Background: Founded by Russian exiles in the late 1600s, who established a republic. The weak republic was
quickly overthrown by a group of monarchists, who coronated a king and began a reign of terror. Constant
guerrila fighting against the republicans holed out on the northeast mountains (which has always and still is an unstable area) plagued the government. In the early
1900s the Republicans took power by assassinating the reigning king and in the confusion took the capital city. The Kingdom of Hattia, became the
Allied States. In the 1950s the Communist party of Hattia was formed and quickly banned by the capitalists in power.
A civil war raged for 13 years, with the Communists holed up in the former Republican strongholds in the northeastern mountains.
In 1963 a new leader became Chairman of the CPH, Dimitri Alexandrov (Father of the former Prime Minister). A charismatic man
he helped the masses rise up and overthrow the corporate police state. On January 20, 1964 he was seated against his will as Prime Minister, in which he
served 1 term before succumbing to a heart attack. That was how the modern state of Hattia was formed.
Recently, the governments of Hattia, Edolia and the Island States have agreed to forming a close knit alliance, known as the Union of Socialist Republics (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=152148&highlight=). Many of each nation's legislative functions will be given to a joint parliament, more details will be released later.

Background: Hattian Higera was founded shortly after the Higeran civil war, in which Higera was overtaken by Capitalists and to a lesser extent facists. Cav, Hattia, and other nations from the region of Socialist's Paradise banded together to take back Higera, after a hard fought battle, the capital of Higera, Seriyu was liberated. Cav gave 6 million acres on the coast of Higera to Hattia. The Hattian Commander: General Rydralie was given governorship of Hattian Higera. Mainly it is treated as a sector of Hattia, and thus has a seat in the Hattian People's Congress. Rydralie has decided to retire from his position, as he is nearing his 70th birthday, at the end of this term. Elections will be held as they are in Hattia. The capital city consists of huge high rise buildings as space is at a premium.
