Okay... A little question...

Foe Hammer

Foe Hammer and the Hammerian Protectorate, in a search for a new system, come across some aliens, who turn out to be descendants of Foe Hammerians. A small ship full of them (A couple hundred thousand of them) were seperated from the Colony Ship when the Nordlund system, Foe Hammer's home, was discovered. They entered a singularity and found a system to inhabit. Their population has grown to around 100 million. Later on in the RP, they will agree to become citizens of Foe Hammer.

Now, my question is, since Foe Hammer has been unaware of these people, when they become Foe Hammer citizens, would you care if I left these people out of FH's current population count, just so everything's not so screwed up? (I'd have to recalculate military stats for the last hundred or so years, I'd have to basically REDO or UNDO past RP's, etc. Basically, it would become a shitstorm on the forums.) If the majority of you accept this proposal, these new citizens will not be included in the census, but will be added on RP-wise. (Example: If I have 1.7 billion on my nation page, I would actually have 1.8 billion RP-wise. Not much of a difference, really.)

To space nations, population is only a minor affector of RP. As far as I'm concerned your population can be whatever you want it to be.

Why not just leave your pop the same, you know, the same time they agree to join with you happened to coincide with a drastic drop in the populaiton, or a massive disaster, or drought or something, certainly would add some spice to the RP, maybe have a famine, and the area they control is rich in food stuffs, or something like that. There's no reason to add 100,000,000 more people, which is a lot, not like you can throw that many people around.

I dunno... I think Xanthal may be right. With the numerous planets a Space Nation inhabits (Foe Hammer owns ten planets, 17 once this RP finishes), I think 100,000,000 is not that much. But the views really vary between Space nations, modern nations, etc.

If it is so minimal, why couldn't then around 100,000,000 people just leave the country, die (of natural causes, combined with a low birth rate you would randomly experience this would create a negative population growth), or be killed in some kind of freak accident (A nova or something)
