Premier's Estate,
Valkonezh City

"War. War. War." The young Premier, Alexey Zvarinsky flips page by page of the annual international events report from the intelligence agency. "War. Military equipment purchase. War. Rebellion. War. Public criticism of communist ideals. War. War. War! WAR!" He throws away the folder. "Couldn't the world do anything other than WAR!? Honestly, I know that humanity could never truly avoid conflict, but to continue to be at it every single day, month and year is ludicruos!" He stamps down his feet and heads for the balcony and looks at the city, Valkonezh, the capital city of the United Communist States of Zvarinograd. Then, his eyes and ears perked.

What if...

Southern Valkonezh City.

The Premier stood at the center of the stage, with the presidential declaration crew surrounding him. He takes a bold stance, head nearly up high, a little irritated. The Premier had told the crew to broadcast his message to all nations who were in a state of war.

“Hear me, world, for I have just about all I can take from your wretched lust for bloodshed. Listen to my words, men and women of all nations, all ideologies, all races.

HAVE you forgotten yet?...
For the world's events have rumbled on since those gagged days,
Like traffic checked while at the crossing of city-ways:
And the haunted gap in your mind has filled with thoughts that flow
Like clouds in the lit heaven of life; and you're a man reprieved to go,
Taking your peaceful share of Time, with joy to spare.
But the past is just the same--and War's a bloody game...
Have you forgotten yet?...
Look down, and swear by the slain of the War that you'll never forget.
Do you remember the dark months you held the sector at Mametz--
The nights you watched and wired and dug and piled sandbags on parapets?
Do you remember the rats; and the stench
Of corpses rotting in front of the front-line trench--
And dawn coming, dirty-white, and chill with a hopeless rain?
Do you ever stop and ask, 'Is it all going to happen again?'
Do you remember that hour of din before the attack--
And the anger, the blind compassion that seized and shook you then
As you peered at the doomed and haggard faces of your men?
Do you remember the stretcher-cases lurching back
With dying eyes and lolling heads--those ashen-grey
Masks of the lads who once were keen and kind and gay?
Have you forgotten yet?...
Look up, and swear by the green of the spring that you'll never forget.

That is all I have to share with you.“

OOC:
Well. I was tired of seeing the word war on the forums. Humour me.

Message: Hello Premier Alexey Zvarinsky, I would like to commend you on your speach. We are glad to see that not all other nations are either busy planning attacks, attacking, or being forced to defend them selfs these days.
Unfortunately, I do not know how much good your message will do, as there are to many nations lusting for power and conquest.

It is true that humanity will never be satisfied in it's search for power, but at least that they would know the implications of war. At least, there would be a single cry to the deaf ears of these nations who lust, who take pride in war. That single cry of defiance is what sparked great revolutions in history and all that cry needs is to touch the hearts of the people.
