Joccia enacts new prostitution laws

11-02-2004, 14:44
New Laws to bring Joccia in line with the spirit, as well as the letter of the law were enacted today.

The legislation, in line with most other employment legislation does include a health and safety brief.

The only real difference is contained in the following tract:

"clause 12A iii) It is believed that if the prostitute is to ply his/her trade openly, then the financial transaction must be within the reach of all. To this end it is hereby legislated that the hourly rate a prostitute may charge shall not exceed the minimum hourly rate of the lowest paid sector of workers. This shall be strictly pro-rata, and no premiums shall be charged. All prostitutes shall be fitted with a meter, which shall show, the waiting time, if incurred, and the time employed. The charge per minute, or part thereof, shall be fixed from time to time, to ensure compliance, and shall be monitored by inspectors of His Majesty's Government.

The current charge shall be fixed at 360s per hour, or 6s per minute. This equates to £3.00 sterling per hour or $5US

We just solved the whole problem in a stroke by reclassifying prostitutes as civil servants. Now no-one will go near them.

The paperwork alone in order to get laid, is tremendous. A backlog of customers could extend for 2 years or more.

Prostitution, like all forms of non-marital sex, is strongly discouraged in The Gulf States. Our citizens are predominantly devout Christians, and wouldn't consider it - even though we really haven't made it illegal.

The stigma for it though is so outrageous, people just don't consider it. Crazy 18 year olds don't even do it.

Why, thank you, I think...

Question that bothers me though is: "is that really a compliment coming from an Elf?

That's why the civil service is illegal
