I got an idea. How about we make a war that involves a ton of nations and never ends until all nations on one side are totally anialated?

Sounds interesting...rule out WMDs, you think? Too easy, IMO.

No nuclear missiles. However chemical and biological weapons could add to the plot. I'd have to take a vote on that.

We have had 2 of those since 1900. We called them World Wars. The second one was ended with a nuclear bomb. So it seems that could have been called a nuclear war.

How about we have a world peace that involves a whole lot of nations. Then we can keep peacing it and never let it end. We could do things like the strong help the weak. The rich help the poor. You know silly stuff like that, Love one another.

Actualy, NS has had ten world wars.
Anyway WWI and II ended, remember?

Yes I do remember and it seems when a side is anilated it follows that it would end.

I'll be the side that gets annihilated as long as I get to do it in a really cool way. :D

Let's have four sides in this war:

Dictatorships (GDODAD, Arda, Reich)
"Good" Guys
Communists
Terrorists

That way it'll last longer.

What about a group of uber religious freak nations? Terrorist nations can fit into any of the groups.

We'd be in the communist group, but don't expect us to be big fighters. We don't like going to battle without a damn good reason.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Queen Rhiannon, ruler of the Empire of Mordecei. We are a new nation, and we'll be glad to assist the victims of this war, by offering them a place to rebuild their lives after having been destroyed.

My nation won't fight unless it's a damn good reason, and having a war just because you want to have one for excitement does not appeal to my people or my army, but we will help the survivors and victims.

This is the ideas/OOC thread. The actual war will start once an idea to get a ton of nations involved is thought up.

2 - I'm tired of poorly thought out wars. The only reason I'm in one now is because someone decided to invade my nation (region). Also what is the tech level going to be?

New fronts would come every once and a while. It would be like a series of little wars.

That's why I'm writing out this. I need an OOC thread to come up with a good plot.

Also what is the tech level going to be?

Probably modern and/or future.

Although I don't like this idea too much in terms of participating in it, I will definately watch, and perhaps get a frigate or two involved here and there, mabye attached to someone's battlegroup who I like. But I won't get involved in a big way. I'll just stay in the shadows and send pairs and trios of frigates in to help people who I like.

Nuclear weapons employ the use of fission. Thermonuclear would be a multi-state fusion weapon.

Not to mention that thermonuclear weapons still use a fission reaction to trigger fusion.

Wars could be a good RPing experience. However, I don't see how this war-that-never-ends is going to be any fun, and appears to be more like one big Russian Forces VS Automagfreek than anything else.

id be in.... millions of soldiers on either side, probably involving over 200 mil. from only 3 big nations alone(i can support about 50 mil, but thats unrealistic)... it would be a major bloodbath, but loads of fun if it kept goin.

All the others either fell apart or were ignored by almost everyone except those playing in them.
