Press Conference Called in the Capitol of West Virginia, Charleston

Good afternoon.

We the people of the state of West Virginia officially request that Lady Siri and her forces withdraw from our government and territories. Our economy has not improved as claimed it would, in fact, it has dropped dramatically. The elves have deprived us of our economic balance by putting restrictions on our timbering and coal mining industries. We cannot stand by and do nothing anymore.

If our request is not met, as we were told it would be should a request be made, we will resort to force, as much as we would hate to incur another civil war on US soil.

We'll gladly send an ambassador to meet with your leaders in Charleston. If there are grievances against the Imperial government, this of course concerns Menelmacar, and we would be glad to hear them out. We'd ask that you continue to comply with Menelmacari law until we can attempt to resolve these differences.

The Five Civilized Nations has officially recognized that the nation of Free West Virginia is a separate entity from the nation of Menelmacar. The Five Civilized Nations is prepared to loan the government of the nation of Free West Virginia, a substantial sum of money.

In addition, we would like to open an embassy in the capital of the nation, Charleston and consulates in the major cities...

Yes, we too recognize that West Virginia is separate from the nation of Menelcalmar, for the obvious reason that there is no extant nation by the name of Menelcalmar. We'd ask that you spell the name correctly in future.

Further, as much as we'd love to have help protecting our territories from these mysterious Menelcalmari, your help is not required, and any attempt to land troops on Menelmacari lands will be taken as an act of war. That is a path you do not want to follow, I assure you.

This is acceptable, both the ambassador and the request to maintain Menelmacari law. We believe this is how the US would have expected us to react were the true Union still around.

We thank you for your recognition and your support. We will however have to turn down your monetary support until the proper diplomatic channels with Menelmacar are taken.

We also welcome the opening of a new embassy and would recommend consulates in Wheeling, Morgantown, Clarksburg, and Parkersburg.

The Knootian ministry of Foreign Affairs simply refused to comment on the situation stating that "It is a Menelmacari internal affair"

We thank you for your recognization and welcome a diplomatic assignment to our Nation/State. We also thank you for your offer of military support, but we hope to avoid an armed conflict with Menelmacar.

As Menelmacar presumably retains de facto control and controls access to the territory, we are requesting permission from Menelmacari authorities to send an ambassador to Charleston to discuss establishing diplomatic relations with Free West Virginia.

At the SCG Tower in Greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles CCD, Sovereign Calfornia.

Sandra woke up at 7:41pm at night with an empty bottle of Neuramisa Klenath (305 Proof) and an empty glass in her right hand, she depositied the crystal ware on the first table she seen and went to the Comms Room to see what was so urgent.

She thought it would be one of the Field Generals sending updates on the Transvaal Republic vs. Madagascar & Mozambique conflict, but instead she was greeted to the caffeine perked grin of a SCG Tower secretary.

"Hello, Miss Preside—" the secretary faltered seeing Sandra standing before the Comms Screen completely nude. "Oh, I am sorry Miss President, I didn't know you were nake—"

"Spare me the apologies, it isn't like you haven't seen another woman before." Sandra snapped.

"Yes, Well ok. This morning we got an urgent call from a nation calling themselves an ally of yours... they're calling themselves Free West Virginia..." the secretary recited.

"...And?!?" Sandra inquired impatiently.

"Well, miss, it said here that as of 32 hours ago, that the State of West Virginia declared independence from the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar, they've began using the name "Free West Virginia" since."

Deep in the back of Sandra's mind she wanted to drop her jaw in surprise, but she had an image to uphold. So standing there nude infront of the Comms Screen she regained her composure.

"Ok. Erica, This is what I want you to do. I need you to go up to the eighty-fourth floor to the Saffyre Quarter on the West Outlook. If anyone asks any questions tell them you are on urgent business for N'Eressë T'zinuvi'el. I will place a call in advance telling the doormen that you're on your way, once you get inside walk down the hallway and take the doorway at the end of the hall once you're in the Parliament Room... you will know it when you see it, but I want you to tell the Speaker Of The House when you are motioned to approach him about West Virginia, and come straight back."

Erica took in all of the information. "Anything else?"

Sandra then looked her top to bottom, and gave a smirk "Yes, there is something else you can do... I will place another call down to the front desk to have the secretary filling in for you take over for the day, I want you to go up to your room, put on your best outfit... It's my turn to take you out on a date now." Sandra shot back a wink and smile.

Erica "Black satin dress, Thigh high leather boots, black hose, and matching black lace bra & panty set?"

Sandra smiled "Wow, I like your style. I gotta hand it to you. You bringing your purse, Erica?"

Erica smiled, then opened her purse and checked "Yep, everything."

Sandra smiled. "Ok, on your way I don't want to keep you waiting"

Erica then took off for the Express elevators because she didn't want to miss her date with Sandra.

Whittier will watch the situation carefully, and delivered demands to Menelmacar that they are obligated to prevent unnecessary civilian casualties.
Whittier may recognize the independence of West Virginia should a referendum show the people of said state wish to reclaim their independence from the elves.
However, until then, Whittier recognizes the government of Menelmacar as the legitimate soverign over West Virginia.
