A War Between Two Young Nations

The Imperial armies of Tecrojia have advanced deep into Rusiom. The quest for expansion and power has driven the Imperial Troops to push through the Royal forces of Tsar Harimon. All that stands between the Imperial forces and Complete domination is 200 miles. Royal forces occupy the remaining 200 miles between Keiloch, Rusiom (Capital City) and the on coming Tecrojians.

AA batteries escourt small units of infantry, while heavy armor escorts the larger regiments. Trickling down from the northern regions of Rusiom, from Joslom to Corsen, the resistance becomes heavier and the death toll rises.

General Marson of the 33 Elite Brigade sacked 3 more cities in the eastern regions of Rusiom, while Colonel Mako rampaged through the mighty stronghold near Ilotov, the largest city in Rusiom. Although the Imperial Army seems to be hitting the Royal defenses hard, the cold, harsh weather of Rusiom hits the Imperials just as hard. The arctic weather claims the lives of several men and puts a hault to the advance of the invaders.

"We shall rise to the top and take down this excuse for a nation," says Empress Eswilin, "Although we may be young ourselves, Tecrojia will hold its own and ensure its climb to greatness, for the Empire is destined to it." Her majesty's high chamber agrees and sends notice to the commanding officers of militaristic plans to finish off Rusiom once and for all.

6,000 estimated soldiers have been KIA, while another estimated 500 men have fallen to the wrath of mother nature. Although this may seem like a rather low number of deaths, it is a rather large loss for the small nation. Another small number to many nations is the toll of lives lost on the side of the defending nation. An estimated 18,000 military units have been claimed by the fire of Imperial troops, while another 7,000 estimated civilians, including men, women, and children have perished under the brutality of war.

General Pudnam had this to say, "Well, the way I see it, we're going to conquer Rusiom. There's no doubt in that. With the way things are going, Rusiom will be down in a short matter of time. Now a nation sweeping us from behind to aid Rusiom... That's all we need worry about. My elite troops are the bright future of Tecrojia and not only will they bring victory to Her Majesty, but they'll build a new beginning for the empire."

Colonel Foxx dispatches his Royal Marines into combat. They sweep down through the southland and head eastward. Foxx anticipates that the Imperial forces will be heading westbound, so he sends his marines around the back of the Imperial units. Heavy A-41 Seige Cannons and Modified M-2's are deployed into combat to help fight against the heavy artillary batteries already hammering Royal forces.

Tsar Harimon sends out another request for help, from neighboring nations, as well as nations from afar. "We're in a great time of turmoil... A time of unrest and carnage... We don't want to lose our young nation so soon and so... devastatingly. The fate of this war lies in the hands of our Royal Troopers..." says Harimon.

The death toll has escalated to an estimated 20,000 military units and 8,000 civilian lives.

The peaceful nation of Plunes has been sitting aside, watching the war. It wonders if the Empire of Tecrojia will strike them next. As of late, the people of Plunes have been leaning toward the struggling side of Rusiom and feeling soem sympathy.

"It's just odd that these young nations are waging war so soon. It's just strange," says Brian Ambross of Picano, Plunes.

"I wish the best of luck to the Royal Army..." says Mia Johansen of Riah, Plunes.

Although these people may be saying they'd like Rusiom to come out of this war as the victor, many don't care, many want Tecrojia to finish the job, and others surprisingly want Plunes to jump INTO the war...

"If Birilia is to thrive, Birilia must make a choice," says Ambassador McDougle, "King Harold may be thinking of the investment of our people, but we must think of the long term... If we invest in say supplying weaponry... Think of the long run..."

Uh, guys, I think this belongs in International Incidents.

Perhaps the UN should intervene... After all, it is the UN's duty to keep the peace, am I correct?

The UN has no standing army nor can it intervene in any military conflict since it has no army. The UN is an international government designed to take away national soveriegnty... I mean make things more peaceful. This thread belongs in international incidents.
