Having never bought any I can only hazard a rough guess:
go to the Nation States forum and post a thread asking to buy guns. Or visit a 'storefront thread'.
Gameplay questions go to the gameplay forum. If I'm wrong, someone there will put you right. Finally, the FAQ and the stickies are here 24 hours a day and won't insult you for asking n00b questions.
