Klonor Territory (OOC Space Information)

This is an informational thread, just so people can know that stellar systems I own. If you ignore future tech, or just me in particular, then this thread will have no bearing upon you.

A map of my territory.

*NOTE* Map does not show physical location, rather it shows systems as they exist in the Sub-Space Jump-Node network.

Deneb: This holy solar system revolves around a binary system of two stars, one of which revolves around the much bigger other. There are eleven planets, two of which are habitable, one inhabited by the nation of Lil miss. The smallest planet has three moons. Its location at the edge of a spiral galaxy, which is surprisingly far from the center of the universe, is propitious. This colonized system, widely known as Deneb, has planets with solid cores.

Gamma Draconis: This loved solar system revolves around a red giant. There are eleven planets, two of which are habitable, one serving as a military base. The most wild planet has six moons. Its location at the edge of a spiral galaxy, which is surprisingly far from the center of the universe, is dangerous. This hostile system, universally known as Gamma Draconis, has a bad reputation among the civilized peoples of the galaxy.

Regulus: This unique solar system revolves around a yellow dwarf. There are seven planets, one of which is habitable. The most gorgeous planet has five moons. Its location quite near the center of a spiral galaxy, which is in an unexplored area of the universe, is favorable. This inhabited system, known as Regulus, is stationed at an advantageous point in the galaxy.

Epsilon Pegasi: This deadly solar system revolves around a supergiant. There are a dozen planets, three of which are habitable. The smallest planet has five moons. Its location nearly outside of a barred spiral galaxy, which is immersed in an interstellar war, is unsafe. This high-tech system, widely known as Epsilon Pegasi, has an asteroid belt which separates the planets.

Ross128: This awe-inspiring solar system revolves around a collapsed star. There are seven planets, none of which are habitable. The most unique planet has hundreds of moons. Its location near the explosive center of a spiral galaxy, which is located near a whirlpool galaxy, is risky. This hostile system, galactically known as Ross128, has a bad reputation among the civilized peoples of the galaxy.

Tau Ceti (not on map): This holy solar system revolves around a blue giant. There are six planets, two of which are habitable, one inhabited by a non-Klonor colony. The biggest planet has hundreds of moons. Its location in the inner edges of a barred spiral galaxy, which is in an unexplored area of the universe, is unhealthy. This inhabited system, known as Tau Ceti, has several asteroid belts.

I hope this helps you in any future RP's that we might have together.

Also, let me rephrase my wording for those who don't acknowledge the claims of entire solar systems. I either live in listed systems, have military bases in said systems, or have various mining/research operations ongoing in the systems.

So..if I decided it would be fun to.. colonize Naos and Gienah Cygni, you would object to that?

Note: I'm back, I'm bored, and I"m looking for some kinda RP to waste my time on. Game?

I wouldn't care. It's not my system. My systems are colored in and listed below the maps.

But if you TG'd Guanyu and tried to colonize Tau Ceti I'm sure you could get some action

Note: I'll take the other one anyways. the nonclaimed one.

Last time you tried to conquer Regulus I scattered you all the way back to Dubbe, you sure you want a rematch?

I never tried to take Regulus. Did I?

Civil War thread. When you came in to "help" me quell the uprising you turned on me and tried to take over the system. Then Arbra did the same thing. But before Arba did I blew you away

I notice Sol has a single unstable "jumpnode" conecting it to the rest of the galaxy.........coincidence, I think not..... :P

I never turned on you, just Arba. You need to lay off the sauce.

Nope, you turned on me, too. It's just that you only had a small force there (all infantry, only a few Sheba's in space) since there was mainly ground combat occuring at the time, so it was over really quickly.

Hey, Jump-Nodes are naturally occuring. Don't blame me if the Sol one is unstable. In fact, if it wasn't for my Knossos portal keeping it open it would have collapsed centuries ago. You owe me a 'thank you!'

No, really, I was there helping you against Arba. I swear.

Speaking of which, what's his thing about seceding?

But if you TG'd Guanyu and tried to colonize Tau Ceti I'm sure you could get some action

What's that supposed to mean? Are you calling me belligerent? Watch it or I'll declare war!

Of course, you know I'm far from serious.

Hey Klonor, the Deneb system is where Dozle is attacking, right? Things have been quiet lately, but there is an LRR fleet close by, in case you need help. I got it there as soon as I could.

The Dozle war has been over since Jan (I think). I whipped his rear end

I'm correct in assuming the non-red/blue/purple ones aren't "owned" by you?
21-02-2004, 18:03
How did you make the cool map?
Klonor
21-02-2004, 18:13
Santa Barbara, you are correct. I only own the systems that are colored in (They are also listed below the map if your computer can't diplays color to well. It's hard to believe, but I have an HP downstairs that has display quality so bad I actually can't tell which systems on the map are mine. Well, I can tell since I already know they're mine, but I can't see their color.)

If nobody else has claimed them, you're free to take one of the systems (but beware, many of those systems have already been claimed by other people)

Nanakaland, I didn't make the map. I got it online from a web-site for FreeSpace2 (which is where I get my technology, ships, and FTL). Then I had a friend of mine color in my systems using Photoshop.

Thanks. I think I'll invade Deneb and Gamma Draconis.

I invented Stakehold so I could autoRP without having to wait for you.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. So, you'll fly in and get blown up? The government might be dead, but the defenses that are famous across the galaxy are still there.

27-03-2004, 21:19
No, you blew your own defenses up.

Can you give some info about Epsilon Pegasi (population, remaining defences, etc)

An entire LRR battlefleet should be able to defeat the automated defenses of Gamma Draconis, since there aren't any big ships there and LRR ships are very well armored, if somewhat lesser armed than other ships, the only weapons advantage being the PD systems and the torpedo systems. If the defenses pose a problem, the fleet will probably leave.

I'd say that, big ship for big ship, LRR and Klonor ships are evenly matched, but with smaller ships, there are big gaps in classes. We go from big 2km cylinders that can turn themselves 360 degrees in 12 seconds and manouver like ships half their size to 800m cylinders that can turn themselves 360 degrees in five seconds and manouver better than any ship their size to the 250m Camden class which is a relatively mainstream vessel which is nothing special to the David Byrne hospital ship to the Jungle research ship to the Robert Plant freighter/carrier to the Keith Moon torpedo frigate, which just belts out torpedos then runs away to the remote ships. They are weakly armored and shielded but heavily armed uncrewed vessels which take instructions from a more capable ship. They are used in first engagements to whittle down hostile ships while the rest of the fleet does other stuff, and as general cannon fodder. From there are the strike craft, very good ships that are robust, if kind of unresponsive to control input, most of all the corvettes.

Did you like that paragraph summarizing the LRR fleet?

if you did, you can read more about it here: http://s6.invisionfree.com/International_Mall/index.php?showtopic=96&st=0

The DN fleet will play it safe and keep away from these places for now, lawless places can be a very dangerous place. I can expect rouge ships will come for a good fight though.

No, I killed the government. Where does that entail that I blew up the defenses?
