Curious what is the name of your residence of your Head of State? If you also have a separate Head of Government (ex Prime Minister) then what is their residence? Describe the grounds, and the building if you wish.

In Aerion the Prelacy lives in the old Royal Palace, the home of the old royal family in Aerion. The current titular King was not allowed to live in the Royal Palace as the 20 member Prelacy now lives there. It had also been the Imperial Palace of the Divine Emperor before his disappearance, it is now simply called "the Palace of Astevane". Astevane being Aerion's capital. The Palacy is a massive miles long, and miles wide structure. It has massive columns, baroque architecture mixed with Greek architecture, and some Arabic influences. Featuring many beautiful domes, and skylights. The interior is marble, gold, and otherwise elegantly painted. There are three large open courtyards within the Palace, and a park in the back featuring numerous gardens. Armed soldiers, military tanks, and fortifications surround the Palace. It is an off limits area to all but high party officials of the New Aerion Order, and bureaucrats. The Prelates live here in luxury with their families, with enough room for even some of their favored extended family. The Chief Minister sometimes stays there as well, and the Council of Ministers.

We Effrenati don't like side and don't allow our government leaders to swank it. They live in their own damn' houses.

Interim Lord High Executive Fordahl Morch's family address is 18 The Heights, Orado (quite a spacious estate-style home with a pool and a guest house,) but he also has a modest 2-bedroom condo in Ceyce.

Acting Temporary Everything Else Bright's address is currently 16 Effralis Way, in Ceyce. It's a modest 3-bedroom, 2-story brick house with a big garden and a screen porch.

The hereditary seat of the Lord Reaver's House Vayne is the Seastone Palace, located quite near, though not in the national capitol of Toke. Legend has it that the Lord Reaver who ordered it built commanded the execution of every mason and slave who had participated in its construction, in order to preserve the secrets hidden within.

Perched some three thousand feet above the crashing waves of the Blood Bay upon the Cliffs of Toke, the Seastone Palace dominates the landscape for hundreds of miles around, it's deep green stones a stark contrast to the gleaming white of the massive quartz thrust that forms the Cliffs. Seventeen towers thrust even higher into the sky, the larges of these is crowned by a gargantuan steel kraken, its burnished surface made brighter by gleaming silver runes, whose arms are wrought to seem as if they grapple with the great tower. A great curtain wall encloses a small city that has grown up around the Palace, many servants, foreign diplomats, tourists, a smattering of commoners, and the bulk of the cities population, some eight thousand of the Lord Reavers Household Berserkers. From atop the Kraken's Tower the Panteran capitol of Toke can be seen, sprawlig lazily across the rolling plains that foot the jutting expanse of the Cliffs that the Palace perches on.

A truly magnificent sight.

The imperial palace in Arackal is the current seat of power in the empire, though it changes from dynasty to dynasty, it is the ancestral home of the Tiu dynasty, with high thick walls, and a large area inside for training since the Emperor must be a master at the Jitanese Martial art Steel hands, in side it has a command and control room from which the emperor can oversee an entire war, it has about 26 bedrooms in which court functionaries, visiting royals and the Emperor himself are housed, a large kitchen, a dojo, inside the palace grounds are the barracks f thePandion knights, the palace houses many trophies of the Tiu dynasty, the founding family of the empire, including the sword of Tiu himself, an almost holy object within the empire,

Currently, due to certain RP considerations, the highest Daistallian official lives in a small nameless tent on the coast of Greenfields, in a small military encampment. It*s refered to as the Captain*s tent, because that*s where Captain Oliver resides. It was erected about 24 hours ago RP time. It is a nice cozy 2 man tent. Captain Oliver has been provided with a cot and an air mattress. Considering the situation of most Daistallians who survived the recent White Fog incident, he lives in quite some comfort.

We can expect some change in circumstances eventually.

Our president, the honored KompĆ¼taer, resides in the Presidential Office, where he carries his presidential duties along with hobbies. The Office used to be a marvelous building, a sight to comprehend, but our nation was recently struck by a large asteroid, and the Office has been seriously damaged, though the President is alive.
The advisors/ministers Aamon, Abadon, Ackrue, Adelbert, and Aesthem also reside within the Office, though they also have separate residences.

(OOC: If you haven't read my intro thread, then I'll inform you that in reality the president is a computer and the nation's people are droids, but right now my nation's in the "We're humans, honest! *sad puppy eyes*" mode, hence the corny names and fake explanations. )

The People's Commonwealth of Beth Gellert has no head of state, and no one member of the populace enjoys significantly more splendid residence than do any others.

That said, there are of course buildings related to the ultimate stages of national government, and these -primarily comprising the Final Senate- are set upon what is generally called The Island, in an artificial lake.

Referred to as The Village, The Commonwealth's nerve-centre is a hectic gathering of disprate architectural styles as befits the nation's inclusive political system.

Wretchengard
06-02-2004, 04:55
Mostly secret IC, save for obvious things like the height of the building:

The Overlord of Wretchengard makes his home in Blackstone Fortress, a massive, grim tower that takes its name from the black stone it was constructed from. Blackstone Fortress-or just Blackstone, as the locals call it-shares occupation of Invincible Square in the capital of Vhaldruin with the much smaller Halls of Justice and the Eternal House (main buildings for the justice department and judiciary, and a large portion of the public sector, respectively). Invincible Square is likely the best-defended area in all of Wretchengard, with both obvious and hidden anti-air defenses, cannons, etc in case of attack. The tower itself stretches some 220 stories into the air, with the highest level serving as the Overlord's personal study; none but him alone may access it. There are also many tunnels and levels below the fortress, including the military HQ.

The Aerigian Presidential Family live in the Palace of Jardine Hills, just outside the downtown core of the capital city of Aden, on a hill that overlooks most of the city.

It is a 16th century building built as a palace to the Emperors of The Prudentian Empire, but has been rigourously upgraded and expanded with modern high-technology such as fiber optics and highly advanced and classified security networks.

Built on a pleateau, the grounds also features extensive entertainment facilities for the Presidential family and their guests.

Primary Residences of the Dukes of Alcona and Hubris

Apethorpe Palace, Thunderbay, Isle of Neubayran

Major building dates: 1695-1698;1725-1726; 1865-1868; last exstensive remodeling 1949.

Apethorpe Palace has been the traditional home of the Head of State since the founding of the Alcona Islands Duchy is 1660. The orginal 'palace' was little more than a frame building that was replaced by the present Jacobian structure. Over the years wings have been added, electricity installed as well as modern plumbing. Today Apethorpe Palace is home to one of the world's largest collections of bronze sculpture. The palace grounds cover almost 40 arces of fenced grounds, buildings, gardents, and the Royal Guard Armory.

Stag Rock Castle-Herzog Island
Historically the home of the Landgraves of Neubayern. It has been the private residence of the Duke of Alcona since the rise of the Crawfords into the postion of the Herditary Dukes of Alcona in 1675. The present castle is actually a combination of the early fortifications and a central 'mock castle' built in the early victorian age.

Government Castle, Nanakapolis

Government Castle is a luxurious castle built over a hundred years ago. It now houses the President and the Senate Chamber is in the lower floor. It's spacious design makes it a perfect place for parties - the most recent one being the Christmas Party. It is heavilly secured and is the safest place in the nation.

Across the street from Government Castle is a massive fort. Fort Nanaka is the base for the military and air force (the navy is based in the city of Port Nanaka). The fort keeps Government Castle safe and makes it easy for the President to attend military meetings.

Underneath Government Castle and Fort Nanaka is an elaborate system of tunnels. There is also a POW camp there.

The current President of Nanakaland is President Michael J. Smith.

Almost the entire national government lives in the city of Epsal-na-Narbhal, built into the side of a mountain almost dead center between north and south in Earthside Eniqcir. The Steward himself lives not only in the city, but in the actual Epsal-na-Narbhal itself, a white marble tower rising from the center of the city. The peak of the mountain slightly to the south behind it rises only about 5 meters higher. The tower, besides holding the Stewards residence and office, also contains the (optional) residence of the High Councillor, the Council Chambers, an observatory, a hospital, and the military C&C, along with shops and restaurants to cater to those who work there.

The Epsal-na-Narbhal, though thoroughly modernised, is itself nearly 1500 years old, harkening back to the days of yore when the city was just a particularly large center of commerce for the fractured Celdr and Scyldr tribes.

The Premier's residence is not as glamorus as some of the other nations, yet, this is the standard of living in the ANL.

http://www.baja-malibu.com/assets/page_2_pic_2.jpg

The Primier's estate is on the Veracruz shore and overlooks the ocean. It is of contemporary design and is a realtivly new building (7 years old). This provides comfortable shelter for his family and has a massive lounge on the right.

It is located 10 miles south of the capitol building and is located in a large residential district among everyone else. However, around this perimeter, security is understandable greater.

SECRET (OOC FYI):
Underneath the lounge window, a small discret pathway leads you to a basement door. Underneath the door, there is a passage to a emergency command center and underground tunnels that the people take refuge in if there is a emergency above ground.

The Palladiate lives in the SkyCity core, along with most of the other residents of SkyCity, the capital of P4lladia (which is about 1.7 kilometers tall - an engineering feat that P4lladians take great pride in). The Core is suspended on a "skydeck", a sort of "central square" for the city. The government's operational machinery is centralized in the aircraft carrier-like control tower. The area of the core protruding out of the skydeck is a commercial center, and everything underneath is residencies, scientific laboratories and military installations. A garrison of elite Samurai guards are kept there.

The Palladiate himself resides near the bottom of the core, in a nice but by no means extraordinary apartment. The Palladiate's social life is no different from the life of any other Ninjaon, except that he works long hours tending to the needs of his nation. Though not many people have seen the inside of his apartment, it is rumored that he has a very, very large holodisplay.

This is the capital of Joshu, known as Pyra. It is an entire city confined within an amazing feat of engineering prowess. The current population is about 37 million citizens, give or take a few.

(I sincerely hope that nobody posts about this structure being physically impossible, because it is not. It has been mathematically proven possible, and was featured on DiscoveryChannel's Extreme Engineering. Scientists, engineers, and the like have all proven it. Just wanted to clear this up.)

The Imperial Palace of the Glorious Emperor Xavier Servioran, ruler of the Corporate Police State of Cypherland. Overlooking the Lake Arrakas, it has been the Imperial Palace for well over a thousand years. The palace is well defended by laser antiaircraft and antimissile defense systems, and is guarded by the Imperial Elite, the most highly trained of the Empire's troops, and the best of the best.

The city of Cypheria itself is an amazing display of engineering and construction, with buildings much like the Palace, but much smaller.
