I believe our team could provide you with a great training opportunity, specially your midfield and forwards. You can leave your defense and keepers at home as they should not be needed.

A Message from the People’s Republic of Teakland

On behalf of the humble people of Teakland, we would like to invite footballers of Europa Brittania to our fair peninsula. While we do not have the most state-of-the art stadium, we do have a number of teams that should give your players a run for their money. If Teakland is selected, we pledge to donate 25% of the proceeds of ticket sales to fund sporting events for underpriveledged children, as we are committed to physical education as well as mental.

We thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Donavan Greenwood
Minister of Sports and Recreation

Is this Association Football (proper football, ie you actually kick the ball), or the gridiron game favoured by our American cousins? Even better, rugby football (union codes) [Wasps for the Premiership!! England vs Italy tomorrow] :?: :D

American football or soccer?

It's Soccer, the game where people kick the ball and not throw it.
Rather obvious with references to the World Cup as US football does not have one.
