On the dark Isle of despair that lies near the coast city of Asgood.

In a research laboratory.

Adviser Nino Endoro: “Sir, we are ready for you inspection of the AI.”
Unknown officer: “Good, let’s get down there.”

In the research chamber of the AI.

Adviser Niko Endoro: “Sir, We just need the last item to complete it.”
Unknown officer: “It looks good. Is the army ready?
Adviser Nino Endoro: “Yes, Sir. The army is ready to the strike.”
Unknown officer: “Good, prepare to strike.”
(A young girl enters the chamber)
13 year old girl: “You will never win, they will fight you down. I can’t believe that I trusted you!”
(She draws a gun)
Unknown officer: “Do you really think they can stand against me. You are wrong there is no army to stop me.”
(She shoots at him and hits him in the arm, as he tries to escape the shoot. She turns around quickly to get out of the room, but as she is turning around she is shoot in the stomach and she falls to the ground. Adviser Niko Endoro slowly lowers his gun.)
Unknown officer: “Good shoot, adviser.”
Adviser Nike Endoro: “Thank you, Sir.”

On the main land 2 days after.

News reporter: “Fights on the streets has been a common sight since yesterday. A temporary army has been established to fight the invading troops back into the sea. The magistrate has gathered her elite forces around the palace to protect it from the enemy, while she and her military advisers try to make a strategy to fight the invading forces back into the sea.”

A man comes into the studio with a note to the news reporter.

New reporter: “Thanks Jim. The Speaker wishes to address the nation.”

The Speaker: “Dear friends, dear citizens of Digital Technology. We are facing the biggest war in our history and our magistrate asks you all to join us in the fight against the Mastermind. The Mastermind is the man that has attacked our peaceful country; we most show him that he is wrong in his believe that he can easily defeat us. May we stand strong and win this war.”

*Telegram from Shadostan*

Greetings Digital Technology.

We understand that your nation is under threat from a figure known only as the "Mastermind". If you have further information about his personage, we would be happy to assist in any way possible.

Lord Shado

After signing off the telegram, Shado looked around the slowly emptying hall. The feast had ended, and darkness was falling. His wars had been going badly. He had had to pull out of Western Navascuez after a traitorous act from an "ally", and wars in his own region hadd recently broken out. Nevertheless, he would not see a peaceful nation such as Digital Technology be harassed by anyone, least of all this "Mastermind". He would fight to defend them at any cost.

The Speaker was sitting at her desk and was looking through some papers, when a man from the communication department showed up.

The Speaker: “Yes, what is it?”
Man: “A telegram from Shadostan, Speaker!”
The Speaker: “What does it say?”
Man: “They have offered to help us get rid of this creature if we can give them more information about him.”
The Speaker: “What can we tell them we don’t know much about the Mastermind?” (The sound of a TV is heard in the back ground.)

The TV: “Join the Mastermind and be free of the slavery. We will stand united and we will all be equal.”

Man: “How long has that lie been on?”
The Speaker: “Since the Mastermind gained control over Asgood. But there is something wrong every time we face his force, they are moving as if this was some kind of game.”
Man: “A game, Speaker? You mean like a computer game, right?”
The Speaker: “Yes, but that is impossible. No one has that kind of technology in the near of us.”
Man: “You might be to new to know this, but a few years back a computer system called “The Mastermind” was destroyed still in the research phase by order of the former magistrate.”
The Speaker: “So we had the technology?”
Man: “Yes, I am afraid so.”
The Speaker: “Send a telegram to Shadostan and tell them what we know about the Mastermind.”
Man: “As you wish, Speaker.”

To Lord Shado

We know only little about the Mastermind, but we believe that it is a computer system with the abilities of an AI. We don’t know who made or controls this System.

The Speaker of Digital Technology.

Rand Toki flipped through the stations of the motel TV. "War war and war, man only good thing that was on was the superbowl. But even that was delayed do to the mobs." He finally turned of the tv and looked at his watch. It read 3:37 PM. "Well time to get to work." So he got up grabed hios coat, keys and a cap. Then closing the door and locking it behind him he left.
His Job wasn't all that great, he was a second rate cook near the military airbase but he also had a nanobite injection so that he could fly some of the mostr advanced fighters on earth. But he had never really used it.
But on this day he would change all that. For when he got to his workplace he quit telling his boos were to shove his low paying second rate cook position.
Then walking out in the heavy rain. He came apon the DI military enlistment office. "Why not they need soldiers and I bet the pay is better than what I was getting." So he walked in ready to sign up.

Shado looked incredulously at the telegram. "AI?" he wondered aloud, "Computers?"

Shadostan was not a technologically advanced nation, but Shado knew that such things would become dangerous if given time and power. He called for his aide, and the girl rushed in, breathless.

"Lord Shado?"

"Wire Digital Technology. Tell them we must act soon, before this "Mastermind" gets a hold. Tell them my personal guard are on their way."

"But your Lordship, with all due respect, is it wise to send out your bodyguard with troubles so close to home?"

"Don't question me, I know what I'm doing. I will be accompanying them personally."

"But your-"

"Enough!" Shado almost shouted, and he stopped to regain his temper. "I will go and have words with the Speaker in Digital Technology personally. I am leaving you in charge of affairs here. The new General will aid you with military advice, but the rest is up to you. I trust you. Don't let me down."

Shado walked to the side of the room, and put on his heaviest grey cloak. He picked up his personal force-shield and sword, and his bow and quiver. It would be a long journey, and he would be prepared for it."

Adviser Nino Endoro: “Mastermind, we have established a foothold here in Asgood, The resistant here will soon be crushed.”
The Mastermind: “Good work, Adviser. Prepare for the assault on the capital.”
Adviser Nino Endoro: “Yes, Sir!”

The headquarter of The National Guard in Asgood.

Soldier: “We can’t hold them back much longer, Sir!”
Officer: “Prepare to fall back!”

Captain Nilish: “This Mastermind remains me of something.”
Adviser Felton: “What, Sir?”
Captain Nilish: “The Magistrate Wars.”
Adviser Felton: “Why, Sir?”
Captain Nilish: “There was a Mastermind in that war as well.”
Adviser Felton: “Hmm… But how does that help us?”
Captain Nilish: “A student from my old school was a descendant from strategist Tinalis, the main character of the wars. She might have known how to stop this.”
Adviser Felton: “Then she would be in meeting with The Magistrate’s Advisers wouldn’t she?”
Captain Nilish: “No, She died 3 years ago.”

Explosions and gunshots are heard in the background

Officer: “Captain Nilish, we need to fall back now!”
Captain Nilish: “Fall back!”

On the vest coast near the city of Inagash.

In the resident of the Tinalis family, at 9.00 am.

Soldier: “We have got orders to send message to the 7 families of The Power Council.” (TPC)
A young girl is stand in her night dress in front of the soldier.
13 years old girl: “About what?”
Soldier: “Haven’t you seen the news lately?”
13 years old girl: “No, why?”
Soldier: “The city of Asgood has been attacked and an army is invading the land.”
The young girl looks worried at the soldier.
13 Years old girl: “What is the message?”
Soldier: “I am sorry, but I have orders only to give it to the family head.”
13 years old girl: “I understand, come in. I will be back in a moment.”
The young girl walks into her chambers and puts on her clothes and walks back into the room, where she had left the soldier. The soldier jumps on his feet, just as he sees her. She is in the uniform of the family head.
Soldier: “You are the family head, but how you are so young?”
13 years old girl: “Age has no meaning for the family head, what is the message?”
Soldier: “of course not. You are to meet up at the palace by order of The Magistrate.”
13 years old girl: “I will take off immediately.”
Soldier: “I have orders to escort you there.”
13 years old girl: “Let’s go then.”

The Speakers emergency council at the palace of The Magistrate in the Capital city of Suldarie.

The Speaker: “We have been able to send at message to The New KSC asking for help, but it might take sometime for them to respond.”
Member of the Council: “How long do we have to gather the army?”
The Speaker: “20 days maybe less.”
Member of the Council: “Can it be done?”
The Speaker: “I don’t believe so, but I will begin to inspect the temporary bases later today.”

Rand had only been in basic training for a couple of weeks when his unit s was called up. He was a luck one with the prior service with the WM National Guard. On his right arm was the rank of Private First class and was scon in command of the squad her was in.
They enlistment officer had put him in stardard infantry, as that was were they needed the most men. "Yep just meat for the grinder, thats all we are."

"What did you Private.?" That was Lieutenant Brooks Company CO. He seemed no older then Rand and though the silver bar in his collatr made him fit for command.

"Nothign Sir"

"Good"

The ride to the front took a little over three hours. With them arriving in a lull in the fighting. Most of the men wanted to get chow, but Rand said they should dig positions. even if they would fall back soon.

"Good Idea Rand. Allright forward lets get those holes dug."

Shado leaped off his horse. It had been a long journey, as predicted, but he had finally arrived in Digital Technology, in Asgood. He walked up to the headquarters of the National Guard, and knocked loudly on the door.

The New KSC ambassador plane, Spirit, was preparing for take off when a message was recieved.

Wait for ambassador Kregen Asmist. He is to be transported to the nation of Digital Technology as fast as possible.

The headquarter of The National Guard in Asgood.

A young lieutenant slowly walks to the door and at the same time 3 squads placed themselves along both sides of the wall in a distant of 5 meters from the door. They were ready to shoot if this was an enemy trick to kill them.

Young lieutenant: “Who are you and what do you want?”


In the city of Casera 50 km from south of Asgood, in the apartment of General Stratrigon.

General Stratrigon lay in her bed when she heard the first shots. She had been ill for some days, but had been getting better. She stood out of bed and walked to the window to see what was going on out on the street. She saw soldiers and officers organizing a defense and an evacuation of the citizens of the city. She put on her uniform and ran downstairs to find out why the military was in the city. It wasn’t normal. As she running to the door she bumped into a lieutenant that was on his way up.

General Stratrigon: “What is going on here?”
Lieutenant (He hasn’t noticed her rank or her uniform): “Haven’t you seen the news? The Mastermind is attacking and we need to evacuate the city and try to fight him back into the sea.”

General Stratrigon hurried out on the street and saw an officer that seems to be organizing the evacuation and the defense of the city. She walked to him.

General Stratrigon: “What is our military status?”
Captain (He hasn’t noticed her rank or her uniform): “Just move along, girl.”
General Stratrigon: “You didn’t answer my question, Mr. Captain.”
Captain: “And so what? This is not a matter for a civilian.” As he says this he turns to face her and then he sees her uniform and the rank marks on her shoulders. “I am sorry, I didn’t know you were a general, Sir!”
General Stratrigon: “Now you know. Tell me of the status.”
Captain: “We have been forced to withdraw form the main posts around Asgood and the Headquarter there will soon fall into the hands of the Mastermind.”

The Power council meeting:
Tinalis: “Welcome all, we have been called together to solve the problem with the Mastermind.”

Pull back everyone pull back!" His Lieutenany was yelling in feer. But the fact was they couldn't pull back no one in the whole battalion could. Well what was left of the Battalion. There was perhaps 1/3 of the total number of men and women that were still Combat effective but even worse was that most of the offices were dead. Rand saw is as a small blessing. But he wanted to get out of their alive as he assumed everyone else.

"Damn it to Hell" he yelled at mortar fire came in. The enemy had thought of every asspect of thei defence and were crushing it under their boot.

"Corporal we need to ger out of here!" begged a buck private near him. He was second i command a all noncom's were out of the fight.

"No freaking duh private! I onlt see one way out of this... when were are dead" Everything they had thought of everything... or maybe not. Rand reached over and pulled the radios transmitter to his lips and spoke." All units this is Delta Company so listen up we have one chance to get out of this alive. We need all out firepower on one and mean everything. Now on may mark firing everything including the kitched sink 200 meter front of this position...."

Almost 3 hours after the transmission from miss Alferda. Ambassador Kregen Asmist finally arrived at the airport.

Spirit took off for Asgood, a trip on 8 hours.

When Spirit finally arrived at the Asgood airport. It had already been take by the Mastermind and most of the soldiers of the national guard of Digital Technology had already left the city. Ambassador Kregen Asmist, his adviser and the pilots was unaware of this. So just after Spirit had landed on the runway. Soldiers loyal to the Mastermind took all onboard Spirit captive.

23 days after the first appearence of the Mastermind.

Headquarter of the Mastermind in the city of Asgood.

Adviser Nino Endoro walked into the chamber slowly. It was not good news she was bringing to him this time.

The Mastermind: "Have you captured the capital, adviser?"
Adviser Nino Endoro: "No, Mastermind. We have meet heavy resistance near the cities of Casera and Canderas and we are not able to go around these two key points. We are not even able to force them back."
The Mastermind: "Who is leading these forces, adviser?"
Adviser Nino Endoro: "The forces around Casera is lead by General Stratrigon and the forces around Canderas seems to be lead by General Tinalis."
The Mastermind: "That is impossible. Tinalis is dead."
Adviser Nino Endoro: "It is a descendant from strategist Tinalis. There is an other matter, the young girl who attacked us in a research laboratory on the dark Isle of despair, she could become dangerous. Should I make the arrangements?"
The Mastermind: "No, I might still have use for her. As for the city of Canderas send more forces there to keep her occupied."

The palace of The Magistrate in the Capital city of Suldarie.

Magistrate: "Speaker, the time has come to take the fight to the Mastermind, we are going to be more offensive in our actions from now on. The only advantage he has is his ability to use the master system without it his soldiers will be brought into confusion and be unable to move."
The Speaker: "But the only way to do this is to attack him with the master system and that doesn't exist anymore."
Magistrate: "Oh, yes. It does exit. But only three of the five remain. One on the dark Isle of despair, one in Asgood and one here in Suldarie."
The Speaker: "But think of the danger."
Magistrate: "It is the only choise left. I leave you in command of the military."

On the dark Isle of despair that lies near the coast city of Asgood.

In a research laboratory

The young girl had gotten better. She had woken up in a prison cell. There were 10 others in here. They were members of the National Guard. They had taken care of her while she was asleep. She had to get out of the prison cell in order to stop the Mastermind.

13 year old girl: "How do we get out of here?"
Soldier: "We can't."

A guard comes down the corridor with food

Guard: "Your plan failed, girl. The Mastermind has taken over the main land."
13 year old girl: "Why lie to yourself."

She steps away from the door so the guard can open it and feel safe

Guard: "What the ...."

The guard feeling safe stepped into the cell and just as he was about to place the food on the floor. The young girl jumped at him, he was not quick enough to get to the door and within a second all the soldiers are helping her. The young girl took the guards keys and looked him in the cell.

The National Guard soldiers followed her to the other prison cells were other soldiers awaited them. As soon as she had freed all the National Guard soldiers in the prison cells, she and the soldier moved on to the laboratory were the master system was kept.

The National Guard Soldiers secured the place and took positions near the entrance to the laboratory.

Thirty soldier, she thought as she walked over to the master system, if she could divert the Mastermind for a whole day. The National Guard on the main land would be able to fight him back. She already knew that the possibility of success was very little and she knew that the cost for trying would be even higher, but as a member of the Desatras famili, she could not give up now.

She entered the password to the master system, connect the special helmet to the master system and took it on.

At first all appeared to be darkness.
