13-02-2004, 10:58
Ostwind Foreign Minister Bengamin Doga made the following speech infront of news cameras and the African Union Today. " Today is a great day for my Homeland the Democratic Republic of Ostwind. We have thrown off the yoke of colonial and tribal control and have formed a great nation amoungst the war ravaged lands formaly controlled by Malawi. Our people are strong and willing to work towards a greater African Union. As such we declare that our borders are open for trade and hope that the elder nations do not see this as an oppurtunity to increase the woes of our brothers by instigating agression toward our people."
When pressed on Ostwinds attitudes to its new neighbours the Minister said only. " We are a peacefull nation, and look to our borders with hope and understanding, The birth of Ostwind is a new start and previous attitudes of our people to those that engaged in the terrible war will not cloud our judgement."
