OOC: Just wondering. Who, if anyone, owns Ohio? Specifically Northern Ohio/Greater Cleveland.

The dark green and that sea green color are territories held by Menelmacar.
The blue region is held by Califonia and Alaska
The red is held by New York and New Jersey, now this is minus Ohio, I would have carried out the invasion but I forgot to, and that map was made pretty much before I got the chance to.

As the events unfolded before him King Gregory the First slammed his fist down on the table infront of him This entire event was unacceptable to him. The United States has been pretty much split up by several major powers with Ohio left to its own accords and defense. This intrusion upon Ohio by two outside nations was a complete breach of that allowance of self governance agreed to by the other major powers in the Great Split*. It was only a matter of minutes before Gregory was on the phone and yelling at the top of his longs so loudly that his nearby secretary could hear the entire conversation through the door which was supposed to be sound proof.

By midday a press conference was called in the capital of New York City and the Press Secretary Neville Sinclair was seen at the podium reading from a prepared statement. "The Federal Monarchy acting was a whole, will not stand watch as Ohio, which was given free governance decades ago, which has done fine on its own, shall fall into the hands of greedy expansionist powers. We demand that both nations begin to remove their forces from Ohio as a whole, or suffer the consequences of their actions as a whole. Ohio will continue to remain free and this freedom shall go unquestions by no one. Both nations have twenty four hours to respond to this demand or face serious consequences."

The troops on the border of Ohio were already at combat alert, the entire nation was prepared for war with a completely different enemy, this was just something unexpected but easily delt with. Federal Troops on the border with Ohio were not mearly border guards but the Vanguard of the Federal Army. They were stationed there for a reason, and this was basically it. No one was going to get away with ruining the tranquility that was established in the United States. Especially not these two nations.

It was the final message from General Ridgeways command as from here on out, nothing else would be listened to. Messages would fall on deaf ears as across the Ohio-Pennsylvannia border 17 divisions(10 infantry, 3 air cav, 2 mechanized, and 2 armored) began to advance slowly toward the border. They wouldnt cross just yet. The order had yet to be given, and no one wants to start a shooting war as of yet.

At airbases inside of Pennsylvaniva B-47M Stratojets began to take off. The Strategic Air Corps, a subdivision of the main airforce had been given its assignments, ranging from attacking suspected supply posts, to hitting troop concentrations and even parked naval units near Ohio. The Interceptor core was preparing for Wild Weasel and Air Superiority missions over Ohio. The Army Corps of Engineers had set up emergency air strips near the Ohio Border months ago where dozens of F-35 and F-111 Fighter Bombers were stationed awaiting orders. Now they would get those orders and would strike at targets across the board.

Free and indepentdent??? You yourself said that Ohio was next one your list of places you were going to take. You're no different then us!

You're more imperialist than us! We only wish to claim our homeland! The nations of Verboten Lufftwaffe and Crossman have never sought the conquest of others only the ownership of what is ours. I shall only lay claim to Cleveland and the county of Cuyahoga, along with its bordering counties that is all.

Captain get on the horn to HQ...tell them that if our majesty wishes to keep his homeland...We'll be needing reinforcements....Request the 1st Corp & 315th Armor Division supported by the 8th Mechanized Infantry Div. & the 57th & 120th Fighter Wings...

I'd also like to say if no one owns Mid- and Eastern Canada I'd like to claim it for myself- as a colony (and also because, at this stage anyway, my nation has no defined borders or any "real" territory to speak of)- and I would also like to say as a result of which I'd like to enter into friendly diplomatic relations with you NY&J.

OOC: I never said I sent in any people to begin with. And this was suppossed to be OOC to begin with. I still don't see why you're putting up so much of a fuss over something that wasn't even yours. All we want is a little piece of our RL home and you come in saying we're invading an independent nation. You said no one controlled it, meaning VL and I were free to claim it if we wanted. Then you got all defensive. Why are you out to make a war out of this? That's not what we want. We just asked nicely if anyone had claimed it, because if not, we would. If its okay for ther people to claim territory, why can't we? Do you honestly give a crap about Cleveland and Toledo??? Its not like we're going to use it as a staging point to invade you guys. Just lighten up. We weren't trying to invade or steal anything.

I have sadly decreed...That Ohio isn't worth the loss of my Elite forces (@ least to me). So i hereby withdraw all forces and claims to NW Ohio...you wanted it you got it......
