National Flyovers Banned

The Kaukolastani Government toady released a statement in reply to last month's "flyover carnage", in which another nation, being carried by helicopters over Corsis Island, lost one of it's tethers and slipped, spilling several buildings onto Corsis below, killing twenty. This is a disturbingly common scenario in this world, where entire nations are relocated via helicopters nearly at random. Previously, Kaukolastan had allowed these other nations to pass at random, even though they impeded large portions of the air traffic network, and even brought famine by blocking the sun. However, after a skyscraper fell into a suburban mall in last month's incident, the governmet has had to forbid any more unregistered flyovers.

Today, the Chancellor has declared that no longer will entire nations be allowed to relocate through our airspace. Any nation wishing to cross Kaukolastani Airspace will be required to request flight patterns, access waivers, and pay a toll of fifty credits per cubic acre of land. Any attempts to transport water will be denied, as will HAZMAT transfers.

After applying for waiver, engineers will be dispatched to make sure conditions are adequate for transport, to prevent another chicken little scenario. If inspections pass, a waiver will be granted. Then, the Kaukolastani Air Traffic Authority will plan out a flight path for safety. Military aircraft will insure that this flightpath is maintained. Finally, the toll must be paid to cross our airspace.

Any violation of these conditions while applying to or attempting to enter Kaukolastani Airspace will result in your nation being shot down while over the ocean. Any attempt to extricate the flooded nation will be blocked by a Naval Battlegroup. Currently, this issue is being discussed on a regional scale.

Chancellor Main expresses his sorrow for the tragedy in Kaukolastan

He, too, is denying countries flyover rights, and is encouraging General Carl Epsillon of DDC (Directorate Defense Command) and Regent-General Garrison of DRA (Directorate Regional Affairs) to call a vote of the Directorate Inner Council to make this a region wide policy

“We can not allow the lives of our citizens in our sovereign region to be endangered by insecure loads in transit above us. We must take every due precaution to secure the lives of our people”

BODY: We will not be subject to your demands for tribute. We defy you, and are moving in the name of Freedom! As we speak, our nation is being hauled by a fleet of military choppers over your nation! This is the flyover of freedom!

ATA thinks this is very entertaining and fun to torture a nation for a while. To keep this up, We are dropping in 7 Serial Killers. It's our way of saying thanks, for what you have done to us.

In the MADAE control center, General Arkerby watched the approaching nation and her chopper escorts. He rubbed his forehead and asked the Comms Sargeant, "Are they responding to hails?"

"Negative, sir. They do not have a waiver, flight plan, or paid toll."

"Damn. Inform them that they have one minute to reverse course. Captain? Get me a gunnery lock."

The Eight Compass Point guns of the MADAE swung, aligning their massive bores on the distant dot of a nation, hover over the ocean. On the surface, hundreds of soldiers scrambled into bunkers. Technicians read off safety checks, and the magnetic fields powered on the gauss cannons.

"That should give them the point."

General Trivalis turned to the President. "Sir, they are arming their guns. They have demanded that we stand down."

"Never! We shall never bow to oppressors!" The President smiled. "Full speed ahead."

The helicopters continued to tow the nation.

Very Creative! *Taggity tag!*

IC:
We, too have had problems with young nations flying over our nations, and as such, will have them pay a quarter per acre of land to fly over us, lest they be pwned and n00ked (and sacked and then smacked by a giant mallet, anime-style).

OOC: Thanks.

IC:

"Sir, they have not showed any change. In fact, sir, they replied by having their citizens moon us, en masse." The LT reported.

Akerby nodded. "Very well then. Anyone ever shoot skeet?" he asked.

The Captain at the Generator control nodded. "Aye, sir."

Akerby grinned. "Pull."

Above, the MADAE fired. In each gun, the Pure Fusion round loaded, charged by the capacitors in the chambers. The magnetic field, powering up for the past five minutes, buckled, and the eight one meter shells were discharged from the barrels in unison. The air snapped and flashed under the magnetic disturbance. Birds fell from the sky, watches stopped, and hair stood on end for five hundred meters in any direction. Eight spiral waves shattered the sky, and the shells rushed inbound.

Above the nation of Flakenstein, the shells detonated. Powered by internal coil arrays, magnetic fields compressed the internal Deutrium/Tritium mixture, and a high powered ion stream blasted into the pressure. Fusion occurred. Above Flakenstein's towing helicopters, the sky was swept clean by heat, compression, and EMP.

In the control room, Akerby grinned. "Splash."

Over Flakenstein, there was a roar. Eight suns burst in the sky, blinding everyone below with their awesome glare. The shockwaves smacked into the nation, hurling it about and knocking buildings flat. Cars slammed into walls, and trees flattened. There was a sudden heat from above, and those exposed recieved horrible sunburn. All power died on the nation.

The President looked up, searching for the helicopters... but there were none. Dust filled the air, and a tether fell, limp beside him. "Nooo!" he wailed as Flakenstein frisbeed into the ocean surface.

Striking the water in excess of seven hundred miles per hour, the chunk of land shattered, rock flying in all directions as tidal waves swept it clean. The waters crashed over the shattering land, submerging everything and washing cities away with contempt.

As the storm faded, survivors bobbed to the surface, only to find Kaukolastani aircraft circling. Behind one of the gunships was a sign:

Welcome to Kaukolastan... Biatch.

Aftermath from Flakenstein Incident

The Northern Sea was opened for travel this afternoon, and many treasure hunters have begun looting the "artifical Atlantis" that joined our nation two weeks ago. The citizens are now welcomed as our own, and their remaining land has been annexed as a water park. In what some have called bad taste, a nation has been painted onto the MADAE Command Center in the "Kill" row.

In other news, tribute from flyovers is now raised to 75 Credits per Acre. And yet, more nations seem willing to pay than ever. Coincidence? This reporter thinks not.

Seeing bright flashes far below him and his protype plane, the pilot simply dismissed the lights as another nation at war. Not realizing that massive EMPs had been detonated below, not until his radio signal began to crackle, the pilot kept flying. Realizing his radio had gone dead, the pilot tried to restart his radio. Soon after, he was hit by the brunt of the EMP. As his radar died and his stability and yaw controls died as well, the pilot began to panic as his plane fell into a full nosedive. Recovering enough to think, the pilot quickly set about turning on reserve systems. Just as his plane was about to stall, approximately 500 feet from the ocean below, the pilot was able to get his systems back online. Seeing that he only had an instant to live before smacking into the ocean, the pilot pulled a frantic maneauver of rolling to his right and pulling upwards. This way, he could pull his nose away from the water without the risk of stalling by pulling up too fast, too low. Laughing nervously, the pilot looked below him to see what caused his near fatal crash. Seeing devastation below, the pilot could only watch as large chunks of free floating land washed ashore the continent below him, while choppers and military craft circled below. Shaking his head and radioing in his situation ((OOC: The pilot was able to radio in his situation because of having turned on his auxilliary systems, as said before lol)) to Galash, the pilot continued on his flight around the world on one filling of gas.

"Looks like we almost swatted someone, sir."

"Is he alright?"

"Fine, sir."

"Have a plane tow a banner saying, "Sorry about that." We can't very well radio him after the EMP."

"Yes, sir."

Statement from Armed Lumberjacks Regarding Incident

The government of Armed Lumberjacks give Kaukolastan full support in its decision to shoot down Flankenstein. Armed Lumberjacks is fully supporting use of force against nations violating airspace. The government is also sending a detachment from the "Agricultural Department" to halt all looting of the once nation. We will also prospect the new addition to the region and begin mining operations at once.
