Newsbreak- Feb 9th, 2004:
The small and little known country of Leenora has continued it's plans to test a new type of advanced WMD, known publicly as the HEAT. HEAT stands for High Energy Attack Tachyon and it is powered by super enriched uranium. The proccess of creating a uranium core for the weapon to fire takes two months, and one shot deplets the entire core. This makes it extremly expensive to deploy and use, though the effect is devistating. Protesters gathered around the Royal Palace today to protest the development of this new weapon. Even with stiff opposition the Ruling Elder of Leenora decided to continue with the plans for the test.
While some Leenorians find it unnessesary to build this new weapon, the majority of the populace support it. "I think it's a needed device to protect our small country from invasion and agression." said passer-by Joshua Lera. This seems to be the most unifrom statment from most Leenorians. The test is planned for Feb, 11th.

ooc: try starting off with a character rp or some sorta "rising from within" thing telling how your nation was formed, just on unestablished land, or declaring independance, etc.
