(Now that I've got your attention...)

The Foe Hammer Anti-grav Project has gone very well, and researchers are ready to advance yet another GravShip to the construction stage. This vessel, codenammed the Arcturus-class Light Carrier/Battlecruiser, is the pinnacle of Foe Hammer Gravship Technology. Powered by a lone Fusion reactor and two Fusion engines, this vessel features two launch ramps, Eight 155mm Cannon mounts, three 250mm Heavy Assault Cannons, 20 30mm Anti-Craft Defense turrets, an overhauled Foe Hammer Heavy Duty Selective Shield, and Two inches of Nordlundium, a very strong, light metalloid found just outside of Nordlund space (Estimated to be at least three times as strong as Carbon Nanotube Armor, just as light per square foot).

This vessel is expected to enter service in four years.

And, as usual, the section for those who are long-postually-impaired.

OOC: I say it sucks that you feel you have to resort to this level of n00bish title to get people to look at your thread. I would have looked at it because I like your RPing.

very cool! :D
I wish I could afford one. This is, I'm guessing, an airship? Pretty sweet idea.
There's not a huge point to this post, but I like the idea.

ATT: Well, others don't feel the same way, and will immediatly check out a thread with a n00b title, just for the fun of Ignore-Cannon-Picwanking and screaming, "OMGzZ I iGnoREZ u!1!!!111!!"

Other dude: It's basically a Space ship, with the ability to operate in the Sea, over land and in the air, and of course in space.

OOC: I gotta make this quick. I've got my phone ringing off the hook, so I'll just sum it up with this:

Here are the pictures.

It looks great, but why do you have to resort to gravships? Based on what I have seen looking around NS, they seem to have little basis in reality. Or maby I just can't understand them. Eh, at any rate, nice pictures.

Actually, AntiGrav is possible in today's society. There are some people who have even managed to create Hoverboards, like from Back to the Future. And, a few decades ago, I believe there was a man who actually created a board that could make him hover. It's all in the Magnetic fields.

So, yeah, you just can't understand them :P

And Gravships are a rather good, economical idea. That way, you only have to create a small number of vessels, because a GravShip can fight a battle in space, defend the skies above your nation, and guard your nation's waters.

This may not be my place to talk, but anyway: anti-grav, unfourtunetly, isn't posible in today's society, although some conspiracy theorists believe that the government is just lieing to us, and it really has been. Go figure. But anyway, if anti gravity were to be discovered, then either string theory or unified field theory would be proven, and we'd have the secret to unlimited free energy. The hovering on those hoverboards is achieved with very powerful fans. And apparently "Einstein's General Relativity implies that no links can exist between gravity (spacetime distortions) and electromagnetism (photon exchange)" Now, maybe I'm just nit picking here, but, if you were to have cannons as large as you described and showed them to be, it'd be damn near immpossible to actually use them in space. The reasoning is this: every action has an equal and opposite reaction. On Earth, this force is absored by the planet. In space, this is an unopposed force. So, go shooting off those big guns, and you spin around in circles. It'd be more practical to arm it with missles or something of the like, rather then shells. Just some thoughts.

Actually, there's a company called American Antigrav that regularly BUILDS and TESTS Anti-Grav devices. So far, they can levitate massive wooden triangle structures.

There is no conspiracy. The government is not lying. Hell, you can learn all you ever needed to learn about Anti-grav on a search engine, such as Google or Yahoo.

And actually, no, it's not achieved by big fans. It's achieved by containing a column of ionized air under the board.

I looked into American Antigrav. Infact, it appears to be a real company with a real design. However, there is this flaw that should be taken into account. The antigravity designs are basically fans. Infact, they aren't even true anti-gravity designs, since you could go out and label aircrafts and helicopters as antigravity devices.

Plus, there would be this little problem into getting into space, you see. Or going into high altitudes for that matter.

Actually, they are Anti-gravity devices, Field Effect propulsion, as they call it. Basically, magnetic levitation. Since the earth has a magnetic field, Anti-grav could quite possibly work in the near future. In fact, Lifter One, their first project, is based on the Biefield-Brown effect, which is not Repulsive levitation, meaning that there doesn't have to be a special surface. So, who knows, we might fly to work one day, we might actually have Gravity boots (In the future, that is :P), and maybe even the Space Shuttle may run on Anti-grav technology some day.

Mmmmm... I looked at their designs. While interesting, their actual application appears to be limited due to the needed surface area just to lift one person, nevermind multitonne space battlecruiser. Not to mention that your designs will not be able to encorporate the 'anti-gravity' devices like they are on the American Antigravity's website.

Shall I go through the numbers like I did with your ion engines now?

Please do (not.) Even I am not quite knowledgable in this field. However, I must play the 500-year-difference card here.
