Roy Meredith III, founder of The People's Republic of Diakaiju Island and and recently re-elected Emperor plans to teraform the islands filthy and oilslick beaches into a clean envirement, healthy for the the wildlife and safe for the islanders.
The Royal Navy has a anouced the founding of a new clean up secter in it's ranks. Thousands of naval officers and volanteers are expected to flock to beaches in the summer to begin the massive operation.
"It's vital to the future of our enviroment", says the 28 year old emperor,"that our beaches are kept clean". "And our people would be pleased if other nations could do the same to protect their enviroment."

Thye leader of the conservative sector of the socialist party of the nation, Ben Wornsoan, challanges this view and insists that the government should work on building new prisons.
"The enviroment can wait," he says, "Right now we must prepare our country for other things." It was this adittude that cost him the electionfor Emperor.
