Foe Hammer

Crewmen - The biggest problem in space warfare. Not so much their reliability, but the lack of availability. But, what if a single vessel could be controlled by ONE AI? That means automated damage control, automated weapons systems, automated sensor controls, automated everything.
Due to an advance in AI and EI technology in Foe Hammer, the newest model of EI units, the Self Acting Mechanical Intelligence unit Zero Four Seven, or SAMI-047, has had an increased rate of reliability, almost impossible reaction times, and has even shown signs of awareness at various times during testing. SAMI-047 is completely self-reliable, and is armed with leading Viral/Digital Intrusion safeguards.
The innovative Dr. John V'raelzek of the Foe Hammer Institute for the Study of Artificial Intelligence thought, "Why limit ourselves to human overseers? Why not decrease the deadly risks of sending numerous crews into the heat of battle when we can simply automate the process, and link the controls to one EI? Simply place a large control center in the Nordlund system, and have it act as sort of an 'Air Traffic Control' of space."
If the Council of Defense approves the plan to refit all Destroyers, Cruisers and Battleships, the vessels will be shipped off to Foe Hammer Shipyards, one of the largest Shipyards in the Milky Way, and the $14.8-trillion job will begin, expected to finish in anywhere from 2-4 years with the shipyard stations running at full steam.
(OOC: Open to comments, questions, etc. ABSOLUTELY NO FLAMING, PUT-DOWNS OR ARGUMENTS, PLEASE.)
