Beaumontia

The Holy Republic of Beaumontia boasts the Cat as it's national animal.

However we've recently brought the Feather Bellied Cat back into being after 100 years of extinction.

A Feather Bellied Cat would greatly enhance the reputation of your zoo! Being an animal of such grace and beauty it will captivate any visitor. The story of how this great animal became extinct, and how we brought it back, will bring in many visitors from all over the world.

Kajal's national animal is the Myarra, which is really just a tabbi the size of a rottweiler.

It is, however, the most docile (and extinct!) animal on the planet. Since we clone them for the pet shops, I suppose we could send you one...

Like Beaumontia, we cloned the feather bellied Myarra a while ago, but they didn't sell too well, so we discontinued them.

Squeezitlandia's national animal is the Pineapple Beast. It is a small, genetically engineered creature. And quite tasty. You might want it in your zoo--or you might just want to purchase some to barbeque for the concession stand.

the f.i.s. willing to send breeding populations of five of the isx known sepieces of castle newts. unfortunatly the sixth species, and the rarest, the grey castle newts has too little known about it for us to consider establishing a non-local population.

The Sultanate of Varandi is willing to offer a breeding pair of striped sand badgers. These dark-skinned, light furred creatures are highly intelligent and would do best in an exibit which showcases their problem solving skills. They are the size of housecats, but with a body shape closer to a ferret, so plan an enclosure accordingly.

We are delighted to be in a position to offer you a young pair of our national animal, the rare Sonnyzoovian Spinning Weasel.

The weasel is a timid creature, the male of the species displaying its strange and exotic mating ritual dance only once during its lifetime.
On moonlit summer nights, a fortunate weasel-watcher might catch a glimpse of a female, patiently nailing a spent male to a tree with a pine-cone and then lighting his tail.

Yours sincerely,

Godber Hubcap
Sonnyzoovian Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries & Strip Mining.

PS - Always remember, never return to a lighted weasel...

We have sandtar.

A two to eight foor deep deposit of small gelatonous lifeforms, each surrounded by hard shells. The shells are slightly larger and darker than normal dirt, but provide enough camoflauge to make food easy to come by.

A creature wanders through the woods and steps on a deposit, causing the sandtar shells under it's foot to break, releasing the creatures. Within seconds the shells start breaking, and the creature sinks into the pool of creatures, who are essentially made up of a type of stomach acid.

When the unfortunate prey is consumed, the creatures form the hard shells, made of waste product, and wait for another meal.

We have seas of them in our forests. The only think is, you'll have to make sure they don't spread. Each time they feed, they also reproduce. If they get loose... ooo, boy. You're going to be missing some animals. Apparently they cannot eat through plastic though, so that provides a quick and easy containment device.
