The Illuminati (closed RP; 1 bil+ nations can still join)

The Resi Corporation
12-02-2004, 07:02
The time was 12 o'clock, high noon in the tourist nation of Bandonia. Here a certain someone by the name of Dawn Kradii was taking her vacation while mainland Resi was being trampled flat by a giant biomech. Dawn lay on the beach sipping a margarita, not a care in the world, listening to the waves lap up onto the beach and seaguls caw out their insane laugh. A group of surfer men passed, pausing momentarily to wolf-whistle at Dawn's bikini-clad body. Normally she'd order them to be executed (as the Secretary to the CEO, she had such power), but she wasn't in the mood. She was on vacation, and so should be her urges for murder. However, the tranquility was about to be shattered by a voice, the voice of Dawn's servant.
"Miss Kradii, you have a phone call."

An hour later, Dawn was in her full business suit heading for the Vista del Océano hotel in her black stretch limosine. In the back of her mind she regretted ordering to have the servant killed for interupting her rest, but she justified it as having to maintain her tough image. She didn't even know why she was being called there, but knew that it was "Official Resi Business" and that it was "Very Important". The way her late assistant had said those words reminded her of words stamped on a page, capitalized, and embrazined in bright red ink. She guessed that she should've had her R-Bots extract more information before they beat the assistant to death, but hindsight is always 20/20. In any case, she had to her best for whatever kind of meeting this was.

Stepping inside the hotel, she remembered the instructions she was given. "Floor 30, Room 3025, knock five times, floor 30, Room 3025, knock five times..." she repeated in her head as she pressed the key for the thirtith floor inside the elevator. A little panel sliped open where Dawn quickly pressed her thumb, then retracted her hand. The elevator then suddenly lurched up like a rocket, and in a matter of seconds she was on the 30th floor. Stepping out of the elevator, she looked around and noticed that there wasn't a soul anywhere in the asiles on this floor, whoever scheduled the meeting must have made this a private floor, which explained the fingerprinting. The stillness around her frightened her, and, as she disliked being frightened above all else, she quickly proceeded to room 3025.

Finding the door, she knocked on it hard five times, causing it to at once swing open and reveal a burly man wearing a suit, and a simple mask made out of what appeared to be aluminum. "Here," he grunted, handing Dawn a mask like his own, "You'll need to put this on before you go inside."
"Waitaminute," Dawn said, startled, "Is this some kind of masqurade party, because I was under the impression that this was a serious meeting of some kind."
"Oh yes," the bouncer replied, "This is a very serious meeting indeed, so serious in fact that we can't risk showing the identity of anyone involved. So put on the mask and don't ask questions."
Dawn made a mental note to kill the man later, she didn't like being pushed around by those who were obviously her inferiors. However, she did take the mask with a touch of indignity from the man, and placed it snugly on her face before stepping inside the room.

The room was dark, and inside there was a long table with similarly masked figures seated around it. The only light was from candles positioned in ornate candleholders on the table, which cast a mysterious glow to the room around her. Dawn's breath was taken away by the wonders that surrounded the company seated at the table. Charlemagne's sword, the helmet of the Black Knight Edward III, an old map of the East India Trading Company; this room was a varitable treasure trove. In awe, she took her seat with the others, upon which the figure at the head of the table announced in a frighteningly familiar voice:
"BROTHERS AND SISTERS! We are finally all gathered here to witness the rise of a new family of power, wealth, and prestige. Should you all agree to work with me here, we will become the cheif underworld organization in the world in a matter of days, simply because of tha affluence that you, our members, hold. Each of you is in a vital position that our organization needs to function, so I will ask you all to join me here of your own free will. If you should refuse my grand offer, our doorman will be happy to use a devise of my own creation, one that will whipe all memories of the events that took place here today. But I am sure that you all will join, given the benefits of this union!"

((OOC: You can RP characters around the table here. All of you who wish to join simply state the name of your character, and RP out a few of his/her thoughts about the situation. One should note that this is a character RP that may have political ramifacations in the future, and that all of this is HIGHLY SECRET. No one knows anything unless they are in the meeting.))

It had taken no inconsiderable use of the resources of the Rebellion to get Leper X to this hotel room. But it was worth it. And what the Anonymous Leper brought to the consortium in the way of biological, viral, and chemical engineering was unique-- unduplicable by anyone except HIM. And HE had no idea what was going on under HIS nose.

Leper X settled more deeply into the chair. Unlike the others here, there had been no need to supply Leper X with a mask. The all-enveloping black cloak and hood of an Anonymous Leper defied identification more thoroughly than any mask. And no one, ever, wanted to see what was under it. The amorphous shape underneath might have been human-- once. But no one cared to know.

Leper X watched the others arrive. The seats on either side remained empty for a long, long time.

Stella Natuaria sat around the table, masked like all the others.

"I wonder what is going to happen? Such an interesting manner of going about the meeting."

Another person entered, taking a seat at the table. The person walked with authority. Stella felt a twinge of concern. Whomever this person was, they were important, and it showed just by her walk.

Stella sat with her back straight, observing fine details, yet maintaining an air of concern.

OOC:
Is it alright if I enter? If not, then I will edit this little post.

Lee Natarin looked around at those at the table as he sat down. There were a few, but those there looked as if they demanded, and expected respect.

Lee smirked. He was fine with that. He was exactly the same. After all, he didn't become the head of Valient Department of Extra-normal Operations by being someone's else's whipping boy.

And now, here he was preparing to become part of the very underworld he had sworn to defend against.

Lee smirked again.

*A masked covered her face, but her gray furred cat ears stuck up out from around the mask, identifying the wearer as a Neko. Her hair was a pale blue color, dropping down to her shoulder. She wore a simple white blouse with a light blue skirt, with a darker blue small mantle drapped over her shoulders.*

???: I wonder when this will be over?

The mask he bears upon his face was not like the others but of his own. He showed no fear to the others to show his identity, as the leader of a nation where his whim is law, his death would not end what he had started. A religious revolution, and if he should die or be killed, he would just be considered a martyr for the cause. Other than that, if he should die, he made sure that everyone in the building, and a mile radius of the area would be annihilated. Such was the extreme precaution of one with extreme paranoia.

His mask was a deep blue color, and was draped over his whole head, save for his eyes which pierced through it with his icy gaze. The flickering lights of the candles revealed the mark of a red cobra head was placed across the face of his mask, the symbol of his country, and of their growing religion. His black pin striped suit extenuated his broad shoulders, and hid his muscular physique beneath it. Though he was hiding more than that, especially behind his mask. His hands were covered with black leather gloves, tightly fitting over his fingers making it seem like a second layer of his skin.

The invitation to such a gathering of other world leaders seemed quite interesting to him, and would have held everyone hostage if he still lived the life he had before. But he was reborn, not only was he a megalomaniac, but also a charismatic spiritual leader. Millions congregated to hear his preaches, and many more have totally submitted their lives to follow him. He did not need to use fear, nor gold to gather a vast army, now he had a whole nation to fight for him as his fanatical zealots.

He wandered what his position was if he did join this group. His skills in battle has been tested many times, though it was flawed, he did learn from his experiences, and has exceeded his previous expectation. Now with a rather calm, and spiritual mind, his tactics was now more ruthless as he ripped his opponents limb by limb, shattering forces, terrorizing the other army with very gruesome psychological warfare. He tortured them to defeat. His new persona as a contending spiritual leader perhaps. His way with words though simple was effective, and very marketable, that his ability to persuade and convert people was frightening. His philosophical view were similar to Aristotle, but was incorporated with many of the oriental disciplines and religions. He had several attributes, and waited for the figure at the head of the table.

If he was a snake. He was the mythical hydra since he had the ability to strike at different times and angles.

OOC: Ah, yes. Conspiracy theories, where would we be without them?

IC: The man was obviously an intelligence operative of some kind. His very normalness made that much clear. Physically, he was average in every imaginable way. The kind of person who a normal citizen of any human nation would overlook quite easily. To a trained eye, however, he could be seen to be just a bit too average, and in this case, not on the job, his mannerisms and aura were obviously not average at all. Carrying himself with supreme self-confidence and a cold, analytical way of movement that gave him a certain undeniable presence, he sat at the table. As he listened to the speaker at the table's head, his mask never once shifted to indicate a change of expression. A few near him, despite the mask, could easily imagine the cold, piercing gaze that would be visible if his face were bare.

Kollontai watched and listened and carefully recorded, dated and stamped every detail he could sift from the meeting into the elaborate filing system he had made of his mind. He had come not because of the "Extreme Importance" and "Eyes Only" markings on the invite, but because whoever had sent it had known to send it to him personally. This worried Kollontai.

He was no great leader, or mighty financier or warrior. He merely watched and listened and took careful notes, and perhaps six months after meeting some new powerbroker, after they had forgotten about his mediocre existence, they would recieve some little request from someone they could not deny. Or they would be asked for a little information to prevent some little scandal from leaking to the press. Or they might even recieve some information about a potential rival gaining power. Kollontai now held postions in dozens of boards and ministries, positions minor enough so as to give the illusion of powerlessness, yet allowing him to sit in on the meetings and conferences, where he would watch and listen and take careful notes.

Yet this worried him. Throughout his career he had been certain of his secrecy, yet this showed that no matter how carefully he had been operating, someone out there had been watching and lisening and taking careful notes about him. Behind the mask, the irony provoked a bitter smile.

Interesting... she thought to herself silently as she drew the black cloak closer around her. Her face could not be seen, but it was obvious she was a woman. There was a symbol upon her hand that appeared to be that of the sun. Her nails were not exactly long, but of medium length and sharp. Upon her right hand was a ring with an amber stone set in gold. Her skin was rather pale from what could be seen. a strand of deep black, wavy hair could be seen from the edge of her hood. But that was the only thing.

She wasn't a big figurehead of a nation, she perferred working behind the scenes. Kyra watched and waited, keeping silent. Sounds like a good proposition...but is it worth my time?

He sat at the table. His true identity had long since been forgotten after decades of various desguises. He was a master of his trade and his trade was espionage. His current alias was under the name "Marc Brown," but he prefered to go by the name he was called by from all who knew who him as a person who switched identities every once and a while. He went by Agent Skull.

He wore a mask, however after decades of plastic surgery and wearing realistic face-like masks and wigs, it would be rare for someone to reconize him. Agent Skull had once been a prominent political figure so long ago that it seemed like another lifetime. Now Skull went around, posing as government officials or other important people to get what he wanted. Skull always got what he wanted....

[OOC: If you don't like it, I'll change it or get rid of it. My character has a real name, but he goes by various aliases. In this RP, he goes by his favorite alias, the one that replaced his real name - Agent Skull. Skull's real name will be given later on and it may come to a surprise for those of you who know Nanakaland history from April.]

Sandra sat at the table with a small PDA-like device organizing the messages she accumulated while she was gone, she sat with a smug expression knowing that even with this silly mask on that some of the people had known who she was. It was only days ago that she authorized General Marx to supercede the decisions of the Parliament and forgo the war on Mozambique & Madagascar. She sat reading her message from Xander.

Miss President, it is with utmost pride in the sovereignty and the armed forces of our nation that I bring these news. We have set up a deal with our allies and acquired two strips of land along the eastern coast of the South African Republic and have annexed them into the Transvaal Republic. Also We have consolidated the ports and shipyards of Durban and have established the Durban Naval Base. Within weeks we should be assigning some of the inactive ships to the port as the Transvaal Fleet.

Also Miss President, I also have news of the military operations in Iran, Oman & Yemen. After our ally signed them over to us we have stepped in and taken leadership of those new Republics. Within months we should be establishing military installations throughout those republics. Our forces that are prepping for the Mozambique & Madagascar war are almost ready to go, we will be crossing into Mozambique in fourty-eight hours.

With that she closed her PDA and asked "So, what is the purpose of this meeting? I have my armed forces preparing for a war in Southeast Africa and other forces securing territories in the Middle East."

IC:
"Yes, I'm getting to the purpose of this meeting," the man said, with a dismissive wave of his hand directed at Sandra, "believe me, your war is near the top of our agenda. Anyway, as I was saying before my flow was interupted, all of us gathered here today have a position of power in our home country, a position that gives us considerable influence among our people. Now, we all want two things here, along with every other thinking creature on the face of the earth: more power and more money. We however have one thing that the rest of sentience does not: ambition. This organization that I am proposing will have one goal that coincides with our two needs: to work as a group for the individual gain for all of our members. We will produce money for our little organization by framing smaller nations so that our larger nations can invade, by forcing trade deals with assassination threats, and even possibly "replacing" heads of government in foreign lands with our lackeys, among other things. For you all see, we are blessed with ambition, and with this ambition we can conquer the world from the shadows. We can control the stock market, we can control mighty corporations, we can control Middle Eastern oil empires," the figure nods towards Sandra, "we can control everything from behind the scenes. You all have your issues that I'm quite sure you'd want dealt with, and we as a group will turn them to your best advantage. For we are the ones with the knowledge and ambition, we are the Illuminati!"

After waiting a moment for effect, the figure continued, "Now would probably be a good time for those who don't wish to be a part of this to leave the room. For those of you who wish to remain in the know, the next order of business will be discussing your greviances and deciding how to direct our alliance."

There was always an impatient one. Natsu smirked to herself -- not that anyone would be able to tell, given the all-enveloping cloak and cowl of crimson shadowsilk she wore, a garment chosen primarily for function. In her profession, it paid to be paranoid. After all, someone was definitely out to get you, at any given moment. The real trick was in knowing who, and when.

She did, however, wear the mask she'd been presented -- over the cloth of her cowl. It amused her to do so, and tradition was rarely a thing to be lightly mocked. Not without understanding the full impact of said mockery, at least.

Mat Heath pushed one last time, and broke the 100 mark. He made it a point to keep himself physically fit. 14 years in the ICMC did that to you. Mathew Ryan Heath sat up from the push up position, and took a bottle of water from a tuxedo clad man. "Thanks."

"My pleasure Master Heath."

Heath was by far the richest man in Imitora. He had been luckey to go to OTC instead of enlist with the ICMC, and got a law degree after spending 12 of 14 years in as an ICMC scout sniper. And he also knew how to play stocks. He was athelticly built, and the only area he had laxed in was his hair. He now let his brown locks grow past standard cut.

He read over the invitation again, and stood. "Gotta get dressed."

Several hours later, he sat in the darkend room, listening to the man with intent. So they are real, he thought to himself. And I thought Tomb Raider was all fiction, as well as a crappy movie, he chuckled silently. He wasn't going anywhere. He was young, rich, fairly good looking, and had to many opportunities.

He watched for others to leave.

Sandra returned the nod and spoke. "So far, my nation has managed to acquire territories worldwide unchallenged, and I prefer that route. As soon as my own little organization is large enough, my forces are going to make a strike in the most unlikeliest of places. Needless to say that in the not to distant future I, myself will be planting my flag on the island of Luzon.

She paused for effect. "So, how many others here in this room are the leaders of an expansionist empire? I for one am not afraid to admit this, for roughly two centuries since I cleaved my nation from the United States, Canada and Mexico I have considered my nations legitimate boundaries to be the Mississippi-St. Croix Rivers. But because I have been denied an integral portion of my nations land, I have sought to compensate with the territories of other nations. And through this I will strengthen the supremacy of my nation."

Sandra's PDA beeped with a low-ring and she sat down to check her messages.

Miss President, I have great news. Officially as of 5am Transvaal Republic time we were engaged by Mozambique militants just minutes west of the border, as of the moment we have then on the defensive… their capital Maputo has been occupied and their leaders imprisoned. The city has been renamed Devnostragrad in your honor, in a few hours we will be launching stage two of Operation Kingslayer.

After reading the messages a smile came across her expression. "Well ladies and gentlemen, It seems our party has started early. The war in Southeast Africa has begun!"

Thaddius T. Third V was a man of great importance in The Captain. As the founder of The Billionaire's Club on his own private island, Third had many connections to powerful people in the world.

But some rumors were circulating that there was a greater power that was governing many nations. Not The Captain, Third thought. The Senators are content with ruling over a few billion people without the help of an outside influence. They're evil enough as it is.

But even still, Third felt that he had a responsibility to influence the nations of the world. Although he was currently tied up with business and his Billionaire's Club, Third decided to send his senior executive partner to get a feel for things.

Leper X's voice might have been a pleasant tenor (or possibly alto,) if it had not been so totally devoid of human inflection or warmth. As it was, it had a chilling quality to it that did not match the mildness of the words.

"The Anonymous Lepers have but one goal--to restore the humanity of our people. But to achieve it, we need first to accumulate great resources of wealth and power, and secondly, to destroy Eldrad the Supreme. These matters will not be easy. Nor can they be achieved swiftly."

"For now, we offer to this group an unparalleled expertise in biological, virological, and chemical engineering. Our resources in this area are those of the Kastrian Empire before its destruction, as the Rebellion has access to all of the technology of Eldrad."

"We propose to act as technicians in assisting this group to produce the desired results of all members. We would of course expect an adequate remuneration in.... resources. This will enable us to achieve our goal. When we achieve it, we will be able to contribute even more to this group."

"If we are welcome, we will stay. If not, you should probably destroy this unit. A replacement will be activated."

The figure in the all-enveloping black cloak and hood was again silent.

There was obviously certain areas they specialized in...one which she knew that they were in the top ranks for was assasination. She chuckled at the thought. Yes, our nation can kill off people... she chuckled allowed softly.

"Our nation has been known to be pretty clean and quick with assasinations..." she said with a smile, and turned toward Leper X. "We may be able to help you with this Eldrad...though that may be discussed later."

Lord Byron was travelling in his private car to their airport where his private jet was ready to takeoff to attend the meeting of the Illuminati. Some of his associates had been caught the Jeruselem Inquisition but they did not reveal his membership thank goodness.

He was worried. The new Royalty had somehow managed to send traitors to penetrate the veil the Jeruselem Illuminati and some of it's members had been caught. So far so good for him, and most members were still in their government positions.

They reached the airport and he proceded to his aircraft without haste. The Lear Jet took off and soared into the skies. Soon, he would be with his true associates and the real world rulers.

Unknown to him, an F-16 Sufa was positioned behind the Lear jet. "Delta-Bravo to base. Permission to fire" said the F-16 pilot to HQ. "Confirmed ... make sure no one on the plane survives" was the response.

On the Lear jet, Lord Byron was thinking about how much money he could make when his planned revolution took over. An explosion ripped the place as 20 mm shells tored into the engine. The tail blew off and the plane nosed dived into the mountains below. In his last thoughts Lord Byron bemoaned "No Satan, why me!" as he died in the flames.

The F-16 napalmed the remains of his plane and left.

So that's what this is all about, thought Darnin (the overly average man from my previous post). There hasn't been a successful Illuminati movement since the Denton incident. Does this man really have the resources to pull this off? No, of course not. If he did he wouldn't need the rest of us. Perhaps there is merit to this idea. And of course, if anything goes wrong, it wouldn't be the first time I vanished without a trace.

He spoke calmly, but loud enough that all at the table could hear. It was clear he was only concerned with the man at the table's head, however. "I can supply space forces, superior warships to guarantee that this organization will have the power neccessary to set its roots in the power structure of the interstellar community. Subtelty is not always the best approach. Also, I have information that may aid us if any nation discovers us and moves overtly against the Illuminati, but I will speak no more of that until I know more about who I have allied myself with. My black haired colleague....who, if I am not mistaken, has every bit as much reason to maintain secrecy as anyone else here, is not the only one who appreciates the value of knowledge."

His eyes moved slowly beneath his mask, moving to the edges of its eyeholes while he listened to the others offer their resources. He heard a hint of pride in their voices as they offered some of their most powerful assets to this cause. He listened and absorbed their plans that they have so openly presented to the others, some of their masks gave little help on hiding who they were. They spoke of their forces, their power, and their might, any one in their right mind would know who these people were. Though the information would not be of use right now, but in the future knowledge of such open declarations of agendas has political, economical, and tactical advantages. Such were the things that roamed through his cold calculating head. It's not a surprise why he was there. Though a leader of a small nation, he was going to be a power to contend with.

"As the gentleman said subtlety is not always the besss't approach." He nodded his head to the man (Guanyu), and turned to the others as he sat back on his sit, his arms crossed across his chest, and eyes wandering around. Darn, thought Agent Skull. The Sancto officials will be suspicious of the mysterious disappearance of the newly elected Nanakaland ambassador to Sancto and Sancto Minor. I guess I'm going to have to get rid of the Marc Brown alias and come up with a new disguise to gain more power. However, this Illuminati thing might give me enough power so I'll never have to disguse again. I could have power without a disguise - I wouldn't have to keep changing aliases everytime I slip up. I might even go by my real name again. He thought deeper. What is my real name?

Kyra was a little arrogant and headstrong at that. It was like her to take charge of things, but she still remained quite secluded from society for the most part. The tatoo upon her wrist revealed that she was an assasin. That could clearly be seen that she was part of Enigma which had been disbaned many years ago. Only a few remained, but no one really knew what had happened. She really didn't care if her identity was revealed upon this. She knew everyone, maybe not trusted them, but she knew how a mind worked like. if there was one person to make an attempt, there would be ten to one upon that one to bring him down. It was secure enough for her.

She slowly brought her hands up to entrap the edge of the cloak's hood within her fingertips. She brought it backwards, revealing jet black hair that fell in small waves down to her back. She had a piercing through her lower lip about an inch from the bottom of her chin. Her skin was fair, though not deadly pale, and her eyes...her eyes were a deep azure that seemed to trap the deepest waters of the ocean. There was a ring of black outlining the entrancing blue color, making it that more the noticable.

She glanced among the people, still masked and cloaked to her displeasure. Military folk were not as well known as the rulers of nations. A general, and her name was unknown to the majority of the population. Strange how things worked out that way.

A certain merc of some renoun sat at the table in the Illuminati meeting room, his face obscured by a provided metal mask... his sidearm had been taken from him at the door, as had his backup and his knife. He felt very exposed without them, his large frame clothed by a suit he hadn't worn in many years. His hands where hidden in a pair of expensive black leather gloves, and the red tie clashed horribly with his black suit and white shirt... He'd been sent to look into this secret society thing, because his superior didn't like the thought of being some sort of puppet for a group of wealthy lard-asses, to quote his exact words...

One of the people was finding this new crop a bit well, undisiplined at best. These people have been selected for the Illuminati? Hmph, well perhaps it would be best if I not judge them too harshly. After all of the orginal families of the Illuminati only mine has any power left. A fraction of what it once was but still... The man removed the mask but not the hood, keeping his eyes and upper face conceled by the lighting.

He toyed with a ring on a liver spotted finger. The ring carried the crest of the House of Wittlebach. Once the oldest ruling family of Germany. Bavaria, the Palinate, even the entire Holy Roman Empire itself had been ruled by a Wittlebach at one point. Now the Duke of Bavaria sat running a small hotel in southern gernmany and made beer. Only the cadet branch that had led the settlement of Neubayren and risen to be the Landgraves of Wittlebach had any money. They controlled a vast trading and manufacturing Empire.
Why am I here? More power, more wealth, or do I want to try and regain some of the families lost glories? Too long has the family sat around waiting for what? Bavaria to become a monarchy again? For their beer to actually taste good? Perhaps we are not a dead dynasty, this may prove to be the return of the family to some prominence again on the world stage.

Jack Noonan followed most of his gut instincts, and they led him to the tourist nation of Bandonia. Noonan had tracked things down to there where the trail seemed to disappear. He'd heard stories of all types of people meeting at the Vista del Océano. Flight records and intelligence at the airport announced that many important people from around the world had flown in and gotten into their cars headed for the hotel.

Noonan decided to check in and see what he could find out. He asked around at the desk about a "meeting" taking place here, but naturally nobody knew what he was talking about. Yeah, figures. Sure buddy, you don't know anything. And I'm the Queen of Menelmacar.

Jack went up to his room and decided to take a nap. All of this travel was very straining on him, and he was in the best place for a vacation...

Sandra looked across the table at the woman "Don't feel shy, introduce yourself... this meeting after all is confidential everything said in this meeting will only be kept between all of us. So there is nothing to be worried about." as she motioned the woman to stand up.

Sandra gave a little chuckle... "Nothing impressive??!... here I am sitting here not giving a single command and my armed forces have secured three Middie Eastern nations as Republics, and is at war with two more nations in southeast Africa."

Sandra heard the elven woman speak, and with the first three words knew exactly who she was. Sandra sat back in her chair and proppd her elbow on the table and used her open palm to cover her brow. She then thought "Just what the hell is she doing here? I thought I was talking to an audience who didn't even know me by voice, and then she pipes up. I am f×××ing sunk!"

Sandra then pressed a button on her PDA causing it to call itself, looking at her PDA she feigned alarm and stood up. Putting on her best act she apologized "I would love to stay with you, but something urgent back in the capital is requiring my physical presence."

With that she pushed her chair away from the table, pivoted on her heels and strode towards the door. As soon as she got to the door she dropped her head while taking her mask off so that her dark brown hair obscured her face and gave it to one of the men guarding the doors. Sandra sighed "See you all some other time" and reached her arm back and gave a short wave, she allowed one of the men to open the door for her and walked through. As soon as she heard the door close behind her she dialed her driver and told him to wait for her in the valet parking near the entrance of the building.

After taking the service elevator to the lobby she swiftly walked to the front of the hotel, opened the door sliding into the middle of the seat and pulled the door shut just in time for the driver to rev the engine and leave the valet parking lot peeling rubber.

((OOC: A conspiracy I'm not in some way involved in? This must be rectified at once! And, given that the current title decrees it still open to 1bil+...))

Yet another figure in another nondescript black coweled cloak, trimmed in gold thread sat at the side of the room, his hands resting casually on the armrests of his chair. He watched the events unfolding with a casual ease, as if such things were perfectly normal to him. He had educated guesses as to the identities of certain people around the table, but some even his impressive knowledge of the influential people of the world didn't cover. The figure had used many names over his long existence, but the one he would be using at this meeting was Mr. Reston Egal.

Ambitious people indeed these were, very ambitious if their pretensions were to believed. Such things could be used, channelled. His interests in the arena of money were limited, he had all the money he could ever find a use for, but another network of contacts, they could always be used. He took note of the two dissenters speaking up - one of whom, the second, he was certain of the identity of.

He decided to speak up, using a male voice, with a cultured Oxbridge accent, after waiting until Sandra had left "My, right honourable colleagues," he gestured toward Natusu and Sirithil, not that he knew both of them, "speak the truth, there has yet to be a serious plan of action proposed, no definitive statement of goals. What find of power do we seek? Political power I assume? Very well and good. Where, when and how shall it be achieved? Money? You said underworld, perhaps you seek the petty powers and riches of organised criminals, or perhaps your ambition is as great as you claim, if it is, speak then of objectives, methods and victims..."

He let the last word hang, and went back to drumming his fingernails against the armrest.

For now, the representitive of Uniphase Armouries Interversal, Kanuckistan's largest military and civilian contractor for over four centuries, kept quiet; he was only here to assess opertunity and risk, while making his party's resources known in only the most general sense unless too tempting an opertunity should immeditly present itself; a superrior, possibly even the CEO himself, would attend any subsiquent meetings, so keeping his persona a low profile would help mitigate the nigh-inevitible substitution.

After Noonan got a peaceful rest in his room, he got on the phone with Third to report what he'd found so far.

"Yes sir, I'm at the hotel where things are supposedly going on. My next step is to start snooping around."

At the end of his report, Noonan left the room with the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. His suitcase and briefcase required fingerprint access, but there is never such thing as "not safe enough."

Noonan got to the lobby and started there. He checked out the conference rooms first, finding a lot of business meetings but no secret societies. Noonan started with the elevator.

Second floor... nothing.
Third floor... nothing.
Fourth floor.. nothing.

He continued checking out the floors until he was finished with the 29th floor. Upon pressing the elevator button for the 30th floor, a screen popped out requiring a thumbprint. A-ha!

He tried his thumbprint. Nothing happened. His request was denied. Jack got off the elevator and walked to the staircase. Not surprisingly, the stairs skipped the 30th floor. There was only one other way to get to the 30th floor-- the AC vents. Damn, I didn't want to ruffle my suit.

He shimmied his way into the duct and crawled up to the next floor. He was up there, on the 30th floor. Noonan dropped out of the vent right in front of the room 3025. He figured that he'd give it a try. He used his standard knock of 5 raps. The door swung open...

Anyway, with Guanyu as my PR man, I've decided to drop this instance of this thread because it has gone COMPLETELY out of my control. I think the last time that I posted was like on page two, and seeing as I'm sorta running this meeting, that really don't make much sense. Anyway, as Guanyu said I'll be restarting this thread as invite only because of the simply MASSIVE amounts of applications. People I know I'll invite are the Hack, Siri, Krowehmoh, Rave, probably the C'Tan (sorta like an alternate), Anonymous Lepers (for the new blood, and the weapons), Guanyu my PR guy (props for holding this thread together  ), and of course myself. That makes about... 7, maybe 8 nations that will for sure be in this. I'm looking at taking another try at this tomorrow. If anyone wants to join this, simply send me a telegram. You MUST have something good and possibly unique to contribute to the organization, not just the fact that your character is rich. If you want a rich guy convention, I reccommend the Billionare's Club (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115582).

And Roania, sorry, but it just isn't feasible that the guy at the head of the table would invite Alexander. I mean, the Master of Puppets isn't a dumbass, Alexander will get upset the second he's outvoted and kill everyone in the room, with the exception of Rave, Siri, the guy at the head of the table, and possibly C'Tan.

Which reminds me of another rule: only sane characters may join. If you have an insane character you want to join, make sure he's not likely to lash out at anyone during the meeting. That's crucial in organizations like these.

OOC: This was the amusing bit :)

OOC: Resi, I'm okay with that.

Though, since the guy's in a wheelchair now, he might be more inclined to patiently wait and take revenge at a later date.

Besides, he's a servant of the Vatican, so it would be stupid to have him there, and I realised that just as I was posting the last one.

TM me with the thread, anyway, so I can tag it to watch.
