OOC: any modern tech repeat modern tech nation who would like to play the site and enemy (low losses) could just jump in, i'm not picky
IC:
0500 hours Arackal Zulu
Satellite control center
" Tracking Watch 79, low orbit, steady decay, alert colonel grey, the satellite is about to enter atmosphere, advise command, we're about to loose Watch 79, repeat, we're about to loose Watch 79."
the operator watched the tiny icon on the screen as it began a slow fall towards the much larger icon which was earth, the green screen was periodically illuminated by a flashing blue sweep, after a moment the smaller icon disappeared into the large one.
"Goddamn it! Command's gonna have my balls in a sling over this. Have we pinpointed the satellites location?" asked colonel Jeremy Grey, commander of all Watch surveillance satellites, he worried look spread over his face, his newest officer turned around with a questioning look
" Sir? Who cares if we loose one little satellite? I mean we have a lot more than just the one!" the young man, not long into the armed forces said foolishly
" It's not loosing the satellite alone, dammit" Grey yelled spilling his coffee on his pant leg "Just what i need, a damn newbie and a burning sensation in my pants, it's like this Jones, if we loose one satellite and some country get's a hold of it, we could be influencing their history, and if they're a bunch of terrorists and they somehow duplicate the cloak on board, we've just unleashed an invisible force on the world, and we get blamed and so forth and then we're on the end of a few million nukes, so don't argue just report to command the second you get a fix on that satellite ok?" he asked sarcastically, Jones turned around a bit sheepishly and returned to his work. A quarter hour later another operator turned around
" Sir, command wants to know the specifics on the sat, i think maybe you should take this one sir." the officer said cautiously, Grey turned to the comm panel and flicked on the screen, the image of grand admiral Wallace Kenash flicked on the screen
" What happened Grey?" asked the severly displeased Admiral
" Well sir, we lost one of the cloaked Watch satellites, we haven't pinpointed it yet, but we're getting close." replied Grey shaking
" Dammit Grey! If word of this gets out we'll be the laughing stock of the entire planet! you find that satellite or it's your neck in the noose! I'll call back in an hour or so and you damn well better have found it!" the image blipped off and Grey slumped in his chair
