The Planet of Lithium Prime

Lithium Prime, a rather large planet with a small (but growing) population in the iron grip of a tyrant (the tyrant being Emperor Nefer II), the second planet in the Reith System in the eternal orbit of a yellow star of no real significance the planet of Lithium Prime had no doubt a code designation in the dusty logs of the various Star Empires in the galaxy. Lithium Prime before the first humans landed on the planet to colonize was a planet with a barren landscape of endless grassy plains and stable and moderate temperatures and a healthy atmosphere. In the three centuries of human habitation Lithium Prime had changed.

Large portions of the planet had been zoned and mapped out for the construction of an seemingly endless stream of factories and manufactoring plants to produce raw materials and goods for off world sell and trade. Already the capital city of Nogi was the center of Lithium Prime manfactoring and was the location of the planets largest space port. The planet population of five million was not much of a workforce considering that the planet was the size of five Earths put together but that was being rectified by both the size of the planet and a new sense of pioneering spirit the Emperor was infusing his people with.

The ancestors of Lithium Prime were from various Star Empires of oppressive rulers who left for various reasons. Lithium Prime was a backwater planet in a system of little interest as it only had 7 planets and only one fit for human habitation and it had little in the way of comforts. Making it a haven for thieves, crooks, killers, space pirates, and whores who all called Lithium Prime home and upon the flostam of other nations Lithium Prime was built.

Old patterns die hard as within a century one of the criminals was able to create an organized military force and took the title "Emperor of Lithium Prime" and founded the royal dynasty to which Emperor Nefer II was decendant. Three centuries have past and Lithium Prime is poised to become an industrial giant with a vast amount of wealth and money for anyone willing to take some risks and exploit the opportunities available.

But the question was who.
