Your nation 10 000 years before? (Possible RP)

Sebytania
15-02-2004, 10:55
Just got this idea from SB's topic "Your nation 2000 years from now?", but here you'll show up what was your nation (or the area where your nation currently stands) like ten thousand years before this day.

The area of Sebytania consisted of many different tribes, and the most powerful tribe of the all times was the Sep'jutan. This became later the name of the country, Sebytania. Sep'jutan was led by chief Wok'Bhok, a powerful man whose army took over many smaller tribes.

The area of Sep'jutan was huge, it had began from the town Sep'jutan (New Segety today) and as the people travelled to North in search of new hunting lands and arable lands.

Sep'jutans travelled to northwest, and were stopped by great mountains. From there, they turned to the south where they found new, strange animals, the Camels. It was a bit like the llama they had seen in the mountain area.

The Sep'jutans encountered some smaller tribes. Some of them joined Wok'Bhok's force, but some fought back. The resistance was crushed. After the Sep'jutans had gone too far, they encountered men who rode horses and used bows. The Sep'jutans could not fight back against this cavalry. They escaped back to the North, and the areas of Sep'jutan became smaller, but the areas where they lived, were very powerful.

Langham
15-02-2004, 11:10
10,000 years ago, Langham was known as Khandarus. Khandarus was ruled by two groups of people, which were the Barbarians and the Necromancers. The Barbarians were settled in the west and north. The Necromancers were settled in swamps in the south, the east, and parts of the Central Plains. The two groups were at war with each other for hundreds upon thousands of years. The Barbarians consisted of 43 different tribes, all allied with each other to fight the Necromancers. The Necromancers were just one nation under one banner. The Necromancers were led by Azekiel Amo. Azekiel Amo was one of the most fearsome men in the land. He led the Necromancer's with an iron hand. Bodies of the enemies were scattered throughout the swamps, found by later settlers. The land's name was changed to Langham 1,000 years later with settlers from distant lands.

Khandarus was huge. The land had many plants and animals to live off of. Several rivers flowed through.

10,000 years ago the wardumites lived in peace and prosperity with each other on planet wardum. then a huge civil war left 68% if the population dead, the politicians dead and the Monarchy very much in power. for the next 5,000 years politicans started to mumble about Absolute rule the Monarchs had. Finally this came to a head when King James Adams declared offical war (yes notice the name) with the order of Politicans (they were kind of guilds) but what he did not know or refused to aknowledge was the fact the guilds (all of the 500,000 guilds) were united against him. Whereupon he realised that the Politicains followed the law very carefully, so as not to oose their supporters. He introduced JA law wher he named the planet James Adams, and all future leaders/rulers/monarchs James Adams. the lawstated that anyone showing any aggression towards anything named JA would be thrpwn ion prison.Due to this the war was averted. finally 1,000 years ago a fleet of elven ships landed on the planet.they were seized and given high places in society when they were found all to be female, and the ruler of this convoy was none other then the grandmother of current emperor James Adams (formerly know as Krang). this elven blood in society has made nearly all the population of james adams become extreamly long lived very clever. finally in present day disention in the politictions is brewing again.

Dregruk

Dregruk was a vast, empty frozen wasteland, inhabited by dozens of different tribes. The most notable were the Germani, who were led by a man whose name is best translated to be "Grimzag Deathjaw". He united the tribes under one banner, and built the first great city, Ghastopol, which is now the nation's capital.

Don't be silly, it was a world of fun, unless you were a Great Walmingtonian Moose, in which case you were falling into extinction. The islands were yet to be discovered by mankind, of course.

I think I'd rather've been a Great Walmingtonian Moose back then than now, regardless. Of course, I'd rather not be a Great Walmingtonian Moose at all!

No worse a moose than a black-headed gull, which we've recently wiped-out. I didn't think it possible, but there you go. We may have to import some Malagasy Elephant Birds for want of further wildlife.

Thousands of years ago, the region of Ninjao was unified under a powerful emperor. Ancient Ninjao was far more technologically advanced than even we are now, but they tended to advance rapidly at one point, then stagnate for another thousand years. It was a scenic place, a rather large, hilly island (think about the size of New Zealand or Japan) with a particularly large mountain towards the center. Hundreds of millions of people called it home, living in massive cities eerily reminicent of modern Ninjaon cities. Interestingly enough, no records or artifacts of its existence remain, and the technology present at the time was lost.

Approximately 2700 years ago, the volcano in the center of Ninjao erupted. This normally wouldn't be too bad, but Ninjaons at the time posessed greatly augmented mind-over-matter energy manipulation abilities, and their overwhealming fear of destruction willed the volcano to erupted more violently than would be naturally possible. Molten rock covered the island and almost doubled its size. Less than 1000 people survived, and escaped to the tiny, nearby Nova island. They moved back to Ninjao a few generations later, and began the medieval period of our history. Modern Ninjao, including the allied Shogunate nation-states of today, grew out of that civilization. Aside from our subtly cybernetic physiology, we share no commonalities with Ancient Ninjao.

[This will be popping up in a fantasy/sci-fi RP pretty soon.]
Foe Hammer

10,000 years ago, Foe Hammer was still part of many nations.

750 years ago, many exiled from their opressive homes and fled to a large island. A charter was established, and that grew into a constitution, which set the foundation for Foe Hammer

Today, Foe Hammer is a sovereign interplanetary superpower, with one of the most powerful Armadas in Nationstates. We excel in shield technology, AI technology, Gravship technology and other fields.

Long ago, there was a prospering and extremely advanced civilization consisting of sapient cats. They advoided humans, lived deep in the wilderness, and left almost no traces to this day because they used almost no materials that were not biodegradeable. They prospered for millenia, until incursions by human tribes in their area drove them to dispersal. Later, they were discovered, and along with humans and other sapient species, formed the Democratic Arcologies of Feline.
One Red Dot
15-02-2004, 17:35
10,000 years ago, when the sea level was much lower than the putrid lands we live in because of the ever-increasing threat of Global Warming and such, One Red Dot was a large mass of land, much different from the mainland and other 65 islands that are present now.

Where the Gweridijongia Desert is now was a large rainforest. All of it is gone now.

The people living on the coast - which is now the Satyit Island Chain, were mainly subsistence fishermen, living off the sea and surviving on the land.

Inland, there were many tribes. The Gweridijongia tribe was the most powerful and were to become the only indigenous people left on present day One Red Dot.

Santa Barbara

10,000 years ago is easier for me to describe than 2000 years from now. Hell I don't even know where my nation will end up tomorrow morning.

10,000 years ago, there were no humans in Santa Barbara (which is a continent). Humans didn't settle the place until about 500 BC. But there were, however, a short goblin-like race that would later be called the Dolug. Not much about them is known, except they bred in large numbers, lived in the arid and semi-arid regions (digging underground cave networks, hence goblin like) and possessed basic tool use, i.e spears. It's unknown whether they made fire, or had religion. They did have language.

The later human settlers came to respect their boundaries, and only concentrated on the coasts (they were seafaring islanders anyway). But when the Spanish came to settle the place, they naturally enslaved the islanders, only to find themselves immediately in a long war against the Dolug, which they won. In fact, they exterminated the Dolug completely, leaving so many questions about them unanswered.

Also, 10,000 years ago, the Ancient One was here. In fact, the Ancient One was here starting at least 40,000,000 years ago. But it's role in the past is murky at best (as it is in the present.)
