Army Corps only numbers 100,000 men - and that's after a major expansion! (but then, no one cares about the bloody poor infantry...it's all about the navy!)
