Potentate General Devnostræva sat uneasy in her chair looking over the reports of the conflicts in the Middle East, with her allies securing territories on the Arabian Peninsula and the Persian Gulf she hoped this conflict would die down soon. She looked up just in time to see her Military Advisors image appear on the large screen spanning the upper half of the wall in her room. "Hello, General Vaughter. How soon will I be able to send my carrier fleet from the South Atlantic?"
"Miss Devnostræva, we have another obstacle in our way... our South Atlantic Fleet has encountered some Mozambiqian forces along the eastern coast of Africa who have waylaid our forces on numerous occasions..."
"What are you suggesting?" she tiredly exhaled.
As Gen. Vaughter searched his desk for some papers, Sandra sat in her desk doodling with a ball point pen wondering when he was going to get to the point. After a minute Gen. Vaughter finally looked up at the screen and began to tell his idea.
"Well, Miss Devnostræva we're suggesting that we invade and annex Mozanbique and Madagascar."
Sandra sighed... "As much as the idea is sensible wouldn't it just be easier to buy the rest of the South African Republic?"
"While we may have the money for the purchase of the SAR we believe it would be more cost efficient to send forces from the Transvaal Republic into Mozambique and after we've secured a few naval bases there to go ahead and send them into Madagascar."
Sandra's expression lit up. "So you're asking me to send my forces to invade two countries, when we could just negotiate a purchase for the rest of South Africa and avoid a conflict? You know some of the people on this planet hate the Sovereign Federation of California just as much as they hated the United States of America. I am not about to send my troops into a conflict that could be just as worse as that American fiasco in Somalia back in 1991. You have 24 hourse to find an alternative to this situation"
Sandra then picked up the remote control for the screen, turned it off then got up and walked out of the room.
